Wasme's recomp journey....

Sounds to me like Stimul8 is a muscle endurance boosting beast of a pre-workout! You got me real excited to try this now.

Wicked training as usual Simon, keep up the good work.

be careful JD. it packs a neat punch!!!

Oh and bring an extra set of clothing and towel.

Awesome sessions man! I really liked all the supersets on the last one. I feel Stimul8 keeps you moving and really doesn't let you have a rest so your only option is to pick up something else and keep working it.

Nothing gets me going like Stimul8.... thanks man.

Does it ever, Tommy when you take it for the first time adhere to that 1/2 scoop first workout test...

..and this as well, Chris knows Stimul8!

Exactly.. thanks Pete

Actually no.

For the last two weeks I have been trying to get myself back up to speed after really injuring my back at work (causing sciatica as well). So been going with push/pull/legs (with no bending movements - although i did light squats a couple of days ago).

Next week I think I will be ready to get back into a split routine either some FST7 or back into a Meadows Program. That said if I do FST7 it will be full of Meadows moves.I tried to go for a run this morning.. half way down the street my leg just folding under me - guess I am not ready for that yet lol. Actually it totally sucked..

we crawl before we walk....we walk before we run....

walk awhile, then slow jog awhile...then repeat as necessary

4/28/14 - LEGS

Well stiff leg deadlifts are still a no go. Attempted those today, pain right down the leg. Noted lol.

Besides that a great workout, very effective as the wheels are trashed... stairs suck.

Barbell Squats: 5x8
Leg Extensions: 9x10, 1x10, drop x8, drop x12 - brutal!
Leg Curls: 10x10 + 13 partials out of stretched position
Stiff Legged Dead Lifts: FAIL
Standing Barbell Calf Raises: 4x20 (10 second pause @ 10,20th rep)

Rest periods were 1 minute on squats, stretched back between sets. For extensions, curls and calves 15-30 seconds.

Still good work without the SLDL's.

That is the plan Tom... thanks bro!

as hard as it is to take it slow and easy.....it beats seriously injuring yourself and not being able to take it at all.

i think trying to come back too quickly from injuries is the biggest mistake athletes of all kinds make.

That's what my wife says when I'm going to fast in bedroom lol jk. I agree and for us men we don't know the meaning sometimes of slowing it down in the gym. I had to re learn to do lower weight bc of my tennis elbow when it acts up. It's def help but hindered my workouts at one point, then actally help me. It was like I can see my leaning and gains then when I went extra hard. Def glad your still feeling better bro. Hope the pain goes away soon.

I left SLDLs out of my workout today (as you saw) but I still managed to totally fûck up my hams and glutes...in a good way. :-)

Agreed. It is so hard though, when you think you are feeling better to not over do it. I have made this mistake far too many times. I figure if I can do 80% of the exercises with proper form, and sub other exercises in for the ones I can't for now - I'm golden. And for now it's just brisk walking till I feel my leg can support some running. Miss the runs, especially with the temps hovering in the low teens.. perfect running weather...

It's getting better daily.. I don't think I am far off now, as long as I don't do things I shouldn't as mentioned above.
I left my workout today (saw this guy) Managed to totally get fûcked - wew he hammered my glutes...in a good way. :-)
...that's not the pinning I thought you were doing? In all seriousness, I did notice that..and pretty much what I meant with subbing in exercises. Thanks bro.

Thanks guys I'll be sure to start off with only half a scoop!

Great logging Simon, hey how is the leg from the stiff legged deads? is it a lower back issue or just a strain in the leg?

Disc pressure on sciatic nerve.. but it is doing way better..got a great workout in this evening ... about to update.

4/30/2014

Kind of a long day today... got in from work and slammed back a nice big rounded scoop of Stimul8. And that, equals volume! Very intense workout, although I was a little hyper (too much Stimul8 - and even lost my mind and put laterals in my push day???)

Bench Press: 5x8
ss Banded Over and Backs

Guillotine Press (incline): 4x12
ss Banded Over and Backs

Hammer Grip Dumbbell Press (slight incline): 4x8
ss Banded Over and Backs

Machine Flies: 4x10
ss Banded Over and Backs

Military Press: 5x8
ss Skullcrushers (incline) : 5x8

Dumbbell Lateral Raises: 4x10 (I know...)
ss Pronated Kickbacks: 4x10

Overhead Db Press: 4x8
Vbar Pushdowns: 4x15

And done... chest/tris are pumped right up.. feels great!

Nice lift man.

Helluva workout bud...had to feel geeyood!

Wow talk about volume, I feel like I'm lookin at one of my workouts:) I'm working shoulders tomorrow, I'm going to try the banded over and backs. Ever since I got the bands, I look for any exercise to do with them

Thanks guys. Felt really good. Very short rest periods. Just went in the garage .. cranked up some Lamb of God and hit the task at hand.

You're much braver than I, Wasme, slamming Stinul8 after work. Especially a full scooplus.

Nice work brohemoth.

I shall be doing the same this evening - just a little less.

I'm fine taking it after work, as long as it hit up some G8 before bed lol.... natty uppers and downers ftw

5/1/2014

Ok last pull day for the 'getting back into it phase', legs tomorrow then Meadows, FST7 or MI40 on tap for the weekend.

Solid session today, arms pumped right up and back feels great. Pushed heavier on the seated rows and no apparent problems. Entire session was supersetted with no true rest periods to speak of. Heart rate was up, sweating up even more, and intensity through the rough - thanks in part a healthy dose of Stimul8 mixed with Ignite2, BCAA+SAA and sonic waves of Megadeth intra!

Wide Grip Pulldowns: 5x10
ss DB Shrugs: 5x12

- long stretch at the top for the pulldowns
- 1 second hold for the shrugs

CloseGrip Hand Facing Pulldowns: 4x10
ss EZ Bar Curls: 4x10

- 3 second eccentric on the ez's (wasn't so ez after all)

Stretchers: 4x10
Preacher Curls: 4x10

- Stretchers long stretch, and hard flex
- preachers focused on the flex at the top, did not let my arms go straight at the bottom

Seated Rows: 2x8, 4x8
Alternating DB Curls: 6x8

*was going to go lighter with a long TUT as 1ifeblood did today, but found that aceroni was right on the money with biceps coming into play, did two sets this way then restarted and did 4 at a heavier wait, with a controlled but faster pace.

- extra arm work here due to the added sets. Energy was through the roof

Facepulls: 4x10
DB Hammer Curls: 4x13,9,7,6

- squeeze and hold on the fp
- hammer curls focused on exhausting the muscle

.....GO BRUINS!
