Cinnamon Bun Oreo Review:

Well.. These have been hyped for months now, and it is finally here. Cinnamon Bun Oreo's have hit the shelves in Walmart all over America. After having a lot of seasonal oreo's in the past I have high hopes for these being a huge cinnamon bun/cinnamon fan. Lets see if these can top the Reese Peanut Butter which are my personal favorite.
Right out of the package it looks like a typical golden oreo with a vanilla filling. Nothing out of the ordinary here from Oreo. The box claims a "Cinnamon" cookie on the box, but nothing regarding the filling of the product. I decided to just eat one shell out of the box and see how much "Cinnamon" I really got. The shell tastes and resembles a cinnamon graham cracker. You get the golden texture from a typical oreo with an enhanced graham cracker and cinnamon aftertaste. Job well done here Oreo.
The Cream: While it looks like a typical vanilla filling, this does pack an extra punch. Right away you get the initial vanilla cream impression, but in the aftertaste is where this has improved. You get the frosting glaze of a cinnamon bun trickling down your throat after the initial taste test. Oreo has improved and lived up to its name here...
Overall this is a step up from some of the seasonal flavors in the past. The Cinnamon Cookie lives up to its name, but I would relabel it cinnamon graham cracker cookie. The cream in the center resembles a cinnamon bun glaze. The cookie will be a big hit for those who are cinnamon bun lovers because it is heavy in cinnamon. The aftertaste of the glaze from a fresh baked cinnamon bun puts the icing on the cake. 9/10 Great job and ties my favorite Reese PB Oreo's.
Pros:
Great Cinnamon Graham Cracker Shell
Vanilla Cream with Cinnamon glaze aftertaste
2 Cookies = 150 calories
Con's:
- May turn people away who do not enjoy Cinnamon heavy desserts
- Cinnamon Cookie should be relabeled Cinnamon Graham Cracker
