Was this the HS Chest Press? I've seen a guy do them like that except he was turned kind of sideways. Looked like an easy way to get injured...
On the lat pull downs: I'm able to really focus entirely on the lats when I do these. I'll hang just a few seconds prior to pulling down so I can really engage the lats and then I squeeze my shoulder blades together as I get to the chest.

My left is definitely stronger than my right. 150 would be no problem with my left. I struggled to get 140 6 times with my right. Gotta work on that...
