Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

Hey guys!

I've noticed quite a few introduction threads popping up recently and thought it would be a good idea to get one thread up for new members to come in and introduce themselves.

So... if you're a new member and or newish, hell, if you're a veteran here introduce yourself! This should serve as a get-to-know the Anabolic Minds Family thread!

We all remember what it was like to first start posting on the forum or to lurk for a while before dipping your toe in, hoping to not get flamed, haha!

We here at Anabolic Minds, want EVERYONE to feel welcome! Just starting out, vets, weekend warriors, even crossfit enthusiasts;). Anabolic Minds as a community, aims to make this a place where people aren't excluded but feel welcome to ask a question that they think may be a silly one.

Come on in guys! Introduce yourselves and see what AM is all about! The members around here, vets or otherwise have a ton to contribute as I'm sure you all do as well!

Tell us why you're here, your goals, how you started out, aspirations for what you hope to accomplish long term or short etc. Whatever you feel is relevant for us to get to know you!

I'll go first!

I go by Spaniard around these parts. I've been a firefighter for ten years now. I've been working on getting my degree for a while but have jumped around to many different majors within this industry to find my niche. I think I've finally settled on biochemistry hahaha

I got into lifting when I was younger because I was tiny! Then I started to notice the changes that I was able to make with a little dedication and have been hooked ever since. I've been around here for a while and have a decent amount of experience, so if you ever have any q's feel free to hit me up!

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and hope that this will be just one small piece that helps you achieve your goals!

Hi I'm Dylan.

I'm new here, don't let my absurd post count fool you. ;)

25 years young, Canadian, bodybuilder and fitness enthusiast.
Attended the University of Western Ontario or Chemical Engineering (masters) and biochem.
Lost 100 lbs. since highschool, over 3 years, then wanted to take it further and began bodybuilding. Up 25 since then and leaner than ever.

Passionate about fitness, supplement science, and above all I am driven 2 lift ;)

Awesome thread!!!

Heyyyyy, I go by puccah and it's actually my dog's name! ?
? I am from California and I'm 33 years old! ? I am currently getting my degree in Accounting and I'm an Office Manager. ?? I got into fitness because I couldn't roll my fat a** off the couch one day and I told myself that I couldn't live like that anymore. During that time, my 8 year relationship also ended and I wanted a new start. 5 years later, here I am. As many of you know, this "fitness life" is not an easy journey but it is definitely one worth taking!!!! ??????????????

5 years ago, who would have thought....

Hi I'm Kat. I am an orthodontic assistant and specialty cake maker on the side. 32, married and have 2 kids. I grew up overweight. It wasn't until I was 27 that working out ever even crossed my mind. So as you can imagine, I was clueless on what to do. I tried every fad/yoyo diet out there with the typical unsuccessful results. After 1-2 years in the gym I slowly started trying actual workouts and investing time/effort into learning about lifting. I fell in love with lifting and learning about it all. Over the years I have lost over 70lbs and 30% bf...but I'm no where near done! Still a work in progress in every aspect of life! :) Invalid Link Removed

Hi, I'm Mark (you probably guessed that though). I've been actively involved here for around 8 months. I enjoy golf, snowboarding and weight lifting. I am 42 and have been lifting off and on for over 20 years. I have competed in 3 local powerlifting meets. I am a Baptist Pastor in rural New York. I am married with 3 children. My oldest is in college. That's all for now :)

Hi, I'm Anthony, or Phillip on Facebook. I can't let students look me up now! I have been training since I was 18. I am 26 now. I have been apart of this forum for a while now. I just finished student teaching and was offered a sub position for the rest of the year. I was planning on competing in a bodybuilding show in the summer of 2013, but was hospitalized and how to undergo a heart transplant. I still have me eyes set on competing

Do you have a log going on or anything? If you don't mind me asking why the need for the transplant, if preferred, you can pm me.

I'd really like to follow along in your log and think that you should def shoot to get on stage again buddy

Hello, a lot of people might know me from other places already, I've had an account here for a while now but never really got around to using it

Anyway, I'm 30, two kids, work full time, try to lift 4-5 times a week, busy summer is busy. I'll be posting around here a bit more.

I do not have a log. It was a genetic cause. The doctors found 3 mutations when they did a biopsy on the old heart. They ruled out one, but not the other two. They would need bloodwork from my father's side of the family to further determine what happened. I never had contact with that side of the family. They do not want to go for blood work. But the doctors know it is from my father's side and only affects men. My father and his brother passed from heart complications at an early age which is how they came to that conclusion. My mother does not have the defect.

Hey, I'm Brandon. My wife and I are personal trainers and our main goal is to look good naked. We're both striving for big backs, round shoulders and a trim waist. Learning about the science is a big thing for us.

Ok so I've been on here for a week or two, and I've tried searching around and couldn't come up with a conclusive answer or solution.

Why can't I view signatures, now before you say go to settings, I have went to settings and it is selected that I should be able to view signatures. Still nothing, can't see my own, can't see other peoples. I am on an iPhone 6 with the current os

Secondly, I see people post links and pictures but when I try it says you must have 5000 posts, yet the people I see posting links and pics do not have 5000 posts.

In my searching I saw there used to be a pay for premium upgrade feature is this still in effect? I could not find a place to do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

^ sigs should work if activated

Post count restriction is only in a few forum categories

There is no premium membership

I can't see any signatures on the new app.

Hey, I'm Jared. Been on this site a lot and read a lot of great information. Decided to just register and be part of the community. I am 32yo father of 2, and I'm from Jersey. Most of my life I was skinny until my first kid came along and I packed on a lot of weight. Just to give an idea my heaviest was around 270 and I use to weigh 185. I have completed p90x a few times and other workouts. Unfortunately something happens where I end up back out of shape. I decided this time it has to be a life style change and not just a quick fix. I am a natural athlete so its strange not being on the field or slopes. Tore my ACL a few years back in a soccer game and that was the last set back which caused me to lose my drive. I am in the gym 5-6 days a week around 5am so I can get home before everyone is awake. Tiring but feels awesome. Trying to get lean and drop the body fat.

Good determination it sounds like

What an awesome thread, thanks for starting this Spaniard! You got that right, AM truly is a family.

Welcome all new members and hello to the rest of the family.

My name is Daniel, 28 years young, and from cut throat Connecticut. By day I am an Assistant Meat/Seafood Sales Manager for a local supermarket and by night an internet troll. Long term career goal is to become a firefighter.

Although my join date reflects 2015, I initially joined back in 2012 and what has now become the biggest mistake of my life I had my account removed. Alright, maybe not the biggest mistake of my life, but a foolish one nonetheless.

I can honestly say I would not be where I am today without Anabolic Minds and the family members here. I have learned so much from this forum which has allowed me to grow both physically and spiritually.

In being back, my goals here are to continue to grow and learn along with helping out new and veteran members in need.

Also, I would like to organize the first actual Anabolic Minds picnic lol.

Hi all

Name is David. I'm a 27 year old male from Cleveland. I've recently dove into the fitness world after years of looking at myself in the mirror and realizing I could be happier with myself if I just took a stand and did something about it. I served active duty in the great United States Marine Corps, currently on in-active duty. Father of an awesome 2 year old and divorced ha. I currently work at a steel mill out here and my hours are crazy. So my gym times are normally when I get off work at 6 AM. Excited to join the Anabolic community, any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all

Welcome to everyone
