If you could only do 1 more cycle, and you wanted to really make it count, would you go on cycle while bulking and then cut naturally? Or would you bulk naturally then use the steroids while cutting?

I am wondering when gear is better put to use. I am leaning towards bulking because a cut with no muscle loss can be achieved through strict nutrition/training....

Well you can achieve either one with proper diet and training, but it can only take you so far. I'm with you though, better used in a bulk imo.

I would go with bulk all the way. But then again I've never cut before. And I don't plan to anytime soon. On the other hand I would hate to have to cut and I'm sure I would need all the help I could get. Just a thought. BTW, it seems to me drugs used mostly for bulking are less expensive.

I would definately say bulk. Diet plays a huge role in both cutting and bulking, but genetics play such a huge role in muscle size I would have to use my last cycle to grow as much as possible.

I said cut simply because if I ever was to do a contest, in order to get down to sub-5% bodyfat without losing the majority of your muscle, anabolics are a must.

You are missing my point G! What I am trying to explain is that the more lbm that you have, the eaier cutting will be for you. 10 lbs of lean tissue will burn more fat in a year than 3 month of you doing cardio I'll bet. And the great thing about the extra 10 lbs...you will continue to burn more the next year and the next...etc...

IMHO, it really depends on what you are cutting to? If you just wanna cut to 14% body fat, then the gear would be better used for bulking as it is not that hard to cut down to 14% for most people. However, if you want to get down to 5%, it would be wiser to use the gear for cutting. It impossible to get really low bodyfat and maintain decent muscle without using something. I think it largely depends on the goals of the individual...

bulk. it's not natural to gain 20-30 lbs of lbm in 2-3 months. cutting down to <10% is achievable naturally with the proper nutritional plan

I would cut the length of your cycle in half. Do an all out bulk for the first half. Then do a REAL good PCT wait 3 months trying to retain as much weight as possible then use the other half of your AAS for your cut.

There you go best of both worlds.

You are unlikely to get too many people nominating cutting because there is probably only a handful of people on this forum who have ever cut down to single figures. Anybody who has cut down to <10% will most likely realise how frustrating it is losing strength and mass on a long cut (how bad is it lifting 5 times a week and just getting weaker?). Running a cycle while cutting allows you to retain gains and there is nothing like making steady gains while getting ripped, so I would definately nominate cutting.

Both! :head:

Actually, if I had to chose, I would go w/ cut as well. I have cut to ~ 5-6% bodyfat w/ the same nutrition plan 4 times... 2 times on, 2 times off..

Believe me, the results were much, much better while on..

I'd have to go with bulk! I have a very hard time building mass. (I have a natural disposition of being lean and vascular.) Of course, the solution would probably be to eat a lot more than I am. I have a problem getting all of the calories I need per day without eating too much fat or sugar. I just think that cutting is a lot easier to do than bulking. :food: :frustrate

ya bulking for sure, considering even on a bulk i hve trouble getting fat and i cant gain 20lbs in 4 weeks any other way and ill always be able to come back to that bench mark due to the beauty of muscle memory.

i think cutting naturally is the way and i'm an easygainer. i just notice after a good bulk im ready for the change of pace and with good diet and cardio cleaning up works well naturally. even though being hard from an AAS cutter sure is nice

bulking is a lot harder to do natural then cutting. cutting is fairly simple for an ecto like myself so it depends on your body type genetics etc.

Well I work twelve hour shifts at work, have a wife, and a child. I coach my sons baseball, and football team. I work out 4-5 days a week. When I competed It would have been difficult not to loose muscle when I was cutting with out a little help. Alot of times I could not eat clean, but to not eat at all would have been muscle suicide.

Cutting for me, i'm an easy gainer and steroids are a godsend for me when it comes to dieting, i put on a couple lbs of mass and drop some serious fat while maintaining strength and size.

I'd like to update my view on this and say that i'd use them for cutting only after i'm down to 10-11% bf naturally, i'd use it to get down to the single digits. I've actually pushed my cutter back a couple times now because i'm making such good progress naturally that i don't need steroids yet.
