LOL...Nice job E. Do you use heel blocks or flat footed?

flat for now. i'm more concerned with range of motion and form then weight. weight I can move up over time. Actually it was A2heel, couldn't quite make ground the way the cage was set up

yesterday, I saw this guy trying to press something like 245lbs on the incline. He would drive his pelvis up off the bench such that it almost made his torso parallel to the floor. I wanted to tell him to just use a flat bench, it would be safer.

Wow...that's a big arch. Guaranteed, a guy like that, will NOT listen to your advice. Until he's wearing the bar as a necklace!

Wow, you are really flexible. I could not go that low w/ just the bar flat footed. The heel blocks have helped me get much lower than I ever could before.

Yeah...no...I'd be flat on my butt if I tried those LOL

Thanks to some tips from el Mero Mero, I started working on my squat form trying to get as low as possible and I was struggling using 155 with heel blocks. Luckily, my ego is not what it used to be ;)

Unlike some guys at my gym... unracking 405 and doing a 1/4 squat...with a belt...and wraps! :squat:

I think everybody should do squats, until you see them doing squats. Some throw on a bunch of weight and barely bend their knees, or they do a hybrid squat/good morning, or they do them on the Smith Machine...

Maybe they're just unaware that that is ineffective. Do you think it would be rude to try to inform them?

A few weeks ago, I did see one dude that didn't look all that big or strong do a 405 rep to parallel with a really wide stance.

Most people I do see with a heavy squat use a Powerlifting stance.

My squat is weak right now, but slowly building it back up. I've been focusing on the iso and actually pausing a second or so....

Yeah, I see many clowns do that as well. Flat bench or incline. I am sure they would do it on decline as will if they could.

I use to try to help people, but most people have a pride issue or something.

Some cat started talking to me at the gym, in general. I ended up giving him some tips, but he just couldn't grasp it....

Agreed...squat form is like a golf swing...there are some really ugly ones out there. My squat is U-G-L-Y! But...getting better! ;)

Guilty

they do a hybrid squat/good morning

Guilty

or they do them on the Smith Machine...

OK...once...but I was in college...I was experimenting...he told me it would be OUR little secret :ntome:

my macros for the day so far...

total cals 1235
fat g 94
carbs g 8 (net 4)
protein g 92

I like ketogenic diets. I'm already at medium on the ketostix

Did you see the one they caught in Texas? Or they thought they caught. I swear wet bizzies drive me nuts. I am glad I am spic HEHEHE

Did you hear about the new sitcom about a guy from Spain and a Mexican who are roomates?

It's called...'Spic and Span' :run:

well, at 40g bcaa + 10g glutamine, they are "protein" basically, and thats a significant amount when my total daily intake according to mcdonald should be no more than 180g. I'm trying to be really precise on this one.

Rodja had mentioned in a post, that BCAA had no caloric value...

He's a BCAA fanatic.

Your body will convert BCAA's + Glutamine into usable energy, what this does to ketosis, not sure, but that is why they recommend Glutamine on a restricted, low-carb diet.

never saw a '+' before, what's that mean?

I thought it was the amount of energy to raise the temperature of 1g water by 1 degree C.

In other words, it's energy, but I think our bodies would only use some of the energy to maintain a constant temperature, not raise it above normal to something that you would notice, there's more useful things to spend the energy on.

speaking of narcs, i can't believe how some people are suggesting that PA helped the feds with the raid last week. how ridiculous

Seriously? LOL What's he doing...rolling over for a reduced sentence??? Eliminating the competition like a street drug dealr?

Conspiracy I tell YOU!!!

the bolded is the claim. how retarded. if anything he's always seemed to try to get the other companies to lie low a little, not so many outrageous claims. plus he's big on compounds being what they are adverstised as being, plus not marketing suppressive products as PCT materials.

it just happens that if you've been on the other side of that, I guess it might feel different

You should pay attention to how your body responds to food then, because it is called diet-induced thermogenesis

I just had a SBD pizza and I guess I feel a little warmer. But maybe it's just the red pepper flakes that I added.

I didn't get to look into much about "diet-induced thermogenesis" yet, but it seems that it's about an increase in energy expenditure (not body temperature?) above base level right after feeding. This makes sense.
