Have you found the holy grail of Donut Shops in CA yet?

In Canada? Grandad's in Hamilton is the best I've tried. There are a few downtown TO that are gourmet style. My sister bought me some from Glory Hole on my bday - looked stellar but were just OK, not Mom/Pop quality lol. Plus they were like $3 a donut lol

I don't know. I've been on a down slope for sheer volume lately (for me at least...normal people still think my meals are ridiculous ha).
 
OK.... Need a little input from my AM friends. So as u know I've put on a little over 30 lbs and about 4% bf since January.

I am running a 6 week weight loss challenge for my personal training business starting Monday and I plan to participate as well.

Honestly 80% of my days for the past month and a half have basically Ben small cheat days with a few large ones.

For w.e reason though I am contemplating a 24hr cheat day starting tonight,...... Should I do it? Put yourself in my shoes please..... And if u say go for it... What do u wanna see?

I always go for a massive bender right before I start a diet. Helps me mentally by eating til in bordering on sick ha. Enjoy all the foods I tend to cut out when I get really strict and also clean out the junk in the closets.

Id go for some foods that you plan to skip when your diet gets serious. Maybe some stuff that just 99% crap (but delicious). I'm thinking stuff like junky chocolate/candy bars, super fatty fried foods, etc.

Make something ridiculous maybe like fried bacon wrapped Oreos or something ha.
 
What's on the line for the challenge? Money? A huge binge day could actually help you - think of how much heavier you'll be just due to bloat when you first weigh in! You'll probably be down 7-8 lbs within a few days from bloat alone! Seriously though, unless there is a lot at steak, do it if you want - might as well enjoy yourself one last time.

On a side you, have you guys watched Fit to Fat to Fit on A&E? Trainers take 4 months to put on an average of 60-70 lbs of fat (males, females less), so they can get into to mindset of their trainee (very overweight individual). Then, they try to lost the weight with their trainee. It's interesting, but seems crazy/stupid. Still, fun to watch.

I'd say do it to Boone's pt but let's be REAL the last few weeks have been a bender so I say collect your gains and cut. Do not pass the ic aisle. Do not collect 200 cookies.

Ya..,, however I've been having some cheat days along the way.... Yesterday even lol...... What do u say now? In regards of the challenge I own the business I'm running it for my clients but also taking part, I can't win though, just want to see what I can do and help my clients along the way

I would still do it. Dieting is totally a mental game for me and I have two modes: full on and not at all. Regardless of the lead up, I always do a final blowout. Once I'm in the zone, I'm 100% dedicated and can turn down anything without a second thought. It's not necessarily the "healthiest" mentality, but that's just how my brain works so that's how I have to do it.

I don't know if that's the way you work but it's an all or nothing thing for me. That's the same reason I like IF and refeed days. Allows me to go wild without having to worry about ruining a diet/caloric balance for the week

Same here. I am either weighing almonds or eating an entire pizza. No middle ground.

That's me to a tee. Count the m&m's or eat the bag and don't even track it (even if the rest of the refeed day is haha)
 
I would agree with Booneman77 here. I work in a personal training that specialises prodominantly in fat loss. I've found over the past year that the clients I consult on a Friday evening - and advise to have one final blowout at the weekend - come into the plan with more mental hunger and drive to succeed - their results usually reflect this too.
Whether it's a placebo or their just sick of junk for a while - I don't actually know. But this is the general rule I follow before a cut for a fight, or to be vain :-P amd it works for me better than just transitioning from healthy plan to healthy plan.
We know dieting - whether gaining or cutting - is largely a mental game. And would say that having you last biiiiig blow out is mentally satiating, and could definately help you - if you have that kind of mentality :)

if booneman77 & mkretz ever get to the same buffet table I feel sorry for the owner and as The Solution might say the cleaning staff who has to unplug those toilets
 
Imagine the damage is all 4 of us hit a buffet.

There's this thing called "a schedule" where you ask for things like this. Or take a vacation day. Or a sick day.

I don't make the schedule. Since I am new to my job others get priority over me.
I don't get vacation days until 1 year of work when i get Paid time off.
