what happened? I bought something a couple weeks ago and it took 3 times as long as they said to get here.. but it was FED EX's fault cause I was tracking it every day and it just sat at the Fed Ex place waiting to be shipped.

Ok, a RCA tv is not the same quality as a sony, that DOES NOT however mean it wont last as long, their are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule.

not wanting to go back to my rant (but willing to) at least for large engined rear wheel drive cars, america has consistently done it better than anyone for the $. We used to suck at small 4 cylinder and econo cars, but we are getting better there now. I can buy 2 fully equpped dodge chargers (or chryser 300s) for the cost of one E class benz sedan, and the dodges would have more interior room, and more horsepower.

But are you paying for quality or are you paying for long lasting, with more feature and a better picture?

Quality is subjective. If the customer determines that quality is those characteristics that those are criteria for him to determine that as quality and therefore pay for that. If the customer determines that he will use his TV for 30 mins a day, one channel, and doesn't care if it is 1080, 780, or whatever than those are not criteria that determine quality of product for him.

The product defect rate for both grades of TV may be equal. So there is no issue of manufacturing quality or quality of product as produced, designed and as costed per performance. You see what I am getting at.

Now a premium product costs a premium and therefor there is cost associated with that. But to compare a $500 TV to a $1000 TV and determine that one is a more quality TV based on cost is not an accurate assessment. You need to consider customer performance expectations and defect rate as a means to qualify quality of each individual product respectively.

sony makes some nice pieces, but even among their own line they have a lot of pieces of caca. And they are as guilty of "trading on their name" as many others, and for some items like their laptops there is nothing that justifies the price premium

yeah I got an infraction a couple days ago for a video I posted. Do the rules say what is and isnt appropriate? cause your avi didnt have any nudity or anything.
 
Cause I read all the rules and it just talks about infractions not how to tell if a pic is apprpriate or not.
