Test boosters/AI and cholesterol

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I couldn't really find an answer... Does taking test boosters and AI supplements negatively affect ones cholesterol levels?

Thanks

I suppose it depends on what we're talking about, as well as the ingredients in a given test booster.

For example, ashwagandha (included in some test boosters such as AlphaMax XT and Testify) has been shown to increase HDL and decrease LDL, which would actually make it beneficial for cholesterol.

If you're concerned with cholesterol, aged garlic is an affordable and effective option with some other benefits as well.

I'm currently taking BLR Viron and Letrone if that helps at all..
It looks like Viron is tongkat ali and boron citrate. I haven't seen any research showing either to negatively effect cholesterol.

It looks like Letrone is Atractylodes Macrocephala, and I did find some animal studies that found it atractylodes can increase HDL.

Are your cholesterol levels borderline OP? Or, are you supposing there could be a similiarity of sorts between anabolic compounds' impact on lipids and so possibly too a testbooster?

Just trying to ascertain the exact motivation for your concern here.

Somewhat borderline and I just wanted to see if it's something I should be concerned with regarding with these particular supplements.

Are you currently doing anything supplemental/dietary to try and keep your lipids within an acceptable range?

I take Cycle Assist + niacin (the flush kind) year round and it has really helped my cholesterol numbers. Doc wanted me to get on statins at age 21 (genetically bad cholesterol), and I said hell no and started experimenting with OTC stuff and have been on this stack for 6 years now.

I'll take a look at that along with the garlic suggested earlier as well, thanks!

Have you had any concerns about and/or issues with reduced insulin sensitivity from high-dose niacin supplementation? What dose of niacin are you using?

You know, this just makes me think - since the hormone chain starts with cholesterol, wouldn't something that increases production of testosterone naturally tend to lower cholesterol? more cholesterol turned to pregnenelone, then dhea, then 4ad then testosterone. I guess the total mg worth of difference would be miniscule though, a 1mg of testosterone a day difference would be noticeable.
