what are everyone's favorite nootropics?

I really want to try noopept again but I don't want to feel tired. I love my energy from supplements. I want to use 10mg and no choline source. Do some of you take this before bed instead? I want to see why you guys like it so much but I couldn't stand the tired feeling, the last I tried it. How many days until it works?

I find it makes me tired if I use it ED and the higher the dosage. now I only use noopept at times of need (1x a week or more) at only low dose of 10mg.

If you don't like taking choline with it that's fine just make sure you eat enough choline rich foods like eggs etc

Plus have your morning coffee or stims with the noopept. I swear it has a synergistic effect

So far I feel fine. I never got to feel yet why you guys love it so much. I already feel that I have too much empathy, so I don't need that boost. Curious to why you guys say it gets better over time, can you explain that?

This. I find things that may be calming (like ashwagandha for example) go well with caffeine and stimulants. Perhaps it's similar to the synergism between caffeine and theanine. Certain ingredients may be a bit too calming or relaxing alone, but when you add in some caffeine, it gives you a nice, clean energy, plus the benefits of the other supplement that may otherwise make you a bit too calm or tired.

I just read a study that showed similar nootropic benefits with Noopept and piracetam, although piracetam had a more psychostimulatory effect than Noopept. Granted, this study was for the Treatment of Patients with Mild Cognitive Disorders in Organic Brain Diseases of Vascular and Traumatic Origin, but it's still interesting.

I'm thinking of trying noopept again. Everytime I've tried it, it made me tired at 10mg. I have huperzine. Would take noopept and huperzine together, prevent the tiredness or be a good combo. I wish I could get to feel why you guys like noopept, so much. But the tiredness has always made me stop.

Have had some noopept for over a year. Still havent tried it yet. Anyone find it advantageous in thier use?

Yeah, I find it to be a good addition and see an acute increase in focus from it. It's inexpensive. The only downside is when I was using it heavily no one had come out with caps yet so measuring the dosage was a crap shoot but I can confidently say I was in the 20-40mg dose. Now SNS makes caps so that makes it easier to take.

If you already have some, I'd take some and see if it works for you.

Powder city has caps of noopept and I think huperzine too. Their quality is good and cheap too.

Also I have usually been drinking all of my noots I've tried. Does taking in a capsule make a difference. I have 10mg of noopept capsules. I have hordenine hcl

I'm going to have to research this more..with stricter laws it's been harder to get Xanax..my PCPs office was complaining about a refill in over 2 months..

Tried phenylpiracetam in a capsule stacked with other maoi and yohimbe hcl. Works very well. I ordered a lot of it, then stopped. I started drinking it and I know, that's when it affected me differently.

I'm not a good responder to choline, I know. I emailed powder city, as I always do. They said it's actually really common with choline. I want to like noopept, but I have always noted it drained me. So that's why I'm thinking that.

I'm looking for something to make me want to be around people, including my friends. I'm really antisocial or something. I've always been that way. Other benefits too but that is the main one.

Try l-tyrosine or macuna. Increasing dopamine will really help this area.

Noopept is garbage imo. I tried it on and off at low dosage to relatively high and it made my emotions flat, my mood irritable, very forgetful

What have you tried taking it with? Part of an effective nootropic stack is ingredients that compliment each other, either by potentiating the effects of each other, or by reducing the negatives of other ingredients.

Of course with choline sources, other noots like prami, phenyl etc tried a few combos

Just doesn't agree with me I suppose! Everyone's brain chemistry is different :)

What I've tried to help. Ashwanda, phenylpiracetam, mucana prureins, l dopa, piracetam, inositol (take daily), citocholine, choline bitrate, subulatime or something. I know there is more but I can't remember now., and noopept. I take tyrosine daily. I tried the other tyrosine too. I was not introverted when I was taking ephedra. Damn I miss that stuff.

Sorry if you already mentioned it, but have you tried aniracetam, bacopa, or kava?

With the ashwaganda, was it ksm-66? I was taking just regular ashwaganda at first and tried the ksm-66, there is a drastic difference. Also was the l-tyrosine taken on a completely empty stomach?

You like the ksm 66 kind? What do you like about it? I feel really flat in personality Everytime I take that noopept. I hate that.

KSM-66 is just QUALITY ashwagandha. While most extracts are standardized to 1.5-2.5% withanolides, KSM is standardized to 5%. Additionally, most extracts use titration or gravimetry to test for withanolides, which inflates the %, while KSM uses the more accurate HPLC testing. They say that when KSM is tested with gravimetry, it shows 8-15% withanolides. Basically, KSM is anywhere from 3-10x stronger than your typical 1.5-2.5% extract standardized according to gravimetry.

In any normal circumstance, I would recommend aniracetam as it has very pro social and communication benefits, but as they are similar minus a slightly different effect on how they work from a memory standpoint it may continue to feel dull as it has moderate to high anxiolytic effects. The main difference I notice is that noopept is energizing and helps with focus, while aniracetam is wonderful for memory and vocabulary recall and the desire for social interaction.

It couldn't hurt to try and I will say that ani has been my favorite noot for years now.

same here. I always go back to aniracetam.

Time and time again I always revert to this stack: coffee + l-theanine, ALCAR, aniracetam, vinpocetine, DMAE, and alpha-GPC for the choline source. I get most of this from Powder City, excellent quality.

Have yet to try KSM-66 though. I know Nootropics Depot carries it and respect that company.

I love that powder city sends you the right scoops with everything. I never have to weight anything, I buy there. The yohimbe hcl they have, is great.

Sorry if TMI but am I the only one to get horrible diarrhea (like being really sick) from Focus XT? Could it be the Choline?

It's the choline. It does seem to subside in most people, but I do suggest taking a half scoop for a little bit just to give your body a chance to adapt.

my favorite was demiurge by AL. If I had a lot of code to write, this is what I would use. Also worked great for going to the bars when I'm not drinking...mood was great, and game was strong :)

Thank you for telling me about ksm 66, that is really good stuff. I love it. Been taking 4 days and I feel better and connected to people.

That might be the wrong person. But whoever it was thank you, for telling me about that particular ashwaganda.

How is ksm 66 better than Ashwagandha (which is also available at PC)?

KSM is just a quality standardized ashwagandha extract. Most extracts measure/standardize withanolide content according to titration or gravimetry. KSM, Sensoril, and a few other quality extracts measure with HPLC, which is more accurate, but gives lower readings. KSM claims that their extract, which is 5% HPLC, comes up 8-15% with the other methods. So, basically, your typical 2.5% extract is likely closer to 1% according to HPLC, which is what the studies typically use, as it is more accurate.

I felt like crap from regular ashwaganda. This ksm 66 is good. Making me poop like crazy tho but I like it. Reminds me of what you all are saying you love about noopept, but never happened to me, but feeling like **** from noopept.

Anyone know the reason why ksm 66, makes you poop so much, lol. Usually anything that constipates me makes me feel crappy. However this is making me go a lot, but I do feel great from it. Is it a beginning side effect? I take it with food.

I haven't heard of that. It's an herbal extract, sometimes they treat different peoples' stomachs in different ways. Glad it's treating you well though.
