The epic food porn thread

It' about time they got some new flavors in. I love this yogurt, I have two a week. I also saw Plain at my local grocery store which is new. Bought two of those.

No better way to end the night, then a customer bringing you fresh baked chocolate cookies after helping them out.

What kind of photo editing software are you using, driven?

Latest shots were mostly done in-camera, I've got a pretty nice one (and my gf is a film student helping me out now too, including reflectors and pure white lighting)

I haven't used a filter in a good while, at most I tweak brightness if I need to kill some glare (the lighting off the icing in that shot was intense lol)

A lot of good things on the impulsive buy today. At the bottom is a review for hotdog flavored Pringles (gross)

Item: Hot Diggity Dog Pringles
Purchased Price: FREE
Size: 5.96 oz. can
Purchased at: Received from PR firm (available at Walgreens)
Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Spot on hot dog and mustard flavor. Makes me want to pretend to be a competitive eater. Best Pringles name of all-time.
Cons: I imagine there are many people who won’t like the processed meat flavor. Comes in smaller can than regular Pringles. As of this posting, exclusive to Walgreens.

I smashed BnJ salted caramel brownie ale brownie afterwards - great pint. I think I got a little less brownie than most have shown but tons of caramel swirl.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't get some of their new flavors. Like if I want the cinnamon bun taste, why wouldn't I just buy a cinnamon bun? lol

Effective marketing is not just about convincing the consumer that a given product best satisfies some of their existing desires. It is also about creating new desires within them.

Completely agree, but wouldn't that only count for new flavors instead of just using an existing product that they already desire? I swear Oreo and Chips Ahoy could have their own aisle based on all of the versions they have now.

I interpret a Cinnamon Bun Oreo to be a "new product" and so a new desire. What people already desire are standard Oreos and standard Cinnamon Buns, but they haven't imagined a "cinnamon bun flavored Oreo". It sounds good enough however to capture people who already had each of those individual desires.

This allows them to test product ideas with little risk, but more than anything I believe that it is about keeping Oreo relevant and creating new customers for the standard product. Bring in new people, they enjoy the cookie, and once the gimmick flavor is gone, they are much more likely to keep buying brand item products; however, if the gimmick had never existed perhaps this customer wouldn't have ever tried the cookies to get hooked.

My 2 cents, but it could be entirely wrong of course.

Cinnamon Bun Oreo Review:

Well.. These have been hyped for months now, and it is finally here. Cinnamon Bun Oreo's have hit the shelves in Walmart all over America. After having a lot of seasonal oreo's in the past I have high hopes for these being a huge cinnamon bun/cinnamon fan. Lets see if these can top the Reese Peanut Butter which are my personal favorite.

Right out of the package it looks like a typical golden oreo with a vanilla filling. Nothing out of the ordinary here from Oreo. The box claims a "Cinnamon" cookie on the box, but nothing regarding the filling of the product. I decided to just eat one shell out of the box and see how much "Cinnamon" I really got. The shell tastes and resembles a cinnamon graham cracker. You get the golden texture from a typical oreo with an enhanced graham cracker and cinnamon aftertaste. Job well done here Oreo.

The Cream: While it looks like a typical vanilla filling, this does pack an extra punch. Right away you get the initial vanilla cream impression, but in the aftertaste is where this has improved. You get the frosting glaze of a cinnamon bun trickling down your throat after the initial taste test. Oreo has improved and lived up to its name here...

Overall this is a step up from some of the seasonal flavors in the past. The Cinnamon Cookie lives up to its name, but I would relabel it cinnamon graham cracker cookie. The cream in the center resembles a cinnamon bun glaze. The cookie will be a big hit for those who are cinnamon bun lovers because it is heavy in cinnamon. The aftertaste of the glaze from a fresh baked cinnamon bun puts the icing on the cake. 9/10 Great job and ties my favorite Reese PB Oreo's.

Pros:
Great Cinnamon Graham Cracker Shell
Vanilla Cream with Cinnamon glaze aftertaste
2 Cookies = 150 calories

Con's:
- May turn people away who do not enjoy Cinnamon heavy desserts
- Cinnamon Cookie should be relabeled Cinnamon Graham Cracker

I was thinking of grabbing some of that carbmaster milk too, krogers?

Great find. Thanks dude.

Used to buy these by the pack, but have since stopped since they weren't agreeing with my digestion system. Interested to see what's different about the new formula.

I believe they didn't change the ingredients (still soluble corn fiber), but tried different mixes to improve taste and texture.

This is correct one of my good friends works at quest in California that is exactly what they want to do

Alter the taste and texture because it was changed for the worse with the addition of the new ingredient
