The Arachidonic Acid Help Guide

Alright. But isn't omega-3 an essential fat? How long can you live with out it?

Essential implies that it is only obtained through the diet

this site made me think twice before adding a second ARA run =( (I know it refers to food, but…) Invalid Link Removedbut this other says is safe to take ARA Invalid Link Removed I should avoid it and play it safe =(

Read the long term safety data on Ara use. You can find bad things about caffeine too, but context is key.

;)That is true. Forgot that. hehe.Okey, I actually thought it was life necessary. :D

It is; but the term itself means that it cannot be synthesized by the body.

You can still use n3s during your run and get awesome results

Especially if one is prone to joint issues/ has any inflammatory condition- it would be wise to use support supps for this.

It would be wise to not touch ARA with a 10 food pole if you have inflammatory condition.

Well yes. Mine is very mild and I am going to start low dose and assess. It's a form of arthritis but I don't use any medication or NSAIDs at all for it. Just Good nutrition and smart/corrective exercises.

Quick question for those of you using Glycergrow, how many scoops are you using to get your requisite GMS? I've never been too worried about proprietary blends but now I see why it ****s people hahahaha.

Cheers

Took Ara today before HIIT just out of habit, and for the love of god none of you make that mistake. The pump in my quads on the recumbent bike was INSANE. Not even fun. I'm scared to wake up tomorrow :(

Fuk that IMA do it tomorrow

I'm taking 4 pills pre should I step it up?..
Its been like 3 weeks I did notice my psryosis is a little worse but not that much worse really

might pick up some Axis Labs Hemodraulix as it contains ARA. Used Animal Test before but didn't notice too much asides from increased doms.

I was looking into that before also. But what's the dose per scope??
I decided just to go with xfa since its the originator.
If u get it. Keep us posted

Hey Everyone, First post here, but instead of trying to scour the internets for the answer still I guess I'll swing it by you guys. Basically, I'm planning on going on a low/non stim cutting stack over summer, and am still weighing the options available. The issue for me, is that I take a daily dosage of Zoloft (SSRI) and thus have to avoid several supplements that I really wish I could take. I know, for example, that I should 100% stay away from anything with Yohimbe or Alphamine in it, which unfortunately I've heard absolutely kill it for low stim fat burners.

In regards to ArA though, I wasn't originally planning on giving it a try until I kept on hearing such great things about it. So I was wondering if you may have any knowledge on whether it would be safe to take with Zoloft? I asked my doctor, but per usual, he had no idea. My goals for summer follow a sort of lean gains cutting model, which I did really well with last year (Forskolin, Reduce XT, Omega fish oils, creatine, pre, protein & of course a proper diet).

Also while I'm posting, instead of starting a new topic altogether, I'd love if anyone gave some feedback on what I'm thinking about running this summer: first month being forskolin 95, burn 24, and essentials (creatine, protein, pre), then start Erase Pro during the 2nd month.

Really appreciate it.

I don't know if it's because I did a deload week before, but damn, my legs are more sore today then they normally are! I went to do some cardio and was dreading it. It wasn't too bad, but it is something I'm not used to. I am not looking forward to Sunday since Saturday is my heavy leg day!

Same here. I started with Ara sunday, did legs. My quads are still sore today (thursday), sickening!

Few question: If you workout 5-6days in a week, should you dose 1g Ara every workout? No need to try higher dose?

Is ursolic acid anti inflammatory? Because I am currently using it, and I take it with my pre meal and post.

I haven't noticed DOMS being much worse in week 1 except my triceps. My sessions are pretty awesome tho, PB squat last night but it's been awhile coming so can't put it down to the ArA at this stage.

Interested in this as well.

I posed this question on a couple boards a couple years ago, didn't ever get an answer...probably bc ursolic acid was relatively new then and no one knew for sure, lol...in my own mind I figured it didn't have any more anti inflammatory properties than say anabeta does...and I've stacked those together several times with out any reduced effectiveness...fwiw..

ArA lovers, NP has a HUGE XF and XFA sale coming up next week :)

Sorry about the delayed reply; just handed in the biggest assignment of my uni life so i've been sporadic with my activity.

Drug interactions are definitely not my forte, so take what I say next with this in mind.

Ara is an omega 6 fatty acid present in the diet; this may be worth mentioning to your doctor. From what I can gather, it wont interact with the SSRI but I cannot say with absolute certainty. Your doctor should know what Arachidonic acid is; so I would press him/ her with further questioning about possible interactions.

Well, having recently finished my bottle of x200 XFA, I can officially add this to the long list of supplements that did nothing for me. I took all the advice (empty stomach, ALCAR/GMS etc.), diet was on point... but nothing. Hardly any doms (nothing out of the ordinary anyway), no major gains, no noticeable effects at all really. I did get a bit nauseous on a few occasions, but that was probably due to the GMS. Can't say I'm that surprised though. Supplements don't work for me, can't say I've ever noticed anything special on them vs being off them. Only thing that's EVER given me noticeable results is when I get my nutrition right/wrong.

I am only 3 weeks in . I do ADF fasting 1-2 days a week. I check my weight in the am day after fasted day. Before working out and feeding. Without any changes toy diet, except with some extra protein. I can say I have added 2-3 lb already.

Not sure where. I don't look any bigger and definitely have not gained any fat. So fore it seems to be working.

As far as Dom's, strength or pumps I haven't noticed a difference.

Its still early in my cycle but I'm gaining .. Where.. Not sure yet.

What was ur dosage and how many days a week u lifting.

I'm popping 6pills . 5 training days a week (PHAT)

OG Xfactor or Xgels would be better.

I was lifting every other day and was on 6 pills a day (workout days only), up until the last couple of weeks, when I upped it to 8, but didn't make a difference. I do have some OG XFactor, may try that in the future. For now though, given I know I followed quite a strict protocol with it all, I'm not convinced. As I say though, I don't respond to MOST supplements, so I can't say I'm surprised.

Damn, I am five workouts into my ArA run and had a little set back today :( if anyone has had a similar experience, could you tell me what you did. I'm also going to have some questions at the end. So, Tuesday was my hypertrophy leg day. Last week, I took a delaod week so I could run my stack without any problems. I was able to go heaver on my RDL on Tuesday than my last workout prior to the deload.

I was doing RDL today and my legs were a little shaky. It was my heavy day. I went just shy of failure on squats prior to RDL. Anyways, on the fourth rep, I felt a "pop" in the left side (outer part) of my left hamstring. I put the weight down. I tried to deadlift the bar to rerack it so I could unrack the weights. That was not happening. I did heavy leg presses which felt fine unless I fully extended my knees with the load, but I try not to do that anyways. I tried doing lying hamstring curls and could do so with light and moderate weight. Anything heavy was a no go, but I think I could have done it if I wanted to push myself. I didn't perform that exercise. I tried doing seated hamstring curls and that felt fine even at heavier weight. With heavy weight, there was a slight discomfort but no pain. Standing calf raises were fine, seated I felt a little discomfort extending the weight up. I was able to perform on the eliptical with the pace I normally would. I had a slight limp.

I got home, put some ice on it for 20 minutes, elevated it, and the limp is a lot less. It is a tad swollen, but not visibly. The only way to tell is if I bend over slightly and touch the area on both legs, you can fell more muscles on my right leg than left. I can bend over a little more than I could previously too. Body weight squats feel fine. I was even able to perform leg extensions, at a heavy weight, with no pain. There is no pain, just extreme tightness. Would this be a possible mild strain/pull? It just boggles my mind that there is some tenderness, but I can still lift how I did.

In regards to ArA, my DOMS have been slightly higher than normal. I follow PHAT so I hit each bodypart twice a week with heavy weights (3-8 reps) and lighter weights (8-12 reps). I train 5 days a week and do a little cardio. Do you think doing at 1.5 might be to much and should reduce it to 1 gram?

Ant, how many days a week are you lifting?

5

Monday - Upper Power
Tuesday - Lower Hypertrophy
Thursday - Push Hypertrophy
Friday - Pull Hypertrophy
Saturday - Lower Power

I follow PHAT almost to the letter. I do speed rack pulls on Friday for pull day. I may switch my push and pull hypertrophy days so I have a day rest between rack pulling and heavy leg day. It was never an issue in the past, but maybe my body can't do that with the increased inflammation?

Any cardio in there?

Definitely give the X factor a shot. I posted a few pages back about how omega 3s (which are in XFA) work against Ara.

Try X factor solo.

Any cardio in there?

Some times on my off days. Usually HIIT.

My hammy is a lot better today. The small swelling that was there is completely gone. I wanted to do cardio today to see how it felt. I didn't do HIIT, just a nice moderate pace. I was able to keep a good pace for 20 minutes, my heartrate ~143. I foam rolled and it felt good. I also have more ROM which was very limited yesterday. I'm still afraid to completely stretch it out, I might try that tomorrow. I can actually push my hips back nearly all of the way and touch my toes. I think what I did was a sight grade 1 strain. I should have lowered the weight since my legs were shaking. Why it felt heavy, I don't know. Maybe my legs weren't fully recovered even though they felt it.

got my Axis Labs Hemodraulix - says to only use 4 or 5 times a week, does ARA need to stay in the system or is it ok to break it up like this (say taking tuesday and thursday off it) (sorry if covered previously - dont have a lot of time to read)

as a side note the vanilla scented hemo's are so good it's tempting to chew them haha

Hi guys, re dosage timing , just need clarification.

If I wake up at 7am and gym at 7.45am, is it bad to have a protein shake upon waking up, at the same time I take the X-Factor caps? Will this affect the aRa from performing properly?

It's mainly an ArA supplement correct?

Just dose on workout days.

Get your shake in upon waking and then dose ArA before workout.

I fully understand that.

But the original dose has changed from 50 days to 50 training days, THEREFORE has the off cycle changed from 50 days to 50 training days.

No reason to be rude when you can't even comprehend the original question dude

If u were going to train twice in a day, early morning then evening, can/would u dose twice that day?

Id either just pick on workout or perhaps half dose before both.
