The New Product Release Thread

Not a fan of caffeine in protein. Adding caffeine to everything seems to be "hip" these days and I can see why this product was made, just won't be purchasing. I like my coffee too much

I agree 100%.

In before someone uses two scoops of caffeinated protein powder pre workout and two scoops of of a PWO with DMAA and caffeine and then the person ends up on the hospital.

2 scoops pre, dmaa, then two scoops in your post shake (cant miss that window!)... srs tho if you're not using this to replace a morning coffee and donut, I don't see a place for it anywhere else in a daily regiment.

Then that person is an idiot.

It clearly states that caffeine is present on the label.

I like this idea and this certainly appeals to me. If anything, companies adding stim upon stim in a pre-workout is more dangerous than a coffee replacement protein powder.

Sans caffeine I might have tried one of these flavours.

Need to save my caff tolerance for a good pre...I won't add a shameless plug but I think it's obvious I use CU

That is a shameless plug, lol.

I won't plug our caffeine tabs, but I'll save my caffeine fix for our caffeine tabs.

I can resort to a lower level but I will ENDUR3 ;)

That's the point. Stack more and more caffeine for a good workout. People are idiots and this is why we can't have nice things.

Ya, now with DMAA back, we got dummy's double scooping 60-70mg DMAA 250-300mg caffeine pre-workouts

Yep. See a thread from yesterday. Two scoops of Mesomorph does nothing, what is stronger?

I really don't know why people feel the need to be cracked out with a pre workout. I am pretty much on a 3-4 month stim break. Since the middle of June, I have used a stim pre workout about 6 or 7 times, but only 50-98 mg of caffeine each time. I was alwyas under the impression that I needed high stims for my heavy workouts. That is simply not the case. For me, it was more placebo than anything. I also think some people abuse pre workouts to help them feel motivated, which is not a good thing. One should want to go to the gym and train without needing a supplement to get them there.

Personally, I think people would benefit more from having a non stim, low stim and high stim product in their stash and just use which ever one when needed. There is no need to use DMAA and caffeine for every workout. If that is the case, nutrition and sleep should be looked at.

brb DMAA protein

Could have sick flavors like Arythmia Apple or Myocardial Mango

Who wants to $tart a $upp company with me?

p.s. I will be trying PES's new cafe series. While I'm not a fan of adding caffeine to my protein, I can't not try a PES flavor. I'll also prob recommend it to all my basic bitch female friends who start every day with a 10,000kcal Starbucks monstrosity. Should be a great product for that crowd.

If you want to improve your cardio you have to train your heart until failure

Ventricular hypertrophy is a great thing right?!?!

Idiots gonna idiot. Not PES' s fault. People double scoop pres they "shouldn't" or stack pres they "shouldnt", but considering it is 100mg of caffeine (maybe slightly more than a cup of coffee) it's really not that big a deal.

Honestly, this is the type of product I hang out for and I can't wait to try it.

I want in on this new supp company.

I feel it's the perfect platform to re-release Black Liver.

Do any gas stations or similar stores sell singles? I'm curious to try

Appreciate it guys. Worst case, I can snag one when I'm up in Louisville next.

not sure how many of the flavors youve had but the Champagne and Lemon Drop are also beast. Would say Star Blast is best of their flavors....all personal opinion obv

That Champagna is GOAT ...When a hot girl is at your place and sees you have Champagne Bang in your fridge :hump:

Let me clarify the product concept for anyone who hasn't seen it in the other thread. :)

The goal of this was to be a coffee replacement, not just a coffee flavoured protein powder.

We have fans telling us they mix certain Select flavours in coffee (CnC, snickerdoodle, vanilla) and there are also people who regularly buy very calorie dense coffee drinks.

It is potentially a very healthy swap from something lower in protein, higher in fat, higher in sugar and higher in calories to something that is high protein, low calorie, low carb and low fat.

However, if someone is in the habit of having a morning coffee, substituting it with regular coffee flavour protein powder isn't likely to do the trick because a lot of people are drinking coffee for the caffeine and not always strictly for the taste. We could have made a coffee flavour Select but decaffeinated coffee sales are estimated to be only a tiny percentage of total coffee sales which emphasises that when people drink coffee, most of them want caffeine in it.

Therefore a coffee flavour Select wouldn't have worked well as a coffee replacement unless we included caffeine (100mg is there to replicate an average amount that a coffee drinker would consume, depending on the coffee type of course).

This is why we made Select Cafe Series vs just a regular flavour of Select. It is designed for people to replace their usual higher calorie and indulgent drinks with something that is lower in calories and higher in protein.

This is why it is not designed as a regular protein powder. If someone drinks 2 scoops of whey per day and replaces that with 2 scoops of Select Cafe Series, they will be consuming an extra 200mg of caffeine per day which many would see as a negative. On the other hand, if someone is drinking macchiatos, frappes and mochas regularly, they could be saving themselves hundreds of calories per day.

To reiterate for someone who wants the tl;dr version, it is designed to be a coffee replacement with healthier macros, not necessarily designed to replace regular protein powder usage.

I hope this makes sense. :)
