If you are looking for a kick, then Monsters definitely don't compare to Hyde/Bang. But, Monsters are a nice alternative if you want less caffeine. Some days I get enough caffeine from other sources, that I'll just want a small boost late in the afternoon. LOL, and I'm the kind of person that if I crack open a can of something, chances are I'm drinking the whole thing! So I still get Monster from time to time.

But I will say that Hyde stays fresh very well once opened. Probably because of the lower carbonation, so it doesn't seem flat the next day. I have managed to exercise some self-control in the past and drank a half of a Hyde one day, then finished the rest the next. Still tasted great to me!

If you want something not as stim heavy the C4 Carbonated Energy Drinks at 200mg caffeine are potent. Not to mention Celluco's flavoring is very good on those energy drinks. I would put them right next to Bang anyday.
Power Potion is on the sweeter side, but some people truly enjoy that and find it settles much easier then a very dense carbonated bang.

If you want a white monster replica go winter blast
If you want a dominant pineapple (think refreshing) Cooler then go that. For the price it’s hard to pass $21.60/Case or $1.44/can which beats bang and c4 energy drinks per can .

I've had those white monster drinks before and thought they were pretty damn good. Pineapple Cooler sounds like it would have great potential as an energy drink flavor or just a flavor in general for any type of drink.

I've never had a white monster (due to its low caffeine content) what does it taste like?
 
White Monsters were awesome when they first dropped, haven't had a Monster or any of those in a long time. That being said I ordered the Pineapple and Winter Blast and they are arriving today so I'm pretty excited to give these a try!

Be careful with that assumption. Their isolates are bad. Chocolate was drinkable but the birthday cake was honestly one of the worst proteins I’ve ever had. Generally as a company though their flavoring is great

I agree on the energy. The flavor system for Bang is amazing though. I never understood why everyone thinks the White Monsters are so tasty. They are in the realm of "most of these energy drinks taste like diesel fuel and this one kinda does not" to me.
 
Ordered the winter blast yesterday.

If it truly tastes similar to white monster, I'll be happy.

There are still times I like my purple drank (grape power potion), but more often than not, I dont want the syrup-y taste (which is disappointing, because I like the teacrine in there).

Bang overall has the best flavoring and options, but C4 is delicious. Twisted Limeade = identical flavor to green freeze pops. The blue tastes kind of like a snocone. Haven't tried the other 2 flavors, yet.

With the 200mg caffeine, those are replacing Monsters for me as the low caff option.
 
wish these brands branched out in UK supermarkets literally energy drink wise monster/rockstar/red bull

I want me some bang and Hyde

Definitely have to try that Twisted Lemonade now after that description, really dislike Cellucor but that just sounds ridiculous!

funny you write about monster here.. went shopping yesterday and saw them on sale for 99 cent..
grabbed some non sugar versions. the white one, red one and orange one. there was also a black one left but it didnt "turn me on" xD

The white is my favorite. The orange tastes identical to Sunkist imo.

Not a fan of the purple one though


Also UK doesn’t get ultra black?!

I had to pay Nearly £5 for a can at an American foods shop just try it

Challenge accepted! I have been travelling for work and just now got around to pulling out all of my VL goodies. I only have 31 bottles left now, so my original estimate was a bit high (even taking into account bottles I have emptied recently). Here you go

The Mango Loco is??

I had looked at some of the +Juice ones in the past and they were like the typical 30ish grams of sugar.

I know some of the Java ones had been around 10 cal and that doesnt bother me at all.

No I think the Mango and the Juice ones are full sugar.

I was saying this specific dragon tea one is only 8 cal per can, in response to you saying you didnt mess with the full sugar ones.

Yeah, 8 cals is totally worth it lol.

I hate pretty much all tea flavors though

this + at least 300mg VASO6 would be sexy AF

dont get me wrong, without VASO6 its still a very good product with 100% effective dosages, better than most products ive seen yet but most likely it would be the very best if they would have included VASO6, so its a little bit sad though

Had this at work today, and it was disgusting

I hoped for a 7-up kinda taste


It was more like a nasty mojito tasting drink

And the cab seemed to last forever too which is even worse

Never again glad it was free


I hope they don’t give them out for free at expos

They completely changed the real OG formula years ago and never went back. The original formula used IMO as the “prebiotic fiber”. They dumped that and went with Corn Fiber instead and made other formula alterations. Half the bikini chicks (and boys) on the internet lost their damn minds and spent months ranting about the changes. Lol
Since then Quest has made changes 2 or 3 times to “improve” the taste and texture but theyve never gone back to the IMO as their “fiber” source. Its shame since I dont digest Corn Fiber well at all.

As a side note........The Kirkland/Costco bars are exact knockoffs of the original Quest formula using IMO. No gas. No indigestion. No gut bubbles. And the taste/texture is pretty damn amazing......at $1.50/bar its worth the pick up.

Hyde Winter Blast:

It DOES have a similar taste to the regular (white) Monster Ultra, but it's not identical. I think if I didn't have that expectation from the start, I wouldn't have said "hey, this tastes like the white Monster!"

It's not as much as the cherry cola or grape, but that syrup-y or medicine taste is still very present on the back end.

Its a shame to me because I love the high caffeine and the inclusion of teacrine, but this just isnt anywhere near as refreshing to drink as the C4 or Bang (or even Monster).

I'll probably keep these stashed back for when I really need the stim and focus kick and keep drinking the aforementioned brands on a more regular basis.

*I'll post again with my coworkers' thoughts (3 of them are currently drinking it)

Thats my take away on these drinks. To be honest they kick so hard, that I really can't drink them unless Im going to be doing an hour and a half commute, and be running errands and then working in the same day. For a KICK, seriously, this stuff gets the job done. But I agree, that bang is just so much more refreshing and more fun and pleasing for me to drink. The tea flavors are also good.

Anybody know why the cost of the tea flavors are higher per case? I know there is 24, but why not the usual 12 packs?

As announced back at the Arnold Classic Expo in early March, this month VPX Sports is officially launching its new Bang energy drink Tea Series. It is a family of three tea themed flavors including Lemon Drop Sweet Tea, Georgia Peach Sweet Tea, and Sweet Ice Tea.

VPX Sports has now confirmed a little something else for its new Bang Tea Series that you will need to know if you want to try any of the flavors. For the first run of the series, the three options will actually be packaged in a special 24 can case, instead of the usual 12 can case of one flavor.

Higher cause it’s a new product but there is no word from VPX if they will drop.

Best I saw $51 for 24 cans isn’t too bad, but around 60-70$ for 2 cases from other online vendors and 3 letter store retailers

There isn't too much of a hit energy wise for me (but I'm also incredibly stim tolerant). I like the FEELING from Hyde over all others. But it ranks bottom of the pack as far as FLAVOR goes. And it's not terrible at all; the others are just that much better than it. I don't know what in their flavoring system gives the syrup-y/medicine aftertaste, but thats the only negative I can find in it.
 
Agreed. While I definitely feel Hyde PP more than Bang, the flavoring is nowhere close. I’m having trouble finishing off the grape and cherry cola packs I got during the initial launch. My wife is getting mad at me for using her Bang stash!
