Sounds like a PL squat. Bar was under the traps? I prefer that style cause you can move wore weight.
yesterday, I saw this guy trying to press something like 245lbs on the incline. He would drive his pelvis up off the bench such that it almost made his torso parallel to the floor. I wanted to tell him to just use a flat bench, it would be safer.
flat for now. i'm more concerned with range of motion and form then weight. weight I can move up over time. Actually it was A2heel, couldn't quite make ground the way the cage was set up
Yeah, he comes in with the other powerlifters in the evening and they all hang out around the lifting platform trying to do crazy things.
Wow, you are really flexible. I could not go that low w/ just the bar flat footed. The heel blocks have helped me get much lower than I ever could before.
its cause I have no muscle to get in the way, and fat moves easy
you can get sore from not doing any weight, try doing a whole workout of sissy squats

Yeah...no...I'd be flat on my butt if I tried those LOL
Thanks to some tips from el Mero Mero, I started working on my squat form trying to get as low as possible and I was struggling using 155 with heel blocks. Luckily, my ego is not what it used to be
Unlike some guys at my gym... unracking 405 and doing a 1/4 squat...with a belt...and wraps! :squat:
Goat suckers!

Maybe they're just unaware that that is ineffective. Do you think it would be rude to try to inform them?
A few weeks ago, I did see one dude that didn't look all that big or strong do a 405 rep to parallel with a really wide stance.

I almost spit my yogurt out!
I think everybody should do squats, until you see them doing squats.
Some throw on a bunch of weight and barely bend their knees
they do a hybrid squat/good morning
or they do them on the Smith Machine...
I have to count BCAAs and glutamine right?
Did you see the one they caught in Texas? Or they thought they caught. I swear wet bizzies drive me nuts. I am glad I am spic HEHEHE
x10 tambien
*wipes wil's yogurt from my face*
well, at 40g bcaa + 10g glutamine, they are "protein" basically, and thats a significant amount when my total daily intake according to mcdonald should be no more than 180g. I'm trying to be really precise on this one.
cool, i'll check with him
hmm ok, lemee post a thread in nutrition then and get opinions
BCAAs are a form of protein. 1g of protein=4 kcals.

I might have to disagree with that.
A calorie is reference to an elevation in body temp. Do you feel hotter after mega-dosing BCAA's?
I don't feel hotter after a double quarter pounder with cheese either tho![]()

You should pay attention to how your body responds to food then, because it is called diet-induced thermogenesis

never saw a '+' before, what's that mean?
I thought it was the amount of energy to raise the temperature of 1g water by 1 degree C.
Am I correct in assuming that that is due to all the blow flowing to your stomach to get the digestion going?
He's on your buddy list...how come I'm not on your buddy list? Narc!![]()
