Hello people. After my latest PCT run with Sustain Alpha, Rebirth and some other goodies (that can be found here: https://anabolicminds.com/community/threads/sustain-alpha-rebirth-epicatechin-phosphatidic-acid-ultimate-pct-log.319131/)

I am now continuing the Sustain Alpha into my first run with Anabolic Effect. Thus, another log.

Starting weight is bouncing around 189-191 AM weight. Outside of the AE and SA I’ll be using staples; Ghost SIZE, Soy Lecithins, and preworkout (alternate C4 Ultimate and Seismic Surge). Plus vitamins.

Current goal is to add clean(ish) weight and improve on bench press and other movements I can do while lifting at home and working around all the fun COVID-19 lockdowns and such. Have a meet schedule in January either the 16th or 30th. Unless they get shutdown too. Cheers.

DAY 8

Weight today was 189.8lbs. Thanksgiving will fix that. Hit quick home leg workout wasn’t feeling the greatest, which sparks a question ;

What side effects are common/plausible from Anabolic Effect?

The last week or so I have felt incredibly tired and a bit groggy throughout the day, or at least the first 4 hours or so. AE is the only new variable in the equation​

So is there an ingredient/(s) responsible for this? The only other factor I can think of is the clock switch setting in. But it’s been to the point where yesterdays workout felt blah and today I just didn’t really want to workout. I’ve been sleeping an extra 1-2 hours on top of it and still feeling this way (I sleep extra bc at onset of regular alarm I still feel way too tired to be ready to get up).

Other than that I’ve noticed some increased pumps and a bit of increased hunger. I’m only dosing @ 3 caps / day — which if you’ve followed my logs you probably know it’s typical of me to start at 1/2 dose for a week or so.

I’m running anabolic effect too and have also noted some extra grogginess that actually also feels like it lasts all day. Interesting to see you reporting this as well

Most likely from the adaptogens imo

Could probably be avoided if you really split the dose

I'm actually running Sustain Alpha, Rebirth, Follidrone and Anabolic Effect at the moment.
I had Alphamax XT in there too, but I think I tanked my E with the SA and Alphamax combo, as I was groggy as [email protected] all day. Could be the Anabolic Effect though, looking at comments here.

Anyway, sorry for derailing. Looking forward to this log...

Most likely from the adaptogens imo

Could probably be avoided if you really split the dose

1 AM , 1 Mid day , 1 pre, 1 post , 1 evening, 1 before bed
Have you used AE? Or have you seen anyone split it like this?

DAY 9

Took the weekend off from the AE and the negative effects subsided. So it was certainly from the AE. Glad it wasn’t a brain tumor or anything else WebMD may have suggested 😂

Anyway, 3 caps yesterday and a quick arm workout. Felt a bit of a headache come on almost immediately after dosing but last all but 3 minutes. Great pump. 35 min pump up in my apartment with 15lbers. But you can get a lot done.

Anyway if the effects continue this week I may have to stop. If they come back I’ll try a different dosing scheme but if not I gotta put it off until another time. Working 3rd this time around has brutalized me. Now sleeping through all the daylight and still feeling a bit groggy just generally is enough, I cannot take on the added effect I was experiencing.

Interviewing for new jobs in the coming weeks, so i will resume then if I find new work. (If I need to stop again). Cheers.

A lot of pressing. I switched off the old bench routine I had been running at end of previous log. The loads just didn’t make any sense I never went over 80% of 1RM. I will lay out new split in upcoming post.

Had a pretty good pump and noticed I am looking full as fook. Traps looking bigger as well which is always a great sign of anabolism and especially since I slacked I’m hitting traps last week 👀

At this point I can tell I’m starting to like this combo. I just hope I continue to tolerate the AE. So far so good since taking the weekend off.

Has anyone did or have any idea about a 5 on 2 off dosing with AE? Perhaps if the problems arise again that could be a possible solution?

Okay so an update:

My sense of smell has been stronger than ever literally was woken up bc the gf’s cooking smelled so good. Eh I don’t really feel it’s necessary to be tested over a sore throat. If I had the smell/taste loss, sure. A fever or a cough, etc.

My girlfriend also has a cold sore and I had a mouth canker so that could’ve been it. I was just cautious/respectful and waiting to see if any other kind of symptom(s) developed.

Took yesterday off. Laid in bed for 12 hours, only slept about 3-4 and they were the last 3-4. Very frustrating so no gym yesterday either. Getting back on sleep pattern has not been fun. Gym tonight.

Get well brother. Seems like everyone I know either has a cold or Covid (I’ve had both recently). No loss of taste and smell is a good sign it’s the former. 🙏

It wasn’t a big deal for me but I know people who felt pretty bad and took weeks to recover. I lost taste and smell for a week, and it slowly came back over a month’s time. That was the worst part. Was pretty fatigued for a day or two and felt like I had a head cold for a few days but that’s it. Never had a fever or any respiratory problems. Recovered fully a week later. My wife got it too but the kids were unaffected. The cold I had last week felt much worse, ha.

Good lift today felt good to be back. The 260 felt a bit heavy the last rep on last set was a for sure RPE 9.5 lol. Off a whole week will throw the flow off mixed with bad sleep and prob not totally properly hydrated.

Gonna restart this as Day 1 since I missed dosing on like 4-5 days prob grab another bottle of both to keep things proper after the holiday (still have a lot left, just mean I want a full run at full doses).

AE will be at 3 caps another 3 or so days then I will finally bump to 6 (lol) just want to make sure I’m good again first because of the tiredness it was causing. Cheers y’all

glad you fully recovered....but on a side note i know some people who could stand to lose taste and smell for a month-on the other hand it probably wouldn't slow their eating any.

Most of last weeks training was superb. Hit a 3x5 paused 275 BP last Monday. Jumped 10lbs instead of the usual 5 and may have overshot. But my all time PR is 290x5 TNG so today’s paused bench is a real confidence booster. Hoping for 4,4,4 next week (or better).

Last week was another short gym week and missed a few doses again 🥴 this log is turning into a **** show, I’m sorry. PA got nailed with the most snow in the last decade and my alley was not touched for days. Unbelievable. Thankfully I was off work for the week otherwise I’m not sure how I would have even gotten there.

Still felt super full all week last week (and now back in the gym and of course it doesn’t seem as pronounced 😠) lol. And had to settle with some home workouts half the week

Hopefully the ball will keep rolling a bit now. Strange times though that we’re in so I’m not really stressing, I’ve just learned to roll with the punches.

In other news, would be really cool to get this 2K stimulus check Trump is pushing for and now Pelosi is seemingly behind 🤑

Push-ups + DB Tri Ext

That was Monday’s workout. Hit back today, had a good lift. Have progress up to 155x10 for 5 sets of barbell rows. Dead stop at the bottom and an explosive, quick positive. Due to back injuries and such have stayed away from BB rows for awhile but seeing this lockdown **** isn’t coming to an end anytime soon I figured at least performing them in this manner will 1.) keep weight a bit lighter and 2.) build explosive ‘functional’ strength.

Anyway just missed my 3x5 @ 285 but felt mighty strong. First two sets were RPE 9s for sure. I will get in next week.

Been on AE at all 6 caps finally for a few days. Vascularity has been pretty nuts. I’m borderline fat (by my standards) at this point so the high vascularity is def a good thing. Weight flirted with the 195-196 line for a few days post Christmas. I usually don’t over indulge (I’m blame it on pandemic stress 😉) but seriously had an obnoxious amount of cookies at home, new cookies from someone every night at work, my mom making cookies and dropping off, girls mom doing the same..... it was just obnoxious 🤨. The best word for it lol.

Anyway got a new power rack coming for Xmas prob won’t be here til mid-Jan but that is exciting for things like dead press, spotter bars, and bb floor presses (current rack doesn’t have holes low enough). Here’s the rack I went with for those interested (RitFit Power Rack). Not Rogue or commercial material but 1000lb limit covers it for me plus the Amazon reviews checked my boxes. I think it’s a decent investment. Going to get some more weights and hopefully find some adjustable dumbbells priced reasonably. All would be smoother sailing if this stimulus gets bumped up to 2k 😎

Lastly I just want to say I have experienced a resurgence of ‘alpha-mood’. Just have felt very good and confident lately. As I said I work in a prison and so this is very good for me. Anytime I feel confident it helps me perform my job easier (just can’t be too over the top, that’s what gets guys jumped 😂). But mood overall has just been great despite the world around me seemingly burning down. Cheers all and happy new year! 🥳

I Sound like a broken record but give lysine a try. I've used both Nutricost and NOW brand from Amazon with equal success. I started using it because of recurring canker sores. It's done the job and in addition I haven't had a cold or anything in close to 3 years now. I take 1000mgs daily. Costs less than $20 for 4 months supply.
I agree on the lysine for canker sores or cold sores. I sometimes starting supplementing it in during the winter months just as a preventative measure.

Quick shoulder workout. Sleep has been fucking awful been waking up with minimal time before work leaving me with 30-40 minute workouts which is not enough time for me at all really. Still been making it work, but ****.

Anyway daily cals around 4K. Might bump to 4.5k next week. Weight is seeming to fluctuate a lot which makes sense with diet not being tightest plus some holiday booze here and there. But pretty much just want to hit a morning weight of 200+ for this competition (198 comp weight) so I can just shed a little water/sodium manipulation and compete heavy Vs. going in under and having the ‘what if’ the whole time about pushing my weight. Here’s an update photo :

Not exactly the pretty Instagram transformation you see online, but the reality of adding 10lbs(ish) in about 6 weeks lol.

I think as I clean up a bit of the diet now post-holidays (and hopefully with the help of my handy dandy supp stack) I should tighten up a bit.

My competition is feb 20 so depending on how the weight comes on in Jan I might even start my cut into that comp. cheers y’all have a safe, great NYE!! 🍻🥂

It's done the job and in addition I haven't had a cold or anything in close to 3 years now. I take 1000mgs daily. Costs less than $20 for 4 months supply.
I agree on the lysine for canker sores or cold sores. I sometimes starting supplementing it in during the winter months just as a preventative measure.
Yes I really haven’t had em much in recent years but now I have one. It has spread onto my chin which I’ve never experienced in my life (had cold sores here and there since 14 y.o. or so). I have some docosanol and been using toothpaste overnight (supposed to be a good home remedy). Ordering some Lysine though based off prior research and now y’all rec it must be a sign 😆

Dang that sounds like you got a bad case of sores. I've only had them on my lip before but I do know people who have had them by their nose as well. Either way the lysine will do the trick :)

Im going to attribute it to the masks I’m forced to wear daily to go about my life and work my job lol

Good point! I'm ready to not wear a mask anymore. My home gym is built up but i can't imagine going to a commercial gym and having to wear one while working out.

No PR’s or anything but absolute shithouse of a pump and overall amazing lift. I think this stuff is beginning to really shine because I’m noticing a lot of day long fullness, vascularity, and a bit of aggression. Libido through the roof has been a constant.

I’m about out of Sustain Alpha and don’t believe I’m going to re-up as originally intended. Girl is out of work mostly and thus I’m left with all the bills (and of course happens after I drop ~$800 on gym equipment 😆)and while I genuinely enjoyed SA, I feel most of what I got from it was the libido boosting/mood effects which was really great for PCT, and great in general. But just not much in need of it at this point and it does carry a bit of a price tag. Prob will grab more AE though to get a real, proper experience.

But just not much in need of it at this point and it does carry a bit of a price tag. Prob will grab more AE though to get a real, proper experience.
Libido boost and mood lift is what I got from SA too and for that it's the best product I have tried, especially the libido aspect. For solely on gym performance I would also opt for more AE rather than SA. Awesome products both for their respective goals.

On a side note, have you tried Vector? If not you could give it a try at some point down the line. For me it didn't give as much strenght as AE, but more energy and increased swetting (I'm thinking increased thermogenesis?) which is good if cutting or trying to avoid adding fat.

I have already gotten my 2nd bottle of AE. As I’m preparing for a powerlifting event, it sounds I’d fare better using AE anyway based off your comparison.

Idk all I remember is I was drinking a lot or not able to lift too frequently and not really giving af but I still enjoyed it given whatever **** circumstance I was dealing with. But I do need to double back and given it a proper run.

Man sounds like shitty times, but hard times make us stronger in the end right?

Plenty of opportunities to give Vector a go in the future I'm sure.

For sure. Perhaps with FD2.0. I love epi but I always recall FD being more effective than other epi products I’ve used.

i remember my days working for international paper and picking up all the ot i could get to pay off debts, props to you for picking up 3 jobs to get debts paid!!! do you have the drinking under control now?

Yeah idk if drinking was the culprit. It was just one or the other I’ve forgotten now when that was. I had 3 of my really good friends pass away that both led to pretty extreme 3 month or so benders. Lol.

Just had another good friend pass away last month. I can handle it much better now

But yeah working 3 jobs was no fun 😂

Good lift. Sucked but good. One of those **** lifts where I just seemed to always be off center on the bench or shoulders didn’t feel down enough. Just setup problems. As I said pumps have been phenomenal, better and better lately my chest has probably had some of the largest pumps of my life and that’s honestly saying a lot as I’m someone who typically trains with a lot of volume, lot of drop sets, lot of supersets, etc and right now I’m just kind of stuck to bread and buttering it with my home gym.

Headaches have returned. Only real side and I know it’s from AE. They are fine and manageable but as someone who gets like 1 headache every 4 years it has been a bit of a nuisance.

I just ordered some gainer powder I’m going to utilize to add these last couple pounds. Weight is 190-194 range, so I’m right where I want to be but thinking if I can jump a little above 200 and then just drop a bit of water for weigh-ins I’ll benefit greatly that way(competing @ 198, btw). We’ll see. Cheers.

290x2 is a PR for paused btw and I hit 4 sets of it. My all time PB is 290x5 touch and go as well so pretty stoked esp when like I said setup and such wasn’t exactly flowing well for me either.

Skull Crushers, HG DB press superset

Got my new bench tonight and ended up putting it together preworkout so cut into workout and kind of killed my mood. Not in a bad way just that I had drank pre about 15 min prior. Went downstairs to lift and said **** it and spent another 20-25 min putting bench together than finally warmed up and got after it so it was just kind of meh by the time I started lifting.

Also adjust to new bench threw me off a bit too. It’s wider (completion width) so had a bit of feeling out with the shoulders and just all that fun stuff but all in all very excited and ready to really start smashing out numbers.

Not much new to report on supps. I’m still pumping out Sustain Alpha, I thought I’d be close to the end of the road by now. Though last night for the first time the pumps felt a bit compromised so I may actually be down to my last couple of days.
