The epic food porn thread

So I shouldn’t mention the promo pint of Chips Ahoy ice cream I just found and am smashing?

Whoops...

Has anyone ever seen/tried these? 3 bucks and some change at the commissary on Camp Pendleton Invalid Link Removed Invalid Link Removed

For those looking for cheap knock off cereal these are both pretty good for the price

Right there with ya bro. We do what we gotta do!

Eating 1600 calories for years ain't helping. I bet you underestimate what your body is truly capable of if you gave it food for a prolonged period of time and let your metabolism restore. Coming as being a former fatty trust me I have been in your shoes.

It is called moderation. Every city has nice restaurants to enjoy. There is more to life then weighing out oatmeal on your scale and hitting your macros to a T everyday. Let me know how much you are getting paid to do so. I can bet 99.9% of the people on here will never get paid to do so, nor will any of us be stepping on a stage anytime soon. We all need to work on increasing our relationship with food and living our lives. This is just a hobby. Might as well enjoy some of that good food in the process and put it towards future gains

^excellent post. I tracked macros for years and got very lean when I did. We had another baby and I got lazy, quit lifting, ate crazy and gained a lot back. After having another child I got back in gear and started eating better. Once you've tracked things for a while you can almost guesstimate things since you know portion size and cals for a lot of the stuff you eat often. I enjoy food too much to just stop eating certain things, and as the solution pointed out this is a hobby, life is soo much better when you can enjoy the little things.

I do not weigh one thing I eat nor do I take people posting on a forum so seriously. I was making friendly conversation about how jealous I am you find the time to enjoy so many great meals while still hitting macros. Sort of an excuse but with 3 kids and an extremely time consuming job I envy your meals and shares. I have yet to learn but time and time again if I quote your post it gets taken far too seriously brother.

Try to be a little less crucial of my quotes.

Everyone on here can have great meals and still be in great shape. Go find a restaurant or something you want and enjoy it . If you happen to make it a weekly thing I bet you and the rest of your family will enjoy the social outing and great quality food.

until you've lived in your own house and had a family to take care of you will never understand that sometimes there simply aren't enough hours in the day... You shouldn't preach to people who's lives you don't understand

People make time for things like this. It's called having a life. Unless you work 16 hour days, there is not a reason t have fun 1 day a week to eat. 24 hrs in a day × 7 days is 168 hours. No way someone is busy all that time

The discussion in this thread is idiotic.

Using "work" or "family" as a shield to justify a fear or dislike of going out is deeply problematic.

Brb, restaurants are only attended to by unemployed bachelors paying with their parent's stipend. Just lol.

Bob enjoy your meals. Period. There is nothing to explain.

i'm sorry, do you have children? A house to maintain? a full-time job? pets? want to workout still?... One meal, now and then, sure... But sometimes getting all the family together and going out just isn't an option. the time it takes just to get out the door can be enough to ruin half the evening ha. Just saying its unnecessary for anyone to definitively tell anyone else how they should be living their life, especially when they have no concept of that type of life.

I have a gf, dog, rent to pay, health Insurance, and all the other stuff and I still do it. Please man once a week is good twice a month is good. You need to relax every once in a while

LOL, I don't know man, I've got 2 year old twins so restaurants scare the living hell out of me! (not srs, but kind of srs)

This is why I had Chips and Birthday cake at my grand daughters birthday party this week end, you got to live!
