Damn, I didn't do too good. I gotta stop hyping these hard hitters that haven't shown me anything else yet. Now I have to hear sh*t from Mullet. Swick looked kind of lethargic, as well as Tavares.

Tell me you're watching P vs J's? Angle is a nutcase. This season looks really good.

Yeah, Swick and Tavares = I think Omigawa is just good at neutralizing opponents, though.

McFedries, WTF? I'll just give up and collapse into a ball after one decent but not devastating punch.

Pellegrino took a wicked kick. Crane was dumb to try for a guillotine rather than pummel him.

You've done pretty decent in the past from what I remember. Sometimes you disappear for awhile and miss some events. Supposedly their is a prize for this season of contests, so you better stick with it.

Mouth, any word on the prize? Incentive is always nice.

I'll announce it closer to the end. I wanna see how many people quit when they feel like they can't come back and win.

Yeah, I don't think I ever got repped by more than 2 people for any of my contest wins. Do you really give a fvck though? I guess so. Sorry, I'll send some rep your way.

Seriously I won for UFC 79 and got 2, its not a big deal

Agreed, he was not big enough for 205, 185 hopefully is a better fit. He is relatviely athletic, so I am hoping that helps him against a tree stump like martin

Let's get some Nog support and analysis of the title fight going. I'm getting fired up for this one.

I gotta believe in Minotauro. It will really kill the HW division if Sylvia wins. He'll have a hard time taking Tim down, though. A shot probably won't work and clinching will get you pushed up against the fence a la Vera. I wonder if Nog can outstrike Big Tim?

I always loved Nog's entrance's in Pride, mainly because of "No Way Out", but he just had such a great vibe walking down to the ring, ready to go to war. Almost as good as Fedya's entrance.

Even years before Nog came to the UFC, I always said Sylvia is a bad fight for him stylistically. Now that the fight gets closer I think Nog will find a way to win. That's my heart talking though.

If you haven't already, you should pick up Sam Sheridan's A Fighter's Heart. It's a great book, and he was actually with Nog in the dressing room and ramp before his final fight with Fedor. I think you'd appreciate it. I'm 1/2 way through and am loving it. It's the type of book I'd finish in 2 days if I didn't have so much reading/correcting for work.

Sounds right up my alley. I'll definitely go pick that up. Haven't read a book in about a decade and was going to pick a few up so this is perfect.

I realize picking vs. Martin might be a terrible idea, but I'm just not impressed. His KO of Rivera was nice, although I don't think it would happen again. What else has he done to warrant so much praise? He's lost to every semi-high level fighter he's fought. I don't think he is even close to elite (sorry to the denizens of Martin's banana hammock).

Eastman's biggest issue seems to be his fear to pull the trigger. He gets crazy nervous. If he's all rigid, Martin might blast him, but I think Eastman will have the gas tank to get deeper into the fight with Martin and then blast his weak chin.

Ever heard of Ivan "The Fruit Bat" Salaverry? Just kidding, I hyped the sh*t out of Martin and McFedries. They both hit hard as hell, but thats about it.

Very true about Eastman being tentative as hell. Tough fight to pick. I still have to pick Martin, once I get on someone's jock I retardedly stay there for a min of 5 fights.

"To thine own self be true." At least you know who you are :D

Eastman's chin isn't exactly spectacular either. I think Martin will KO him.

I definitely agree, but it's not like he got knocked out by anyone. He got knocked out by the Michael Jordan of BJJ.

I do wonder about Eastman's chin, but the Lutter thing might have been a fluke, and getting KO'd by Rampage is nothing to be ashamed of. Rampage has ridiculous power (as measured by some show I saw randomly on TV while eating BBQ at a restaurant).

:icon_lol:

Yeah, Page has some serious power. I saw a video clip of the show I assume you're talking about where Page says "I put my ass into it". The Lutter KO may have just clipped him in the right spot. Are those his only 2 KO losses?

I was trying to post a vid of his fight with Sefo in K-1. Sefo KO's him, and their are plenty of after fight activities. Vitor TKO'd him with that knee that caused a vajayjay to surface.

Actually was pnemonia I believe. =P

Yundt is managed by Chas Bowling and fights out of Indiana for Team Wolfpack. Solid Striking with MEAN GnP. That being said... Almeida will sub him from the bottom I believe.

I love how everyone is picking Lesnar to win. Muhaha...muhahaha...Muhaha...

Never bet against my boy Mir when he is going up against a wrestler with little to no BJJ experience.

I think I'm going to win big after looking at some of the picks!

I would love to pick against Lesnar, but your boy Mir is a scrub.

I'm not saying MIR can't win, I just hope he doesn't. I'm excited to see Brock's UFC debut and I'm hoping he makes an impact, but I think it could go either way.

I didn't see the Countdown show, but I heard Lesnar's camp was sort of a joke. Can anyone confirm this? I also heard Nog's right eye is about done, like he can barely open it. Randy picked Tim by KO. Strange.

There have been rumors about Nog having eye problems for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised considering the abuse he's taken. In Sam Sheridan's book, he talks about how Nog was practically bed-ridden with pain (back/neck?) when he was offered the Sapp fight, and that he was coerced into taking it. There are also rumors that he abuses painkillers (not in the book).

Nog's a tough dude, but I think his career is nearly over.

BTW, I remember seeing some tape of Lesnar training, and he seemed to be taking it way too easy, yet at the same time he managed to crank the piss out of his training partners limbs when simply drilling subs.

I want Mir to beat him, I just don't think he will.

Yeah, and T.Brady and Peyton Manning make picking apart top five Ds at the line of scrimmage look easy, Kobe Bryant makes scoring 82 points in a game look easy, and so on. I think exceptional athletes just give the impression that unfathomably difficult tasks are easy.

I guess one could say that Fedor looks like he's training his balls off, but I don't think that Fedor is a better 'athlete' than Lesnar, just obviously a much better fighter. The dude's 270 (?) and light as hell on his feet.
