hey zombie how are you taking your ALA again??? is it in caps and whats your normal dose range.... just realized the NP bulk caps are pretty cheap if you dont have to dose too many...

at first i was taking 3 a day 10 min before the main meals, then i was browsing info on ALA and in some place it came that patients on a study taking 3 caps off 300 mg cause some kind of arithmia(sp?) and something else i dont remmeber, then i droped it to only preworkout, but i liked it better 3 times a day so im back to 3 caps ed. what i found to work better for me is taking one as soon as i wake up then 20 min before my preworkout meal/shake(today was like 200gr of whole wheat pasta with ragu sauce) then take the last pill before i start my last excersice and get back home and eat something.
 
also i noticed that ala hits me harder than AP, the first time i took ALA on a empty stomach and waited like 30 minutes to get something to eat for breakfast i felt really hypo(cold hands, felt weird, i was craving alot of food, light headed etc.)
 
dang sounds like a crazy strong insulin effect! does it actually affect your bodies insulin levels or just cause the same type of effect itself?

and im guessing obviously from your preworkout meal that this is best used with high amounts of low GI carbs?

i just got 2 boxes of pslin as well that ill be using, would it be unwise to your knowledge to take the 2 of these together?

IMO it would be a waste of product, chose either one. actually i didnt spect it to work that good(ala) its a supplement that has many benefits and its being overlooked. Or she can try one supps one week and the other week try the other. or one day one then the other one to see what works for her..

you can get try to disolv half the dose of a cap in a shot glass or take 1 just to meassure her tolerance and adjust her dose acording to how she feels on it. Green tea caps+ ALA+ DCP+ Sesamin oil and fish oil have been a good stak for this few days. its helping me detox from more than 2 years of megadosing supps.
 
nice! thanks for all the tips man im pretty sure ill be picking some up ad havin her try it out, if she doesnt like it ill just save it for myself later, can always use help since im usually bulking and could do without any misguided cals thinking they want to be fat.

ya ill prob get some NAC caps for her, i take cycle support on a regular basis just for all its detox ad health benifits.... also i like to be nicer to my liver nowadays after beating it up so much..... still dont mean i wont give it a good drink every now and then....

i was mostly plannin on her usin it for the nutrient partitioning, but yes the other benifits are def welcome... funny thing is thast all i knew it was good for in the past, no clue it was able to help in these insulin like ways, always learnin thats why i love it here.
 
i like ala price its really cheap for what it does. i just got 1 baggie this time, in my next order im goign to order atleast 2 more just to keep handy. i plan on testing it pre drinking days to see if avoids or reduces the bloat, also get her some DCP shes goign to love it

sesamin (need help here, whats the best for your buck in your opinion guys??)

well i have tried scivations sesamin caps and they gave me the shietz, im currently taking around 6-8ml of primaforce sesamin BUT this one has to be dosed with seringe with this one i havent had any problems except that i ahve to carry the bottle and the seringe from here and work to dose it. i been thinking on going to walgreens and get an extra oral seringe and carry what im going to need for the day. Also you cant go wrong with avants sesamin. I have never used Axis labs products but they look decent they also have a sesamin product i think its called sesamax.
 
Morning Ladies. I have to drive by UPS during my lunch break(aka leave for 2 hours to go to the gym break) to pick up my supplement package. Because I have to sign for it, and they only deliver when I'm at work :frustrate

What a pain in the ass.

yeah, a bit was bm related, I had curry scallops + garbanzos with qunoa for dinner, and had 2 servings worth, which is a good bit of intestinal tract fillage.

I still think I should be making more progress than I am tho. mostly i'm impatient

Your pictures could be used for a testimonial. You have made progress by leaps and bounds. It didn't take a you a few months to become overweight, so it's gonna take even longer to get lean.

I feel the same way about myself. I want to be lean and muscular too...it's hard...it's even harder when you are OUR age! :D

I'm gonna start leaning out in January for the Spring. So, I'll be :frustrate: with you! LOL

BTW, that is a lot of fiber :gas:
 
I stopped taking my own music to the gym.
Sure, you rarely hear a gym with suitable workout music, but I find if I'm in charge of the music, I find myself waiting sometimes for the good parts to come up, or taking longer to find a song for my next set.
 
yeah, but theres a big difference between 70s medium rock or country, vs metallica and linkin park. It really only matters to me for flat bench, and squats. any other movement it doesnt.

btw, 60lbs was right, I just managed 2 sets, 9 and 6 I think it was with that, with keeping clean form on the barbell curls. elbows didn't move, upper body angle didn't change

60lbs!!! damn easy! I must admit my Bis look(ed) pretty good but its all show,45 and 50lbs are the best i can really do in strict form...... tris though are insane, at one point in time id easily cable press the whole stack and not even budge.....

:( oh my bad.... its still ok you got me beat out right now since im still outta the gym for a lil bit.... prob would have trouble with the 20lb'ers right now... plus my tris hurt soooooo bad from the TUT pushups i did a couple days ago i cant even scratch my nose cause it pulls on the tightened tendon and muscle too bad.... not fun being outta the loop this long...
 
are you doing the TUT pushups on milk crates? or how high are your hands?

no i was placing my hands about equal with the bottom of my ribs when all the way down and on my tippy toes (almost parallel) then slowly push up and backwards with my toes perpendicular to the ground.... really kill s the tris and upper chest.... not to mention i probally over did it for my tendons this early and they hurt moreso the the main muscle mass itself.
 
I tried some DC style stuff yesterday with the rest-pause or whatever its called, where you rep out, pause for a second, grind out a few and/or rest under tension for 15 seconds, go until you fail, repeat 2x.

Today, my traps, lats, rear delts...all feel like burning. I didn't even isolate traps or rear delts. The damn things got hit HARD!

I can't wait until I start my next cycle with the DC training. I'm at a plateau on 60 lb DB curls, and I think this might get me over the hump to possibly 70's (along with every other plateau I've hit) That would be the cats ass.
 
Niiiiiiiiice! if youve been workin out solid and have trouble "getting sore" and then tore your self up with this then stick with it and youll def be breakin PR's!!
 
the one tut pushup routine I was looking at your hands a bit more than shoulder width, and off the floor. milkcrates, phone books, whatever, somewhere from 3" to 12" basically depending on your stretch level. doing your set, you do normal pushup range of motion with either 1sec up/2 dow or 2 up/4 down, then the last rep you stop at the top and hold till you hit the floor :)
 
hey guess what? I just realized another exercize I do with bad form. wide grip pulldowns. I'm too close to vertical, and don't bring it down far enough. I do em about like this which is funny, it gets used as an example pic but below it says
 
For pulldowns:

1) I think you really want to go for a moderate grip position. Too narrow and too far I just feel leads to over reliance on the biceps.
2) Pulling the bar too far down also requires too much biceps. It's fine to stop near where the bar reaches the level that your mouth is at.
3) Your torso should be nearly vertical with perhaps a slight bend backwards. You shouldn't be leaning back at all, that just makes the exercise a row. But it's not a row, it's a pulldown, supposed to hit difference areas of the back entirely.
