Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

I go by Capicu, I generally try to stay off the radar, but like having access to as much info as possible. I am not a hardcore lifter, and I often switch the types and intensities of my workouts ranging from calisthenics, to heavy lifting, to hiit... Just depends on my goals during that stage of my life.

Welcome!

New to the thread soldier 30 years old not necessarily looking for massive bodybuilding level of gain.. But looking to gain strength and keep weight down.

Forgot to introduce myself:
Former heavy guy in high school and then got into lifting (more bodyingbuilding stuff with no set routine) and more recently have been focusing on my strength and leaning more towards the powerlifting side of things and try to fill out this 6'5" frame along the way

Hi, I'm Alan. I'm 25 and ran across this place accidentally but it seems to have awesome info! I've never been on a forum before so I'm super new to this all. I was born in Mexico and grew up without a dad so I got into working out because I would watch wrestlers when I was younger and I thought that that was how men were supposed to look. I love the health and fitness lifestyle. I'm not a pro at anything but I've been lifting since middle school so I might know a little. But I'm here and excited to learn and grow with you all! :)

Hi, my name is Rafael, go by Raven or Nevar (mix of my name and last name). 41 years old with 4 beautiful children. I'm a former Marine and also served in the Army(don't ask why the change). Did 13 months in Iraq and got out because it destroyed my family. I'm not allowed to work because of my PTSD, so I'm a stay-at-home dad. I've been up and down for a few years when it comes down to getting back in shape. But recently I did a challenge at a gym and that has kept me going and have been working out now for about 3 months straight. I'm just here to get knowledge and read what others have to say and learn from others.

Welcome brother. US Army here as well.

Hi, I'm Paul 31 and no one is freaking care of me. What I do is still a mystery. I join here to learn how body works with my skinny figure.

Welcome to AM, Paul! There are plenty of people here who will be happy to teach you what you want to learn!

Thank you, Beast, but my appetite is not great as every man is. I eat a small amount of food, I easily get full, I don't know how a soldier eats like there is no tomorrow.

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself!

Been lifting since high school, got serious in the military and now I'm looking to take things to the next level hopefully with y'alls help and experience! Starting my first cycle here in a few weeks, just waiting to get home this weekend and get bloodwork done.

27
5 ft 11in
230lbs

Hey, I've also had some similar issues. I hav trained jujitsu for 20 years. I'm 34 have a previous injury from an Omaplata which is a hyper extension of the arm behind the back(if your not sure) . Took me almost a full year to not even fully recover. Naturally without physio or anything cause finances were not there. After 3 years going well but messed it up again in both arms now. I have been looking into many ways of trying to speed up the healing. It's not as bad as the first time but still very painful 5lbs is my max to exercise with and it is at very low reps to avoid lots of pain. I'm now taking GH 6iu everyday and .50ml of test prop every second day. Hoping I'm going about this the right way. It's been 5 weeks now and no dramatic increase in recovery yet. Small about .. Any help or suggestions.

Hello.

I've been posting on this forum for a little while and decided it might be time to share my background. I love this place!

Education: Multiple master’s degrees including a degree in Health Education. I am also a BCBA.
Work: Personal Training, Teacher, Principal, business owner (Life Excursions)
Family: Amazing wife and a newborn son named Dorian after Mr. Olympia Champion Dorian Yates

Training History: 12 years of wrestling, 20 years of training with weights, 15 years more serious where I started to incorporate Squats, Deads, and Bench pressing into my routine.

People who inspired me at the start of my fitness journey when I was a kid: Hulk (Lou Ferigno), Arnold, Manifred Hoeberl (strongman with 23” arms), The ultimate warrior, Wolverine, Juggernaut, Superman

People who inspire me now: Brett Gibbs, Johnnie Candito, Jessie Norris, Doug Mille. Also, People who serve or have served in the armed forces, People living with disabilities who work hard at achieving their goals, and people who stay active later in life. Not necessarily in the gym.

What does my physique look like: in the past when I was into bodybuilding I weighed 170 pounds at 6% bodyfat. I’m currently 212 pounds around 15-16%. At the moment I’m focused on adding mass and building strength for powerfliting. I would like to set a world record on the bench press and that’s not going happen at 6% bodyfat. I weighed 135 when I began seriously weight training and added 75 pounds to my frame over 15 years. Imagine 75 pounds of steak on a table…

Motivation: My wife and son. Setting a bench press record in the USAPL. Improving my Squat, Deadlift and Bench press numbers. Most importantly I’d like to help you guys on your fitness journey.

Plans for my youtube channel
: Share what I’ve learned about fitness through research, working with coaches, and my own training over the past 20 years. Currently have around 50 topics I’d like to cover.

Example topics: Best headphones for the gym , nutrition, supplementation (something I like better than creatine for strength), product reviews, why natural lifters need to train at higher percentages to build mass and strength, my experiences with famous athletes including wrestling with UFC champion Matt Hughes, working with Pro bodybuilder Doug Miller, and competing against a former NFL player along with my plan to set a bench press world record.

Quote: It’s your attitude at the beginning of a task that determines success or failure.

My Youtube channel information is located in my signature. Feel free to subscribe and join me on my journey to set a world record on the bench press. I should be able to do it in 6-12 months (I would have gone after it sooner but Dorian is a priority right now).

Hey guys. My name is Jason, I'm 27 years old. I'm in the Army, I've been lifting since I was 15 years old or so, and I came here to further my knowledge-base in the subject of fitness and nutrition. My goals include financial independence, a fantastic home gym, and to watch my son grow up to be successful.

I also like long walks on the beach and red roses. :)

Welcome everyone!!

Hello! I'm Adam. I'm a US Army Paratrooper Combat Veteran and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. I am an avid fitness enthusiast and have been competing in bodybuilding since 2006 (in the NPC, once in the WBFF, and also once in the OCB). In 13 days I will be traveling from North Carolina to Pittsburgh to compete in the NPC Master's Nationals for Men's Physique! I'm extremely excited! I grew up in both St.Louis,MO. and Breckenridge, CO. and was highly competitive in baseball (played all over the world representing the US as a youth) and freestyle snowboarding (Big Air and Slopestyle). Now, I am about to start my final semester at The University of North Carolina-Greensboro as an Honor's Sociology student...then, off to UNC for grad school.
As you can see, I work hard, play hard, and absolutely LOVE life!!!

Jumpers do what? But seriously where you part of the 4th brigade? I was at Bragg training the 4th back in 2008. I was there from Hohenfels, Germany. I was with the 7th Army at the time.
