Those sessions read like novels! Inspiring and impressive as hell!

That's that old man strenght

As you get older it takes longer for the pain receptors to register! Just gotta get the heavy sets done before your brain realizes you lifted more than you should...lol

Quick arm workout tonight. Get it in while I can...

The cable has significant drag, kind of rusted since its out in the weather. The 90 felt like 120 does at the gym...

50 x 8
50 x 7
50 x 5

I was only taking 30 second break between sets. Fatigued out quick...lol couldn't even do 1 after that last set
Arms officially fried...lol

Great looking session.

Can some wd40 or white grease help the cable?

Yeah, I usually use LPS but I must be out. Can wasn't where I usually keep it. Hadn't even thought of white grease...thanks!

Crushing the weight in here as usual!

Your skull crushers are always so crazy strong!! You have officially crushed it all!

Thanks Kat. Feel like I'd been in a slump for several weeks. Work and everything screws with my laid out plans and I find I just have to fit my workouts in. Just trying to keep up with the Beastlings around here!

Nope! You are still slaying the iron Brian! Work and weather changes - kill muscle! Lol

Had a long weekend with work. Left Thursday then spent Friday and half Saturday in the mountains in a cabin for work, then Saturday evening with my son from first marriage who I hadn't seen in 20 years and then yesterday driving home. Tired as heck but hope to get a workout in this evening.

Hope you had a great visit!

....all caught up, had some fantastic weather in MB... great time! Carrabba's is awesome..

MMMMMMMM Love me some Carrabba's!!!!

Sounds like the reconnection with son went well.

Carrabba's is great! I always eat to much. Usually get the Chicken trio, usually it isn't even on the menu...lol

Reconnection went great! It's amazing how much he paid attention to the morals and values I tried to teach him. He had a rough road after I was out of the picture but looks like he persevered. Has nothing to do with anyone in his moms family. Has 2 beautiful kids and a loving wife, and a great job that he loves doing. I am blessed to have had such an influence. Proud of all my kids I've raised!

That's awesome! My son well step son kind of showed me his heart the other day unintentionally. His Dad got in an accident and when his mother told him the thought it was me and started tripping. Then when she said no Scott, he was relieved that it wasn't me. You could hear it in his voice. Made me feel bad for his real dad but later JoAnn asked him about it and he said I am his real Dad. I raised him and showed him how to be a man. I will always be his first thought when Dad is mentioned. Was pretty awesome!

The chicken Trio and I ask for the Tommy Thompson appetizer which is also off menu.

Quick chest workout last night. Had to fight the mosquitos though... Will pick up bug spray today...

Incline barbell

185 x 10
205 x 10
225 x 6
205 x 10
185 x 10
135 x 20

And that was it. Just a quick session. Mosquitos just got too bad.

You want have them on the beach. I'm about 2 miles inland and there is still lots of swampy areas from the flooding.

Skeeters, hate them. Nice pressing volume Brian.

Quick but effective none the less. You must have been blown up already after the first set of 20! Nice pressing!

It wasn't bad. That last set of 20 after fatiguing was just what I needed. The other sets just kinda felt "going through the motions"...

Arms were on tap tonight. Sprayed down with some bug spray first...

Ez bar curl
75 x 20 narrow
75 x 20 wide
85 x 10 narrow
85 x 10 wide
95 x 10 narrow
95 x 10 wide
105 x 10 narrow
105 x 10 wide

Skull crushers
75 x 20 narrow
75 x 20 wide
85 x 15 narrow
85 x 15 wide
95 x 10 narrow
95 x 10 wide
105 x 10 narrow
105 x 10 wide

Dang that was a lot of reps. Arms are feeling this even though I didn't go to 115 or 125...

That's strong right there! Nice work. Hey, in Ohio we have no mosquitos this time of year, and for the next 7 months! Come on up! I'll supply the gym!

If you drink the bug spray it's more effective.

I imagine your arms ballooned up from that! I wish I could do skulls like that. My elbows would let me know all about it.

Nice skullcrushers! I've been doing them on the decline bench the past 2 months and it seems to put much less stress on my elbows .... and keeps more constant tension on the triceps . .... works for me. Old guy like me has to do whatever he can to protect those elbows ;)

Skulls are one of my favorite exercises to do. One trick to doing these is to keep your delta locked down and in. I use to have elbow issues doing these but once I figured out that little trick I was able to go heavier and I saw an increase in size.

Today's workout was back.

One arm barbell rows each arm of course
45 x 10
70 x 10
95 x 10
110 x 10
120 x 10
130 x 10

Wide grip pull downs
70 x 10
90 x 10
110 x 10
140 x 10
180 x 10

Meadow rows each arm
45 x 10
70 x 10
95 x 10
110 x 10
120 x 10

I was done. Not only out of time but fatigue had really set in

I envy you having equipment at home. I could use an anger/frustration workout right about now.

Strong one-arms, man. They are an awkward movement for some.

You know, I've never been able to workout when I'm frustrated and angry. My mind just can't get into it. I have to have alone time and meditate(I guess) to get over it.
Hope the anger goes away quickly, never good to be angry especially at night.

Says the man who did a 180 or 190 meadow row...lol
I think Meadows are more awkward than one arms...

Strong lifting as usual! Angry workouts work for me! I hate being angry at night! Messes with the sleep!

I am with you... I lose focus and then tweak something.

Mind you, I can knock the sh1t out of my heavy bag when p1ssed off.

Was thinking that myself lol

Anger served me well and earned a few PR's today. Once in the gym the switch just comes on for me, focus is not an issue when angry. Knowing when to stop or slow down can be a task though!

I never want to see you angry! Hulk! Slaying iron when we're angry is so much better than taking it out on those around us.

Amen to that! I actually get very internally focused, not unpleasant, just extremely focused and push until I am spent. Controlled and positive aggression in the right activity is a perfect stress reliever. When it is said and done I can typically go home or wherever the source of my anger was and be very calm and reasonable. If I was wrong I can apologize and discuss and if I was in the right I have the ability to express my side calmly, and logically without the extra aggression.

Now going out and hitting the heavy bag or something, yeah that is a bit different. I would never go spar when angry.
