Want to add in 50mg 6,7 DBH per tab? Tack on another $2-$3/unit, giving you $18.50-$19.50 before getting to bottle/label/delivery/etc etc etc.

You're EASILY at $25/unit cost before it even leaves your warehouse.

Then your distributor needs to make their 30-40% profit.

Then the retailer they sell it to wants to make their 40-50% profit.


How can ANYONE on here really suggest these aren't incredibly expensive to produce?

if that is the case, you are so far in the red, you would be bankrupt before the product arrived at your dist facility.

I think those are exaggerated figures right? If not, someone needs to be fired

Yes retailers NEED to make 40% minimum, and no physical retailer will generally take it that low, most mom and pop shops want 50-60% margin, its kinda ridiculous

again, this is a general convo and not an argument,( and thanks for the info) Im not saying V is wrong, but based on some random numbers using the above as ex- at 25. with a 40% loss to retailers that puts you at about 15.00 add on the distributors and well do the math and its painful!

then this brings me to the next ? of supplementmatics (lol) that profit margin is so low it would seem almost advantageous for companies to strictly sell the product on the home page (their site). why even bother offering to any other place if the profit margin is so low?

Contact some retailers. If they don't make at LEAST 40 points(except protein), they're not selling the product.

Then call distributors like Europa, Lonestar, Musclefoods, and DNA. If they don't make at least 30 points, they'll laugh you right out of the meeting room.

I wish I was joking.

Why do you think you're seeing companies like black stone removing themselves from numerous retailers and instead going to the direct model?

I could be wrong, however from everything I have heard it was a calculated business decision. Not sure if I think it's a good idea or not, but I have no reason to not believe the idea as of yet

good ? there is a new video with the BS science guy explaining the new product. hes using a white board and as he is explaining it, you get the feeling he is just as confused as the person who is watching it. Im not a scientist by any means and after a minute into it, I had the Homer Simpson monkey running around in my head thing going on. Those 2 BJ and AS can take 1+1 =2 and turn it into some logic Spock wouldn't understand

Never said China. That was consumer retail from a company represented on AM. Mike Matthews owns Legion Supplements, and talks all the time about what stuff actually costs - Quality protein is a loss leader to get you loyal and pay 5x-10x on the $5 Pre-Workouts, etc... He doesn't deal in any PEDs however. You can say it's BS, but until anyone posts their OEM raw supply invoices, we're ALL talking sh*t. It's a 60 Billion/Year industry - "but we barely make any money"... ***Note - I'm Capitalistic as all get out - I mfg and sell products too... but I don't "cry poor" when I discuss my products with my customers. What kills the Small Business bottom line: F'n TAXES.

Aren't they just a Boutique company? Who's actually supplying/putting what in the caps? I hear 50/50 on BSL quality (which I guess is bad, LOL) but I just used 1 cap of PCT IV (for the 2866) for 8 weeks (along with 10mg OL) and did well. But I'll not be a future customer, due to most of the stuff already mentioned.

I am in no way saying "we don't make any money", we wouldn't sell them if we didnt. We have them at a price point so we DO make money, which is why they are expensive.

If these products cost us $10 to manufacture/produce, their price to consumers would be cheaper.

The price is what the market will bear/what the consumer is willing to pay. Barring collusion (which I believe occurs to some extent in the supp industry) a company will charge as much as it can, no matter what it's OEM cost is, as long as the "numbers" are there for the business. I know that no HT product is this way, but are you saying there isn't a TON of PrWO's out there that sell for ~$40 but only cost about ~$4 in Creatine, BA, Betaine etc... not to mention prop blended so they can list a bunch of other stuff at 0.00001mcg's each? :)

Collusion is interesting. If HT owns the patents and manufactures every Andro, they technically set the price.

oh this ABSOLUTELY happens. The majority of pre-workouts run off of insanely high margins.

This would be my assumption to believe this is why every company wants to release pre-workouts for high ratio/profit margins.

majority of the top top top preworkouts are in that price category, with most being closer to $5 I would assume based on the formulas

im not saying any company is innocent of this. you have to offset low profit margin products somehow, and pre-workouts are the go to for most.
