Time to MonteGROW like a Finaflex Freak!

Today is supposed to be a rest day but naaah. Not wasting the next few weeks. Also since I started too light on GVT I think I'll be just fine pushing the rest day back one day. Woke up looking pretty full this morning after an extra meal with about 60 extra carbs on top of my normal totals right now.

For sure. I will definitely be getting the right rest in during this six weeks. Even with the lighter then prescribed weights I used I still had some slight DOMS.
 
Today's session was back width and shoulders.

Substituted seated barbell press for dumbbells since there were no free barbells in the whole fking gym. Raining hard here the last few days so I'm guessing the outside laborers are accounting for this crowd.

Super Setted the 10x10 and skipped accessory lifts since I was running short on time before work.

So you are saying 2 on 1 off (as in the plan) is a better approach?

I'm certain once I hit the right weights that will have to be the approach. Possibly two on one off, two on two off after legs.

yep
maybe you could push 3/1 if on the right "assistance", but I don't know if i'd even push that
depends on what kind of training you were doing prior, what kind of conditioned shape you are in, how long you are going to run it
 
Oh oh. One more thing to note. It's been about a week and a half since my last Max Pump dose and I gotta say, muscle fullness throughout the day it's waaaaay down.
 
Looking big and lean! Since you are already so efficient at very high volume work you may find you have to go to 65-70% to get to the point of failure on some of your stuff.

I am pretty stoked to hook up with you guys too!
 
Strongman is a lot of fun. I don't wanna train for the events right now because it's not a big thing for me & it ultimately is a very easy sport to get injured. But when my army buddy is in town if we have a wkend we always train strongman for a few hours together for giggles.

First time I ever did farmers walks, I tweaked my knee. Didn't do anything crazy, just hard to walk with good form w/ heavy weight. I got up to 185/arm for over 50yds when it happened. Could have probably did 225, but injury & done for the day - so my advice is be careful lol But if you can squat, deadlift, & overhead press with decent form, and you don't have the grip of a 2yr old girl, anybody can do strongman.
 
Rough night last night. Went in at 230 didn't get off until 4am. Finally got home and in bed and sleep by five.

Lucky for me though my wife and kids get up at 7 to leave for the day......fell asleep for about six twenty minute power naps and finally got up a little while ago.

Off training today but since I have a splitting headache and no energy from lack of sleep that's a good thing lol.

I found a TON of chicken fajita meat on sale at HEB yesterday. Got about fifteen two lb packages at one dollar a lb. Can't beat it!

So tonight I had 10oz of teriyaki chicken breast with some jasmine rice (first time I've had jasmine in over a month. Been nothing but brown rice lately) Also had some FRESH green beans (still like canned better). Was an awesome meal.

GVT arm day.

Swapped dips out for seated French Press as per some critique from my dude Kleen. Trying to get those triceps to hang some! Weights were spot on today. Elbows hurt a tad from the French Press but nothing major.

Pump was stupid today and I incorporated some deep stretching between sets to flood the muscles with blood.
