TESTOPRO LOG (BULKING UP WHILE KEEPING MY ABS!)

Great line in Zoolander about throwing up, "it's a great way to drop some weight before a show."

Now you need the hydration, people forget how much water they expel and need to drink plenty of fluids . . . get some Gatorade in you STAT

Get well and take care of yourself, so you can come back STRONG!

RecoverPro is a nice little refreshing way to get some water as well ;-)

I use a little Lemon Gatorade powder and throw it in with Lemon RecoverPRO. I actually use this one days in which I do legs early in the AM. My AM workouts are fasted, but I need the carbs/sugars for those leg workouts in the AM.

I've got the lemonade flavor of Body Mortar, but not a fan of lemon. I add lemon-lime powder Gatorade (my fave) and DAA/creatine and I am HAPPY!!!

orange gatorade for me :D

I'm feeling good guys. Had a bit of off time and used this to totally heal up. My joints and back don't hurt at all for the first time in quite a while and i think tomorrow is the day woohoo!

I started something completely new for me. I found it from my friend on here BigDavid. It's a push/pull type workout that focuses only on all the big lifts.

Day 1

Bench Press
205x8,6,6

shoulder military press
165x8,5,4

close grip bench
135x8,8,8

squats
225x8,5,5

seated calf raises
160x8,8,8

good workout. Really freaking hard I think mostly because I was sick and was eating pretty ****ty (when I could).. I have faith in this workout tho. I needa find a solution to put some weight on me! :o

so far, ending the 2 month mark in a few days, I have gained about 3 solid pounds and judging by my last body fat test I think I have lost fat in the process as well.

I hope my 3rd bottle is on the way :x

Pull day 1

Barbell Rows
185x8
195x7
195x6

pulldowns
180x8
200x6
180x7

dumbell shrugs
80x8
100x8
100x8

dumbell curls
40x8
40x7
40x5

stiff legged deadlifts for hamstrings
135x8
185x8
205x6

Good ****. Felt really focused today and gettin strength back from my sickness as expected :)

How long were you following your last routine. Your next bottle should arrive tomorrow.

How long were you following your last routine. Your next bottle should arrive tomorrow.

i was doing that traditional 4 day body part split for many months with some slight variation here and there trying new things for shock.

As far as full body workouts, I have not done anything like that in a couple years since I first started lifting seriously.

I wish I was still able to do the push/pull split :( It killed my joints though :/

i can see how that would happen. Doing chest and shoulder movements twice a week sounds pretty intense. Most workouts also will hit lower back (squats, sldl, and deadlifts)

got the bottle yesterday as promised along with samples and this time... a shaker bottle! woo! One can never have enough shaker bottles (#4!)

Push Day 2

Incline Dumbell press
75x8
80x7
80x6

machine shoulder press hammer strength
180x8
200x6
180x6

(my left shoulder has been seeming significantly weaker than my right one as of late. My right arm can do atleast a couple more reps in most pressing movements...this has never been the case before??)

skull crushers
80x7
80x6
80x4

leg press
540x8
630x8
720x6

leg press calf raises
540x8
540x8
540x8

good workout. I just only wish I had a spotter. On this workout I think it is even more important to go to absolute failure on every set because of only doing 3 sets per body part. And I dont think I am sufficiently doing that out of fear of injury. The gym goers at my school don't seem very friendly and I cant ask for a guy to spot me for like 9 sets -_-

pull day 2

Deadlifts
275x6
325x4
325x3
easing my way into deadlifting again so these numbers are alright.

pullups
x10
+25x8
+25x6

Barbell Shrugs
225x8
245x7
245x6

Barbell curls
95x6
70x8
80x8

lying ham curls
80x8
80x8
80x8

This workout is rediculous. It's so hard keeping the mental intensity to take every set to absolute failure. Bu I kno I need to because I'm not doing nearly enough sets not to! :x

Anybody following ever try a split like this or even a full body workout multiple times a week. I have never done anything quite like this, so I want to know what I should expect. There is not nearly enough volume for a big pump, but I am experiencing really deep soreness that might be from the intense but frequent aspect of it.

push day

Bench Press
225x8
245x4
195x8

close grip bench
135x8
155x8
175x7

shoulder military press
135x8
155x6
135x7

squats
225x8
275x8
275x6

calf raises seated
135x8
160x8
160x8

great workout. I'm loving this full body style of training. The only concern is my tris and shoulders arent fresh at all after heavy benching. I suppose the order can be rotated around. Either way, I like hitting everything 2x a week I didnt think I would be as recovered as I am in 3-4 days rest. I'm sure testopro is involved. My heavy weights 2 months ago are my normal weights now. Gonna bump everything up next week :D

I've always been afraid to do full body due to concerns of over-training or just still being sore when it's time to work that body-part again.

pull day!

barbell rows
185x8
205x7
205x6

pulldowns
200x8
200x6

110x8
110x7

db curls
45x8
50x5

225x6
245x6

from articles i have read it seems to be a great way to train. And you are only really hitting each body part super hard for 3-6 sets so i dont think overtraining is likely and one is generally completey recovered in 4 days

push day 2

incline barbell bench
175x8
185x8
195x6

dumbell shoulder press
70x7
70x6
60x8

skkull crushers
75x8
85x6
85x6

leg press
630x8
720x8
720x6

calf raise in leg press
450x8
450x8
450x8

great workout again. Hit PR on incline bench and i believe leg press 720x8 is a PR for me too and so was skull crushers. I'm likin this workout so far! The scale still doesnt really seem to be going up. I just don't understand what I can be doing wrong. I simply cannot eat anymore than I am. This leads me to believe Testopro is really good at making small gains over time while burning fat at a similar rate = recomposition. I'm getting stronger so I am happy. At the end of this month I will look at a new picture vs an old one and see how dramatic this change really is

pull day 2

Deadlifts

315x6
365x2 PR!!!
225x6

pullups
+35x6
+35x6
+25x8

barbell shrugs
245x8
265x6
225x10

barbell curls w/more dominant inner grip (tryin to hit my outer bis theyve always been weak)
80x8
90x8
90x7

leg curls lying
110x8
130x8
150x8

**** yeah 365 deadlift feels good!

Is that a deadlift PR? :D

Reps coming your way for that badboy!

Nice Pr keep up the good work

I set some nice prs on testopro and so has Psky5. Testopro seems to do well for PR's all joking aside-seriously

it definitely does. Testopro seems to increase strength as the most noticeable thing. Every single lift is higher now then it was before testopro :D

PUSH DAY 1

I went for a max bench day. I wanted to see how heavy I could lift because I simply have not maxed in almost a year. Plus, I want to see what testopro could really do seeing as I have only a couple weeks left.

Bench Press
185x1
225x1
245x1
265x1 PR easily!
285 - just missed it by a hair. I was more than half way up to lockout but couldnt hit it! DAMN. I'd say my max bench is 270-275 conservatively . Before my testopro run I bet my max was around 250. :)

Bench press continued
185x10
205x10
135x15

close grip bench for tris
155x8
185x6 PR again!
155x7

shoulder press
135x8
135x8
155x4

squats 275x6
295x6
315x5 PR!! I believe my last squat max for 315 was 3 reps! My friend said the bar was bending now that **** feels good

calf raises
200x10
250x10
270x8

Great workout, Definitely feel strong today! It's going to be sad to see testopro go. I've been considering in fact, running testopro straight into a short PH cycle, but iduno I might wait it out

630x8
630x6

hell ****in yeah! my workouts are gettin better and better. I'm seeing the most strength increases in this last month. Wow!

Deadlifts
360x4 PR

bb curls
95x8 PR

95x7

lying leg curls
120x8
120x8
120x8

strength increases are common with testopro.

I and quite a few other loggers increased strength and set prs on testopro , even up there and surpassed when they were on a cycle.

Wow! I just went back and caught up from the past few days. There's been a lot of good stuff going on in here!

push day

bench press - disclaimer: the bar i used was really thick and hard for me to grip. That was probably the only difference, however I really thought it was heavier than 45lbs. It screwed up my mind set lol

225x8
235x5
215x5

perhaps i was in a little over my head here...

close grip bench
135x8
175x6

275x3
185x8

seated calf raises
90x10
135x10
180x8
180x8

not the best workout. I can't wait to go to my actual school gym tomorrow. I have 8 days left of testopro I believe, so I can redeem myself on these exercises again next week for the final go!

and of course, I will post up a full review of testopro when im done hopeflly with a picture and final weight

dumbell curls
40x8
50x6 PR

stiff legged deadlifts
135x8
185x8
225x6 PR

DAMN. Im feelin great lately, look at all the PRs every day. Also, I havent weighed myself recently until now. I had very little weight gain over first month and a half-2 monrhs...but it looks like the mass has been packin on lately :D . I think I will wait for the 7 more days and then let everyone know what the scale says. Oh, the suspense.

hit the gym today, because tomorrow im taking the GRE so ill be testing for 5 hours..i foresee now wanting to go to the gym after that lol.

LOL @ the Planet Fitness comment.

Good luck on the GRE. What do you plan on studying in grad school? You staying where you are or going to another school?

thanks a lot man! I plan on goin into clinical psych, specifically interested in neuropsychology. Where I am going I am not sure yet, but I have quite a few months before I needa make that decision. I am not interested in staying at UCF though

That sounds really interesting. I wish I had more focus when I was in college my first time around. I got in and got out, lol.

My cousin got his BA and Masters at UCF and then worked there after that. He's actually back in school there, now. He's either been enrolled or worked at UCF since 1999.

Interpersonal Communication and Hospitality Mgt...and something else. One of his degrees was dual. I can't remember. It was a bunch of BS, IMO. That's why he's back in undergrad, now.

I went back for a biology degree, but had to quit b/c having a house and an apartment for a year killed my finances.
