Forgot to mention, I locked up the cat in the shower and went to Yankee stadium

Do you live around NYC? If so, we should get a session in together when you're feeling up to it.
Are you From NYC? I'm not that close, but I'm also not far away, It's about a two and a half hour ride, I live in New London Connecticut. I do go to the city every so often but it's completely random usually. What gym do you usually go to?

Either Iron Punisher in the Bronx or Iron Oasis East in the LES are my regular gyms. One of these days I'll make a trip out to LI on a weekend and hit up Bev Francis Powerhouse, but haven't had the time yet.

Originally from Houston, but moved out to NYC back in 2023 for work.

This generation has had social media to give them wildly unrealistic expectations of what their life should be like.

you know whats funny is I have been listening to some youtube podcasts and over and over they keep saying the reason most influencers are young people are because they have never had real jobs, started doing their influencer work while living at home and had the free time/ability to build their channels whereas most adults working a 9 to 5 simply don't have the time to build their account to Mr Beast levels.

so basically young people are at a financial advantage in the most confusing technology/economy ever ha.

I like Citi Field way more. The new Yankee stadium just feels really soulless and corporate to me.

Haven't had a chance to make it out to Seattle yet, but it's on my list of ballparks to go to.

Iron Punisher is an awesome gym name

I was lucky enough to be at the inaugural game at Safeco field (no T-Mobile Park). it was like walking into a Roger Rabit clip, felt so animated and surreal. I'm used to it now, its nearly a 30 year old park, but it still has a level of magic when you're walking down to your seats. the grass, the smells, the sound of the wooden bat. Baseball is the most romantic sport to me by far.

Another one I really want to see for some reason other than wrigley and fenway is Giants Stadium/Oracle.

I know what you mean. I had a good time but it's not the same kind of feeling you got back in the day. Especially when it cost $27 for a McDonald's size McChicken and a Pepsi 😂. So many adds and banners all over. The advertising on the big screen was constant.

It's like outside of while the inning is being played, nothing else about the stadium has anything to do with baseball. You feel like you're out of business, not at a baseball game. And I know it is a business but it just doesn't do it for me anymore

its absolutely insane what this stuff costs now days. I likely wouldn't ever go to a game if it wasn't a corporate thing out in our region. parking alone can hit $100

during the playoffs last Oct we parked 30min south and took the monorail up for $6.

Because I don't drink and I used to drink so much I don't have a problem paying a little extra for food because the way I look at it if I was drinking my bill would have been four times the cost. With that being said the price is at ballparks are insane and the food is trash lol. I wouldn't mind paying $16 for a chicken sandwich if it was a really good chicken sandwich not when it comes out looking like a McChicken

I just really wanna eat $27 of actual McDonald’s food sometime lol

yeah my wife and I talk about that all the time. when we go to our favorite bar and have iced tea or diet coke with a meal we can get pretty good meals with like a $38 tab. if you are drinking, you might end up with a $70+ tab. and at a nice restaurant same thing ends up being $100+. theres more than just your liver that benefits when you don't drink!

Reminds me of this post I saw on social media that went viral. Guy complained about the cost of ballpark food for him and his kids. LOL.

@gphagan1 I'm thinking ragdoll! Now where the hell did it come from. It was on the street side of my house, another section of yard that has my house on one side a neighbor's driveway on the other and one of the busiest streets in town on the third side. There's no near by woods unless it came from across that road

I think you’re right, she looks a lot like a Ragdoll. If so, that’s a pretty valuable little kitten. They normally have great temperaments, of course I guess unless you take them in stray. After a few feedings she should start to warm up to you and quit trying to rip you to shreds. The breeder we bought our first Maine Coon from had Ragdolls too. They are a large breed too, with a fluffy coat with beautiful markings and usually blue eyes. Most people don’t let those out of the house to run free. That’s great you rescued it.😍

I'm thinking maybe someone had a rag doll female that used to escape and it had kittens outside? Maybe mama was dragging the kittens from one spot to another and left one in my yard? There was a black cat hanging around the day before and the day after it was just hanging out in the yard my mom actually pet it but it was nowhere near where the kitten. The day after I brought the kitten in the cat disappeared and I haven't seen it since.

And she's already warmed up to everybody she's actually super friendly and wants to play with the big cats but I'm trying to keep her quarantined from them for 2 weeks.

I was probably the first person she ever saw and the first thing I did was grab her by her scruff and rip her out of a bush so that's probably why she attacked me lol

The vet thinks it's a female but said it was hard to tell but she's leaning towards female, she estimated it's between 6:00 and 7 weeks old. Weights 1.9lbs (tiny) had an eye infection crusty eyes dirty fur dirty ears but no fleas

Today is also my son's 18th birthday, my youngest is not an adult, feels weird to be 41 with all adult children
Happy father's day and a happy birthday to your son! That could very well be the best father's day present - potentially not having to carry extra financial load from the kids!

Thanks, but ...... Now I'm going to have two kids in college everything just got more expensive 😂😂😂😂.

I actually got really lucky my son's tuition at UConn is completely paid it's only costing me like $2,000 miscellaneous things for his first semester to start. But his actual tuition will be paid for all four years so at least I don't have that on my back.

Happy Father’s Day, and happy birthday to your son.
Make since that the kitten could be from a litter the mom had outside. I didn’t realize it was that small. Looks like you have another addition to the family then.😎👍

Here's a little update, first off I just been eating whatever I feel like, no meal plan, no calorie count, I lost everything I gained in weight and then some, I'm sitting at 195-198 with pretty much no serious training. Just some rehab work and general exercises. But I look like I been busting ass in the gym on a cut lol.

Today I did some DB bent over rows with 40's for 3x20, chins 40, deadlift 225x5x5 very short rest.
3 rounds on the heavy bag. That's it.

Knee is getting tolerable. Plenty of times during the day I completely forget there's anything wrong with it, until I turn too fast. No pain on any exercises but it hurts when I'm hitting the bag. Basically anytime I throw a right hook or a right uppercut it hurts. I'm kinda learning how to whip that punch without turning that knee too much. Or sometimes not at all. We'll get there eventually. Pain at night is still as bad as ever tho. I wake up to what feels like a needle being jammed into my kneecap

I think for the next few months I'm going to pick one main exercise per workout, work the s*** out of it for like 8 to 10 sets, pick one or two accessories for a quick pump and then go hit the bag

Getting ready for my favorite time of year too. The outdoors grow season.

That food porn hit the spot…..those meals all look delicious. And so does the start of your garden.😜
Glad it sounds like the knee is improving. It does sound like you did something to your meniscus, but you seem to be working around it good, so thankfully it doesn’t look like you will need surgery since it’s continuing to improve. Truthfully that’s how I recovered from my meniscus tear….just worked around it and did what I could. The knees just seem to recover better when you have an active recovery if possible.😎👍

All those meals are making my mouth water! I'm jealous!

When I had my first kid I was making $9 an hour, my son is 17 years old and makes $18.50 an hour right now. If you compare the cost of living back then versus now my son would have an easier time paying his bills today than I did when I had my daughter.

I used to run out of oil and have to boil water on the stove to fill up the bathtub to give my kids baths.

On a side note, kids today don't really have much interest in having kids. I know so many people in their twenties and thirties with no children who have no interest in having kids. Do you know the type of abuse that has to be done to an animal to make it lose the will to reproduce. The whole world is f***** lol
People want a little more out of their life then being a slave to their work first 2/3rds of their waking hours and then a slave to their kids the remaining 1/3rd. Rent prices and also home prices are thrpugh the roof everywhere, I really dont have to remind you guys in America about that but even here its nothing like we have ever seen. There is just so much fiat floating around, it was created out of thin air like nothing.

Seriously, if you dont have anywhere to live rent free while saving up for your own home you are cooked. Its 4 steps forward, 3 steps backwards at best.

Also at least from what I see here, people my age (late 20s) and younger, while they mostly do live with their parents, the majority is working. They are not low lifers. Younger who go to college also work side jobs, and the difference is that they dont pay for college tuitions like in America or Britain. Young people are educated about money, saving, even investing, some are planning kids, some are not. Most dont want anything to do with rent and will stay with their parents until able or decide to get a loan (or pay jn cash if lucky) for their 1st home.

Some here are willing to give up a lot of the comfort of urban living and go to the poorest areas in the countryside and will rather live without central heating and dont mind even not being connected to the electrical grid, just to escape the rent, high costs of living in metropolitan areas, pollution and crowds. And those are the more normal people usually, the ones who do want to settle down, start a family.

Also, lets not even start talking about dating situation and finding a partner.

I also feel it may be a natural change for more people not to want offspring. I think i read about experiments where they overcrowded cages with rats and rats reproduced less. Nature wants balance, be it through more peaceful or (more often) through more deadly means.

I actually told my son he should live here until he's 25 so he can bank all his money and buy a house ASAP instead of paying rent. I would tell my daughter the same but I can't tolerate her for 5 more years lol.

For some reason, I thought you were a little bit older. My kids are closer to your age than I am! 18 and 20, I'm 41. Feels weird, feel like I'm too young to have full grown adult children lol

Dont we all feel too young for our bodies eh? For me it started around 23.

But obviously he needs to start working asap. Especially if one is not paying rent then thats a great situation to start working on yourself financially.

I started college at 18 and also had my 1st job few months later, even though everybody in the family was like "your sole job is to study". Later switched colleges as i saw there was no money in that but worked throughout.

I felt awful if i was not working or at least doing something, reselling items. Even though I was the kid who was not in need of anything.

Even though i dont know anything about your daghter, or her behavior towards you, or what is the reason you dont like her as much as your son, reading this makes me feel bad about her. I strongly feel all of the one' kids should be given equal opportunities. Rules must be set (while you are living under my roof, this will be like this and that will be like that) but i dont like the idea of giving one child an opportunity while not to the other one.
I see that so much in my vicinity, as an only child, its apparent even to me. Kids who didnt do anything wrong...they were just, less preffered? I dont know.

We, men, often like to think women have it easy. Just look online. But the fact is, its not that great. Not even close.

I think you should help her as much as possible, provided she respects you and what you are/were doing for her. It is your baby girl!

Even though the original injury seems a little better, I am having some pain in both knees once I break parallel on anything, well, it's on the way back up I feel pain in the exact same spot in both knees and it's nothing horrible it just makes me feel like I'm old lol. Overall it's improving and I'm ready to start doing some more legs.

I did definitely notice that my overall drive in the gym is kinda low, I'm forcing the workouts right now.

Your way off base dude, I made a joke about my daughter being a pain in the ass. I never said I like my daughter less then my son

How did you come to these bizarre conclusions of how I feel about my daughter from that post?
