Well, it being heavy back day I was hoping for 140-145 on the rows since the last couple heavy back days I hit 135 on them. Plus, no shrugs or lat pull downs today so disappointed there but I'm not complaining. If I don't let it heal up I will be down a lot longer. I'm just not one to totally stop though, I'll lift until I have that inner feeling that says stop and that has worked well for me. If I took the day completely off then I would tighten up and it would be worse. One of those situations where I know how my body responds best.Well that would be heavy for this guy... lol Hope you feel better brother.
HS sled Hack Squat. I use the hack squat to replace the conventional barbell squat. Since the weight isn't on my shoulders compressing my spine then these work out great for me.Damn are those hack squats on a sled or the rocker arm machine? Either way BEAST MODE!!!!!
Have you tried squatting this way? Scroll down some:HS sled Hack Squat. I use the hack squat to replace the conventional barbell squat. Since the weight isn't on my shoulders compressing my spine then these work out great for me. If I do conventional barbell squats the compression gets to be too much around 250lbs. And at 250lbs I just don't really feel it in my legs. Entire neck is fused and lower back is fused. Docs don't want me lifting heavy but ole well... I think I've got a few more years I can lift like this.
Lol! I think I'd have a hard time adding enough plates. Plus, what do you do with your hands... The hack squat sled gives me back support. Really works the quads. I can adjust where I plant my feet to feel the outer part of the quad, the teardrop, etc.Have you tried squatting this way? Scroll down some: Invalid Link Removed
Nice I have not used the HS Hack Squat not been lucky enough to use any of the leg stuff in a very long time. Our gyms only seem to get the upper body stuff and none of the stuff i want like the horizontal chest press. That one and the Wide Chest Press are my favorites!!!!HS sled Hack Squat. Ok, as I had mentioned the other day I probably would fore go chest day today. Trying to give my right lat time to heal up. And that's what I did today. Woke up, lat is feeling good so decided to give it more rest.
Now, it's not a total rest day as I went ahead and did 30 minutes of cardio, some ab work, and
Front Squats
135 x 10 x 5 sets
185 x 10 x 5 sets
40 second rest between sets and each set performed with fast tempo.
Weight was down another pound to 194. Cals were at 3477 yesterday. So strange, the more I increase my cals the more weight loss I see. But it only happens at the 3000-3500 calorie range. 2500-2900 I gain a little. At 3000 my body turns into an inferno and stays warm. My wife loves that part!
Haven't started the 3-MHD. Still trying to decide if I will. Just doesn't seem like I "need" to add it in right now as I'm still making gains both in strength and in size. Will see how the next week goes...
Yeah, felt them all day too! Felt good though...lolNice superset.. bet they were on fire!
Long day at work today so instead of going home for lunch like normal I went with the guys to Firehouse Subs. Not sure how anyone gets full on a sub there. It was good and all but it was like an appetizer for me. I was starving when we left. Had to drink my protein shake and eat a quest bar on the way back to work. Won't make that mistake again...
Yep, I need half a pound to a pound of meat on my sub to fill me up. I guess you get maybe 4oz now...Most places now a days suck when it comes to subs just horse sh!t!!!! I miss the old days of going to a pizzeria and getting a real sub with a ton of meat!
Welcome aboard man. How's the weather?Back Day, My Favorite.. Looks good in here.. Hope that back is okay now, subbed...

This is more your speed to feed your gains!...
Awesome work as always!!
Oh Yum!!! Is it wrong to be in love with Turff!
I thought everyone loved me...Nah, bro you're good to go
Yeah, legs are sore right now. Especially the teardrop on the quads.20-25 reps...OUCH!!!! Crazy strong with that many reps!!
Curious, do you have any knee issues with extensions? I currently don't, but hear from several here that they do.
