The Arachidonic Acid Help Guide

Ok very thank you, so this is my plan, can i confirm it and go for the big-gains run?

9AM = 20 min pre breakfast (80g carbs): 300mg Na-R-Ala+2cps Recompadrol
1 PM = Pre-lunch (no complex carbs): 25mg forskolin
3 PM = 20 min pre afternoon snack (50g carbs) 2cps Recompadrol
7PM = 1g ArA+25g forskolin
7:30 PM = workout
9 PM: 20 min pre-dinner (largest meal with 120g carbs): 300mg Na-R-Ala
Pre-bed: 25 mg forskolin (after 1/2 weeks of assestment).

Other supps: 1gAgmatine+5g creatine postwo, 5g leucine postwo,1g Agmatine+2g lclt+5gms prewo with ArA, 5000ui d3.

are you cutting or bulking with this plan?

Will be finally starting X Gels tomorrow. Was just wondering if there is a particular diet or macros plan that they work the best with. (i.e. high carbs, high pro, etc.).

High protein :D

But nah, it wont require much alteration outside what your normally prefer :)

I personally say take advantage of its effects on hypertrophy and utilize it while calories are higher, but I've also enjoyed it while cutting as well.

Would it be advised to avoid ARA if you are recovering from a quad strain? I dosed it twice and it seemed to exert favorable shifts in body composition already. Everything felt fuller and firmer. However, during my lower body sesh, my quad gave me a big middle finger. Coincidence? Idk. I also got a headache on my lower day, along with strange zaps of pain in the joints of my fingers

You'll only need 1 cap Recompadrol with the amount of carbs your ingesting. Also, drop the second dose of Na-RALA with your post workout meal.

Also, why dose 1 gram of Agmatine post-workout? I would put that 1 gram dose in with one of your Recompadrol doses.

If you're experiencing headaches, drop dose to 1-2 caps per day on workout days. Work your way up slowly and headaches should disappear.

How long since the quad strain?

Quad injury was April of this year. It is much better. Still can't go balls to the wall on squats though

Serious question:

HOW do I have insane doms in my triceps after doing just 4 sets of incline skull crushers on Monday, and NO doms in my shoulders/traps after doing 12 sets plus 6 sets of traps same workout ... This means something lol

Contracting your triceps more efficiently :)

Being that Laxogenin has some anti-inflammatory qualities, would it still be ok to use simultaneously with ArA as long as the doses were far apart from each other?

DermaStrength 4 am / 9 pm (waking and bedtime)
X-Gels 4-5 pm (pwo)

On weekends when I workout in the morning, would skip morning dose of DS.

This can play a huge factor

Hmmm idkkkk

Mind muscle connection. A lot of people lat pulldown wrong as they initiate the movement with their arms and not their lats. Same movement at the shoulder, different muscle group initiating the movement can make all the difference

Absolutely, back day is the biggest offender of improper form and often it can be hard to see with the eye how much others are incorporating their biceps into rows and pulldowns/ups.

My PT showed me today how my mid back / shoulder blades DOES NOT contract at all... He did graston on my pecs to try and loosen them up to allow easier contraction of shoulder blades. He wants me to cut all my weights in half and RE learn how to lift........ Fugg.

best tip I ever got for rowing and pull down exercises is to drive with your elbows. Forget there's even anything from elbows to fingers and just consider that a hook and pull only with your back/shoulder blades.

This is how I explain to my clients!

Its hard to explain even still. Once you do it right one time and feel the difference though its easier to understand. Totally different feel when done properly

Gripping with hooked fingers also seems to help. When the thumb is wrapped, people start relying heavily on forearm and bicep pulling rather than essentially just focusing on contracting the back and moving your elbows back.

Two short questions for ArA experts.

- Which of the following supplements/foods should I completely leave out while taking ArA? As far as I know Nr. 3, 4, 5 and 9 have strong antioxidant properties.
1) Berberine
2) Milk Thistle
3) Taurine
4) Vitamin E
5) N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine
6) Glutamine
7) Isoleucine
8) L-Citrulline
9) Green tea (approximately 1 liter a day)
10) Tuna (low-fat, canned)

- Should carnitine be taken at the same time as ArA, or would that make no difference? I'm asking because there are several studies showing that intra-muscular uptake of LCAR is only enhanced when taken along with high amounts of carbohydrates.

It's not that you should leave them out, it's that you should dose them away from ArA.

Fish Oil and TTA are two of the only things I can think of that you don't want with ArA at all, due to the competition with metabolism.

Fish oil, omega 3s, NSAIDS, Cissus or other joint products, and TTA. You don't have to completely drop them, just dose 4+ hours away from ArA.

Carnitine salts will be more effective with the presence of insulin and glucose.

I've been taking taurine and berberine about an hour before my ara... Is that not ok?

Would the amount of taurine in high volume (and other pre workouts) adversely affect ArA?

I forget how much is In HV. But there's also taurine in amino IV. Right now I take 2-3g pre workout and additional 1-2g post. I made good gains the first 4-5 weeks of ara and then things kinda tapered off... 1.5g ara. Next run gonna do 1.75

Any reason why you're dosing taurine post workout?

Read Taurine pwo isn't a good idea anyway

Taurine supplementation improves the body's insulin and glucose metabolism. It enhances the sensitivity of the insulin receptor in muscles. I always take 2g with my high carb post-workout meals

Insulin sensitivity in muscles is elevated post workout anyway so taking it post workout for that reason is pointless. I feel like this has been mentioned a million times lol

My reasoning for asking why dose post workout.

What kind of training program would you guys advise while on AA? I'm currently doing HFT with 4 to 5 short but intense full body workouts a week using cluster style.

I'm a high volume kind of guy. I have ran multiple runs of ArA with high volume training with mountain dog programming and always had great success.

Thats the PES rep in you talking ;)

Since when did TTA and Ara together become counterproductive?

Well, for a simplified response as I'm not very-well versed on the science behind it, TTA and ArA compete for metabolism. I believe it would be correct to say that TTA would deplete the amount of ArA available in the cell membrane.

So, since TTA upregulates beta oxidation, this would be counterproductive to be taken alongside ArA as less ArA would be available for its intended purpose (muscle/strength gain).

A quick google search goes into some explanation of TTA and ArA.
