Those cupcakes look great!

I had 3 scoops for my post-basketball feeding last night and it was more enjoyable than my first shake. In addition to the vanilla it's like there's something else to it; not necessarily another flavor, but it's hard to describe. This may not be right, but the closest thing I've been able to come up with so far was almost like the faint taste of a crust -- like a graham cracker or something. It's almost like an undertaste or something (I'm not a food connoisseur, so I'm sure some of you have the specific words for this), but not just vanilla.

Anyway, it's very enjoyable and after I try out chocolate I'll actually post a review of each. And hopefully try some baking soon, too.

isolates better to hit that anabolic window faster to build that muscle you busted your a$$ in the gym for while being able to find one your time release of choice

Okay, finally busted open the tub of chocolate and tried it out, yesterday.

I will say that the consistency of the powder is very similar to OEProtein -- very fine and powdery. This is ultimately great for mixing, but initially a bit of a headache, because if you have giant sasquatch hands like me, when you're trying to reach in, it'll get caked onto your fingers and the back of your hand, and when you fill the scoop, it's almost like a little cloud will pop up lol. It's not a big deal at all and not a negative, but something that's nice to know to expect because some proteins are so grainy that you don't run that risk at all. So beware of stray protein getting trapped in the small hairs on the backs of your fingers and such.

I take empty supplement containers and use those to transport protein for use after lifting or other events because I'll use the same shaker cup for pre, intra, and post-workout. Normally I'd use the bottom of one of the USP shakers, but depending on how much you're putting in there, you may not have room. In this case I wasn't adding any dextrose, but I did take 3 scoops with me and those wouldn't have fit (2 scoops may fit in the little holder).

I normally wouldn't mix up 3 scoops at once, but I hadn't eaten yet and this was post 2-hours of basketball at about 4:30 PM (when I normally break my fast at 1:30, so I was going to be low on time to get all my protein in for the day). So I put a little bit of water (maybe 2 oz or so -- just enough to cover the bottom) in the shaker cup, then pour in my protein (again, because of the consistency, be sure not to pour quickly as you'll lose some in a vapor cloud or run the risk of it puffing straight back up after dropping in, too lol). Then, I add water to the top until it's where it needs to be, put the lid on, and shake.

I was very happy with how well it mixed considering it was 3 scoops in there. No clumping at all (just the initial little bit stuck under the cap that I opened, pushed back in, and shook again to resolve). Taste was good. It's definitely better than some of the plain chocolates out there (I realized this was the vanilla -- I don't really drink plain chocolate or vanilla protein anymore; typically specialty flavors of some sort). What it really made me realize, though, is how superior the vanilla flavoring is (not to this, but just in general). So the chocolate is good and better than some others, but the vanilla flavoring is incredibly well done. I probably won't buy chocolate again (but like I said, I drink a lot of specialty flavors and if this was on sale, I wouldn't pass on it, either). But I definitely will purchase the vanilla again -- and that's saying something.

Not going all out, it takes 30 minutes to make, i prep all my food for the next day while i throw it in the oven (cook potatoes, rice, beef, chicken etc) and tupperware

all you have to do is pull it out when its done.

Box'em up and send them to me ....YUM !!!

Do you have a video up with the recipe for these. My wife and I want to make them!

Chocolate Modern Protein sludge with PB2 plus real PB to fit your macros. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

That looks GREAT!!

I can't look at your photos at night brother, makes me hungry damn it!

Oh man I wish I did! I'm still sitting below 2000 cals right now lol.

Oh, there are plenty of great things to make on that amount, even if you are on six meals a day, especially when you have Modern Protein to work with! Try a mug cake with Modern Protein, an egg, some flour if it fits in your macros ((try coconut flour for low carb), a little water to make a batter then nuke it for just long enough and bam! tasty treat in minutes. In late show prep for me it's more like yeah, I guess I'll just eat a head of romaine with nothing on it haha.

Most people would find it much more beneficial when dieting to go on a lower meal route for
- Satiety
- Better muscle protein synthesis

more meals does not always = a good thing, eating too frequently could prohibit muscle protein synthesis. and allows for bigger meals and protein levels to reach refractory stages before being spiked again.

Thats why a lot of people like to move to 4 meals or so a day while dieting. Easier to fit in those mug cakes :)

I'm not telling anyone how to do their diet, only pointing out that even if someone chooses to eat many small meals, they can still have a brownie now and then. :)

The head of romaine is something I've done when I wake up in the middle of the night too hungry to fall back asleep, not as an actual meal!

^^ When dieting i have a whole head of lettuce a day
That volume!

Break it in half and use it to make lettuce wraps for turkey/chicken burgers with FF Cheese.
Works great.

Make Great Taco shells also!

Just make sure your lettuce is modern! We all should know by now that it's the tastiest and most voluminous kind.
