The New Product Release Thread

Low carb does not equal Low Net Carb.
Two totally different things.
When you compare 22g (total carbs) to say 5g (net carbs) Thats a good chunk.

Some people count all carbs, some count net carbs. Did not know you meant "net" when you did not signify it in first statement

Either way
People who rely on bars to get their fiber intake need to take a step back and get some more whole food in their diets lol.

Add some Potato starch to whatever or melt some coconut oil in white rice then let it cool in fridge overnight for some serious fiber gains lol

You can't be serious. You knew exactly what I was talking about. There's literally no bars that have any taste that have truly "no carbs". Jesus you're thick. Just admit when you're wrong.

So...any new products?

*tosses all protein bars in a dumpster, soaks in gasoline, tosses a match, walks away*

Fiber doesn't usually bother me too much but the sugar alcohols do...I used to be able to have like 50g and be fine now anything over like 15 and I'm a bloated gassy mess most of the day

Is anyone at the LA Fit Expo and can fill us in on any new releases????

re read your original statement.

When someone types "Carbohydrates" I consider that total Carbohydrates
If you would of typed "Only the low net carb bars" then I would of understood what you meant low net carb, not total carb.

What low carb bar would I have been referring to? Name literally ONE.

This is me too..I notice this with the OH Yeah Bars especially because they contain 9g of sugar alcohols.
I get mostly all my fiber via greens daily, so I don't eat bars often.
Maybe will eat a protein bar 1-2x a week if that due to work schedule. Mostly Just to avoid digestion problems and if i have to have one in a pinch to help meet macros.

taste is subjective...why don't the larger company's sell variety packs of mixes and bars?

What candy is the Sour Nukes a knock off of?

I thought the same thing. Had no idea it was supposed to be warheads. Makes sense now though when I put it together in my head lol.

no.....just protein bars
Haha! No offense to anyone or any particular company, but I find it very hard to get excited about new releases of protein bars. I just skip right over the posts. Seems as though there should be a separate thread titled "New Protein Bar Release Thread" for those who are so into it.

Completely agree... I never find protein bars that filling or tasty. Never quite understood the fascination and mass appeal of them. Texture most times is strange due to the vitafiber and other IMOs used in it...

B]

That's why I like to make my own protein bars :) texture is always right and no funny
ingredients to give you an upset stomach.

This is still the best bar of all time and its not even close, in my own personal opinion of course...that metamyosin baby!!

I still eat those even with all the new choices on the market. For me, they've been eclipsed taste-wise by a few others, but I still enjoy that flavor quite a bit.

I have never been a fan of sour candy. I do like their Sour Batch flavor though. It is not overly sour.

Ahhh. My taste buds are pretty rough so I need extreme flavours to taste (so very sour, very spicy, etc). Besides, when you get older, you naturally are more inclined to enjoy sour flavours over sweet flavours (>25 years old).

Close up of new grenade bar

FitJoy Bars is in the works of making a variety as well.

VERY GOOD!!! I think this is a no-brainer!!!

although I've never saw a variety pack at a brick and mortar?

I doubt you will get a better price at a brick an mortar unless you get a hell of a discount or catch them on sale near expiration.(especially on the variety)

bars are something I usually just pick up at Walmart or similar place---almost always when I m shopping and get hungry, lol. krogers also has a nice selection and often has them on sale!!!

just for pure taste I like cliff -white chocolate macadamia nut flavored bars-but they can't be very good for you, they taste too damned good!!!

Fit Crunch is the way to go if you shop @ Walmart man. Grab the Peanut butter.

I liked the CCCD better myself. A good price at Wal-Mart, too. Especially for what they are at the stereotypical health food stores.

There used to be a brick and mortar near me that did a build your own box with whatever singles they had, similar to the way Wegmans lets you put together a six-pack of beer. Basically pick up 12 of whatever flavor you wanted and you got them for the price of a box. Unfortunately they've closed, but it was a great way to get a variety pack of only flavors you liked.

I like the CnC the best, though sadly I never see boxes of CnC at the Walmart near me, just singles. The upside of everyone here liking different flavors is that there really isn't a bad flavor.

The CnC is my second favorite flavor. I noticed they never have boxes of it as well. I liked the boxes with the smaller bars better. I would eat 2 and get a little extra calories...haha

I know the coating is chocolate, but it looks very light. Surprisingly, it may be more of a peanut butter than chocolate peanut butter.

So much this ^ I get so tired of all the protein bar discussion ITT. Let's discuss the new product releases and new novel ingredients.

Well, it is a new release thread. Most of the newly released products over the past few months, have been protein bars or new flavors of bars. This is the newly released thread, not the newly released thread with the exception of protein bars thread.

Trying to find new things from the LA Fit Expo...

Exactly.. Its still a new release. That is why the thread was made.

Recipe?

Never had stomach issues from any bar... Just not nuts about texture.

This is the recipe to make these Maple Salted Caramel Peanut Blueberry Flax Seed Protein Bars

Ingredients

1- 2 cups of rolled oats
2- 1 cup of BSMOC Protean
3- 2 heaping tbs of toasted flax seeds
4- 1/4 cup of dried blueberries
5- 1/4 cup of Planters Salted Caramel Peanuts
6- 2 heaping tbs of chunky unsalted peanut butter
7- 3-4 oz of unsweetened apple sauce
8- 1 tbs of liquid maple extract
9- 1/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk

Agreed, the problem is that it just monopolizes the entire thread with huge pictures etc. on a daily basis. A groundbreaking new anabolic or a never seen before test booster ingredient could have been released and I would not even know about it. If new protein bar releases and flavors are so popular, why don't we respect that by creating a thread strictly devoted to that topic. Everyone wins!
