I'm putting both of these together because they suffered from a common weakness: boring apples...as in apples that have not been sweetened enough. This means that you get "too natural" of a taste for our american palates. We're used to apple pie with plenty of sugar/caramel, caramel apples, etc.

At least the Strudel had cinnamon added to it, but the dough was not flaky as I prefer. While the tart's dough suffered from being hard like a cracker: wrong decision chef, should have gone with shortbread type crust.

This is a warning for you people eating desserts in Europe: these people use less sugar and it often becomes particularly evident in fruit based items.

Typical swiss cookie: shortbread layer on bottom, thick jelly in middle, surrounded by a hazelnut meringue crown. Meh/10.

I like my meringues chewy and my fruit preserves in the form jam not jelly. At least it was the size of a large burger patty.

Littlemans salted oreo is always available and is great...I remember their chocolate cupcake flavor being incdpredible as well
 
These didn't get a spectacular review, but they look interesting. One could easily add them to oatmeal, proats, Greek yogurt, sludge, etc.

Picked up the Chips Ahoy Cinnamon Donut cookies last night. Junk Banter was spot on - tastes EXACTLY like a powdered cinnamon donut! Texture is nice and soft but chips don't add any appreciable flavor.

Giant Eagle. My wife and I recently moved and we now have access to a Walmart Supercenter. I was so pumped because they usually carry most of the LE products, but I didn't see them there this past weekend. Yesterday I was at Giant Eagle and BAM! I was very pleasantly surprised.
 
Stopped at Denver's #1 Donut Shop after getting off my flight. Its a 2 mile walk from my brothers house..
Tomorrow they are also going to have a peaches and cream (made with fresh peaches) and Raspberry filled Cream Cheese Frosted Donut on special.
These things are no joke 3/4th of a pound. Absolutely massive.

I also tried the cinnamon donut chips ahoy...while they are good and addicting mostly due to sugar content.... I wasn't too impressed if rather have the cinnamon sugar thins...even the og chewey or Smores chewey

Also had dunkin donuts Carmel apple croissant donut...it was spectacular just like all the other croissant donuts

Their new waffle breakfast sandwiches on the other hand.....pass. The waffle adds nothing stick to the croissants and biscuits

I know TheSolution is killing us with those donuts but I gotta ask. Is it me or do seasonal Oreos taste better than the regulars?

Kobe Beef Filet. All you need. They offer a killer spread. 1Fast400 took me in Vegas after working the Olympia. Was unreal. Best meal I ever had .. EVER

Pumpkin Pie Talenti is back on shelves same with Turkey Hill Pumpkin Pie which has one of the best swirls ever (Graham cracker swirl)

fuaaa...best baked good I've had here thus far. Great layers of texture and flavor.

Thick tart type pie layer that does not get soggy which is then topped with pastry cream, raspberries, and a sweet crunchy yet cakey crumb topping. Every element was done at a high level and complemented each other. Soft vs hard, sweet vs tart. hnnnggg/10

My German grandmother used to make these with plum filling , ugh so good, and her rhubarb bars and piez
