Wasme's recomp journey....

Did you have xrays or mri?

No... but I had back surgery for something similar when i was 21-22... (disk at L4/L5 on sciatic nerve).. Felt the same, but things are progressing.

I think had I gone to emerge I would have gotten a MRI... But then I started to improve. Just going to have to keep an eye on things and be active, but lift lighter for the time being.

lol, thanks Tom

I'd love a dog to run with that's for sure! A Husky would be sweet... What kind of dog is Sid?

Huskys are a pain in and around the ass. Seriously.. Experience talking. Mine was so cute and fluffy, yet so evil. He shredded the arm of the couch one night. That's when the ex and I broke it off. She thought picking him up by the scruff like a cat and throwing him outside was too much. I'm more impressed I threw a 85lb dog that far... Seriously though they'll run till your tired and keep playing. It's incredible. They need a friend otherwise they become difficult. We actually got him another dog and his behavior got a lot better.

golden retriever, best dog i've ever had!!! he was a rescue dog, man did i get lucky finding him---hopefully he feels the same, lots of bro love, lol.

I was just curious cause I've always wanted a husky. Such a beautiful breed. I have had cocker spaniels my whole life.

My wife's fam is full of huge golden retrievers, great dogs!

Labs in general are amazing dogs. The dog we got my husky was a chocolate. He was such a great dog. I bawled my eyes out when the ex had him put down.. Brain tumor..

Pete if you're just in it for a big cute and fluffy dog, or if you've got a family (huskys are a bit much for lil ones) look into German shepherds. My girl has one. He's so unbelievably well behaved, calm and gentle.

Or do what I did and get a Husky-Shepherd cross :)
Love our dog, even as a puppy she was great.

Helps my wife is a vet tech and knows how to handle and train her

Screw all those hairy dogs. They leave a path of hair balls everywhere...

I'm not a runner AT ALL, so I got a basset hound, he can only run about 200 ft at a time....just like me! It's great!

Thanks man, it's not just having a big dog, I've just always liked the look of the husky. Labs are amazing dogs, three of my really good friends have labs. One has a pair of black labs, the other has a chocolate and my best friend has a white lab. I think it's supposed to be a yellow but it's pure white, very cool looking. Talking about German shepherds, I've seen white ones, those look badass as well!

Here's my pup (well not a pup anymore but not fully grown) Luna

My girls mom has a white. He's smart like a Sheppard and pretty like a husky. (Huskys are too smart IMO... Plenty of stories).

Meet Spawn. He is as goofy as the look on his face. Pretty sure he had wolf in him, as I mentioned he was 85lbs.

Took us 3 weeks to feel out his personality to name him. She thought Satan was too strong. Lol boy was she wrong. One of my best memories of my chocolate was when we finally got spawn to stop arguing (howling and husky talking) Moses (chocolate) decided he was going to start barking. Well, we put the bark collar on him. He figured it out quick. So did spawn. He would lay his vocal cords across the collar on Moses and bark till moe couldn't stand up he was getting zapped so frequently.

Speaking of my daughter. She left last night for a rugby trip with the her high school. Going to a big tournament in Washington D.C. They have such a great itinerary laid out for sight seeing and lots of rugby. Kinda jelly though as Friday she goes to see Caps vs Blackhawks and Sunday Jays vs Orioles @ Camden Yards.

Damn that sounds like one hell of a trip! Why didn't you go?

Rugby coaches only. And I know fantastic trip. And $500 for bus, hotel for 4 nights, all atractions/games, etc. Windsuits and hoodie. She just has to buy lunch and dinner (although even at dinner they all get a 10 buck credit towards their meal).

Ya it doesnt get any better than that.

Would have been nice thought if Columbus would have lost last night. So the Caps/Hawks game would have meant something. But hell she'll still see a great game.

Sounds like it'll be a fun trip. Hope your daughters rugby team does well also.

Thanks Thomas, they should do ok. She is the captain of the team this year (and only a grade 11 at that).

Right, we have been talking about everything but the reason she is going:)

lol.. That's cause we love hockey Pete.

Speaking of which, I was so friggin' happy when the Leafs lost all hopes of making the playoffs the other night!

Great convo in here, glad to hear the injury is getting better.

looks like she will make a great running partner!!!

looks like she will make a great running partner!!!

Extremely skittish. Freaked out by cars and wont run any direction but back home after a horn.

She was a rescue and we're not sure what the hell she went through as a pup but nothing good. Took her a month to get used to me, she would run in her cage whenever men approached her.

She gets lots of love these days though, no longer afraid of men. Cars we're working on

give her time and love....she will be CHASING cars in no time!!!!!

how is she on rides? How about treats to get into and out of the car?

Surprisingly she loves car rides, just not any cars on the street as we walk.

Some days i just drive us as far as the park

gotcha. Dude I really wouldn't sweat it. Lots of dogs have weird shît they are scared of. My basset is afraid of EVERYTHING!!! We have owned him since he was 4 weeks, so he's never been abused, always loved, yet if you say boo he cowers... It's actually kinda funny
