To Lower shbg, good or bad

IS it good to lower my shbg?
my shbg from my last blood test was 47nmol which was at the top of the range or at least pretty high
This gives me very little free T ( i am not on trt or any drugs)

So is it beneficial for me to lower shbg to give me more Free T, is lower shbg a good thing i always thought so?
If so how can this be achieved naturally can supplements help such as nettle root and Tongkat ali, and do/does the lowering of shbg work continously whilst using an effective supplement?

I read somewhere by lowering shbg with supplements will only work if at all, for a short amount of time and then the body will reduce total T and maybe even free T in response (making the process a waste of time) ?

Does lowering shbg and raising Free T increase estrogen as there is less shbg for it to bind to, or actually reduces estrogen as there is less shbg for E to bind to?

Is my shbg to high and should it be lower?
If it should be lower i want to achieve this through all natural means with nutrition and natural supplements, and free up some Free T to feel/have some beneficial effects of T.
I would like optimal or shbg levels as low as i can naturally without drugs.

Thanks for any help and suggestions men.

You need to look at what factors could be driving it up.
1. Toxicity
2. meds
3. malnutrition
4. Hormomal imbalnaces.

In cases I have worked with with No hrt involved they work in lock step.

Forgot to say,
Does lower levels of T increase shbg or does higher levels of T increase shbg?

I've read that higher androgens (includes T) is supposed to lower SHBG but the effect for T doesn't seem to be that strong. Other factors seem to be more important (high E for example raises SHBG).

You seem to be asking the same question over and over again..

You can only trick body for so long before it will rebalance it self back to homeostasis.

If not supplemented with hormones then where ever T goes SHBG follows and vice versa.
Hitest and I both stated factors which will cause this to happen.

Your trying to handle symptoms not cause.

Have asked the same qs again as i have had no definitive straight answers to them-

would it be beneficial for me personally to have higher or lower shbg it is at 47nmol so its pretty high, is this good or bad should it be lower (i thought the lower the better to give more benefits of T), is the lower the better without it being to low?

supplements will only reduce shbg for so long before the body realises and reduces total T, making it a pointless excercise?

does lowering shbg and increasing free T increase or reduce estrogen?

regarding levels of T, does shbg increase or decrease the higher or lower the T levels?

Im Just trying to get straight forward answers based on my higher levels of shbg, and if it is a good worthwhile thing for me to try and lower my shbg naturally then i want to try if it means benefit to me

Thanks.

Each case is different it depends on probably pathology of.the issue as well.as the person symptom. To.be able.to.give any answer would depends on.having the proper data and case history.

Give it a try body.will.compensate over time. Shbg rises for a reason need to rule out.those variables..

So would it be beneficial for me personally to have lower shbg?
will lower shbg levels increase or reduce estrogen?
Is it worth a try to lower it with nettle root do you mean?, and should it be cycled or are supplements to lower shbg a waste of time?

Thanks M

When I lowered my SHBG with DANAZOL the results were not what I had hoped for.

Yes my SHBG went from 80 to 30. (too much of a good thing????)
My TT dropped a lot, I assume because much more of my TT stayed FT, and my biological set point down regulated my LH.
My new extra FT aromatized into E2, and my E2 jumped to over 80. (first time in 58 years I have no morning wood)

I agree that it seems logical, that lowering your SHBG should increase your FT and DHT. If only it worked that easily.

Stinging Nettles Root Extract will bind to some of your SHBG (not lower it) and allow more TT to remain FT.
Only by having BEFORE and AFTER blood tests will you see what your body does with the FT increase.

Hope you have better results when lowering SHBG, than I did.
Please keep us informed if you test this.

PS. If you look anything like your avatar, don't change a thing.
PPS. You are in the UK... isn't oral AAS less illegal there?.... If I had easier access to it, I
would consider low dose Anavar, Winstrol, or Proviron.

These are not long term solutions ...
