I feel the same way about prop blends. The only time I'll buy a supp with one is if it has something that I can't get in a non-prop blend supplement, or if there's enough disclosed to tell that it's a good supplement (Ergonine and ELIX1R).
 
I don't have much to add to this thread, but the knowledge in this thread is a great synopsis of the supplement industry. It shows how often new and improved products come out (wow, every day almost), and the feedback points out all kinds of issues to look for as a consumer. Many of the issues could easily be corrected by manufacturers too, if they had any interest in doing so.

The problem is that knowledgeable supplement users are a very small minority of the total supplement using population. I'd be willing to bet that, for a decent amount of average supplement users, the plethora of fancy-named blends actually make the product more appealing, sort of how they did for me when I first tried a pre-workout when I was about 16 playing hs football, haha.

Have you tried ELIX1R yet? Just got word that mine shipped yesterday

Never bought their Amino X but have had plenty of samples of it

Tastes ****in nasty kind of not surprised on it's label

Oh I'd guess it :) If I see any form of Leucine in a prop blend, I assume "dusting". No surprise the Taurine, which is $16 a KILO retail, is the predominant ingredient... funny if it wasn't so sad. But thanks for the tip - it'll be interesting to scour Canadian online supp shops to look at labels - Google.ca FTW!

leucine is surprisingly pretty darn cheap. its why companies are going for 10:1:1 and 12:1:1 bcaa ratios

If it is an amino it should be listed.

Maybe the companies (wisely) arent posting canadian labels online.
(Retailers here would likely pull their images from online, US versions)

I should hit a supp store with a camera lol.
But as I do have associations I'm not trying to make enemies

I have :)
I'm a rep though but fwiw I love the flavour - like a sweet cinnamon, but not sugary sweet.

It gives a really nice smooth & clean focus.

Wow thats horrible! Guess its all about money to these guys.. screw the consumer.

I would love to see BPI Best BCAA. Wonder if there is even any leucine in the product at all.. hmmm..

I've been running a similar stack as a pre-workout (on days I don't use it before classes) and I've definitely been liking it, although I do add some rhodiola and taurine to the caffeine, ashwagandha, bacopa, ALCAR, and choline I take. ELIX1R should be quite versitile.

Looking forward to trying it. I know that it probably wasn't very easy to flavor. I'm going to try mixing the bulk ingredients in apple juice with some cinnamon some time now. ;)

haven't tried the strawberry kiwi, but the cherry-limeade is very good!!!

my wife says the flavor is ok....my wife usually hates the taste of every sup I MAKE HER TRY, lol.
 
The next flavor is one we haven't done in powder. It will be out in rtd form in a month, at non sports nutrition retailers. We have 2 other products we will release by end of year, at least. Lots going on. I'm still out of the country till a week from Monday.
