All I can say is no matter what I am doing whether cutting or bulking or recomping I give diet and training the same priority. Both must be a spot on as I can get it. If I slack on either one the other will suffer.
Then you have found what works for you. This sport is not black and white. We debate to push ourselves and learn more. With that comes better understanding and hopefully better results. The wisest thing anyone can ever say is "maybe I'm wrong". I've said it many times. Fitness and nutrition for the most part are in its infancy when it comes to scientific research.
