Yeah it doesn't get played anymore, it's been banned. Seems to me there's got to be some weird subliminal shi7 going on. Why the 5uck else would kids want to watch it? Kids today out 405 on the bar and I kid you both say down about 4-5 inches for 5 reps. And I think my "parallel" depth is bad. LOL.

Funny you mention this, i was doing a PR attempt at 315 the other day (got it for 3 reps btw :D) and when i was done i had a kid come up to me telling me my form was all wrong and going that low with too much weight will kill your knees. OH i wanted to smack this kid upside the face.

Kids literally do shallower squats than my sister who is just learning to squat... I can squat up close 400 now parallel and probably do 700 to the height they were. They are both bigger than me both physically and in weight. They by all rights should outlift me, I started as a skinny little ****.
 
ATG ftw - takes all the guesswork out of it
parallel certainly valid option (if done properly), but personally I do those very far & few between
 
I am on a quest to never squat above comp depth again... currently not squating due to an injury but it's temp... I do enjoy a good ATG squat but my knees/hips get cranky doing them too often/too heavy, just like anything else. Moderation is key.
 
Kids literally do shallower squats than my sister who is just learning to squat... I can squat up close 400 now parallel and probably do 700 to the height they were. They are both bigger than me both physically and in weight. They by all rights should outlift me, I started as a skinny little ****.

In my reg routine I'm getting up around 360 a$$ below knees for 2-3 reps, if I did 1/2 or 3/4 reps I could prob put 500 on it easy. lol. bugs the crap out of me. Just like I had someone brag they were repping shoulder shrugs with 120lb DBs the other day. I showed him the right way to do them and he couldn't hit 5 reps with 80s. Bastardization of form accomplishes nothing.

whats up with your sister ;) just kiddin man. Yeah people are so full of their egos they dont want to drop the weight. if i feel the need to drop how much weight i need to push to get better form i will. its not the weight, its how youre pushing it. Form > weight in my opinion

Haha shes actually trying to get into lift and not just running and yoga and all the other stuff. She has me showing her good form for squats, bench, deads, OHP etc. Doing stronglifts now I think.

Yep. Ego it is. I tell people all the time, I am stronger than you because I lift less weight, the right way. It's okay to cheat, but only at the right times, which IS NOT all the time every rep. It's on certain exercises, at the end of sets or workouts. I agree with you 100%

I break 90 with a wide stance and that gets it done as far as I can stretch actualy with wide stance.

Yesterday was a weak point training day. Did ten sets of pullups to failure. Five sets of mountain climber pullups on the left side to failure as well. Hex press for chest five sets. Hammer strength inner chest press as well five sets. Reverse grip bench four sets. Today its a rest day and back will be tomorrow.

Inner chest press is just hammer strength with a neutral grip. I turn my body a bit sideways in the seat so I am pressing across my body and it gives the inner pecs a great pump.

Hex press is done by using a flat bench and dumbells. You hold the dumbells longways against each other and keep them touching the entire time. Slow negatives to the bottom of the rib cage and squeeeeeeeeze on the contraction.
 
How lean are you staying monte? Im curious.

I'm about where I started at maybe a bit more bf. Haven't measured in a while but I would guess around 13%. Started between 11-12. Pants are a little bit tighter but not much. I didn't expect to stay at that bf but so far I'm happy. A slight bit of cardio and a diet tweak and I'd be right back there though.

I find that the hex press is a bit more effective if you squeeze the DBs together through the whole motion, almost like the contraction you would get at the peak of a flye. Hope that helps.
