Swol and Boone's Quest To Get Hyooooge

The 6-20 was initially developed in relation to your HR levels (so 18 would be ~180). It's been a bit tho so maybe not haha

The 1-10 scale I see most often with weights is RTS as it seems easier to correlate the reps left in the tank with it, but essentially they are the same.

As Kyle knows. :D

There's different scales. And it wouldn't be 6-10, would be 1-10. 6-20 is most common used. I'm currently in exercise physiology and other kinesiology courses so I think I have a good idea :).

the 6-20 was the old scale
the 6-10 is the more updated scale (BorgCR10)
There is also a RPE 5 Hand Scale as well.

i like the 1-10, pretty standard, but 3 different ways to interpret the data and info.

Haha glad you guys like it,
They have a special Edition Coffee Crisp ice cream here too but I couldn't send that

Lol only 3?? You have better will power than me. Lol contemplating coffee crisp being my intra carbs tomorrow

Moderation sir :)
it did not fit my kcals that day and saved it for a cheat meal, on top of a pint of ice cream and an entree that prob took my kcals about 1000+ above normal lol

Yes, all mean the same thing :).

1-10 RPE is also easier to use for older population.

At least aging isn't as scary a thought since joining up on AM,
Tons of guys on here in the best shape of their life in upper age groups.

I am much more afraid of becoming a father, likely in the next couple of years

Afraid is prior to birth. Blessed is the moment you become a father. Nothing will change a man more in a moments time.

Btw I'm in this bish you sexy fûcks!

Truth!! Feel worlds better at 36 than I did in my 20's. But I also don't party as hard either. Or at all for that matter.

Also being a father in my 30's (just had a girl last year) is much easier than in my 20's (oldest is in college). Again I think it's because I don't party so hard!! LOL

Damn looks like in March around the arnold i am going to be found dead at the booth wanna come rescue me bro?
with all the snow you guys are getting that has to be taking years off your life ha. I'll send you a care package when I move south. Maybe a box of warmth and sunshine

Being on here really does give a different perspective on things like kids and aging. You guys are totally right in that there's lots of guys my parents age that are still in great shape and have that killer mentality (which I always assumed disappeared at like 30 ha).

And kids as well. Lots of guys on here who totally dedicate themselves to their kids but make it work and still get to the gym and eat well and all that. It's all about balance and in sure it takes some practice but AM has a hell of a group of guys that can give some awesome tips.

Great minds on here indeed. :)

Had a monster pull power session this morning. For the first time all week I felt rested and really focused and it showed. Was pulling 255 for reps with ease.

Went home and had a big bowl of Proats (strawberry cheesecake) and some broccoli to hold me over until dinner tonight at this redneck wedding I'm at.

Seriously this place and these people are straight out of mtv's buck wild. Had to put my truck in 4wd to get up the snowy dirt road to the church and then realized how overdressed I was wearing jeans and a button down with a tie. Literally 10:1 ratio of flannels/plaid shirts vs dress clothes. Even the groomsmen wore jeans ha.

Dude, you sure do go to a lot of weddings!

Oh she's not coming with you?
nope. Just me. I'm gonna be in the road most of the time anyways so it wouldn't even help. She's tied to the local hospital for 2yrs tho too since they helped pay for her schooling.

Ah okay. Staying together though right?
that's the plan. We'll see how it goes. I've done long distance before and in college so I'm not that worried (plus I like my space) but I don't know how well she's gonna handle it.

thanks man.

That sounds bomb. I'm pretty psyched for this reception Cuz all the food is homemade and by hillbillies so you know it's gonna be some old fashioned country stuff. Should be plenty to fill me 2k calories I have left ha.

I'll get some pics. Prob buffet style. I'm betting on a pasta dish, some bbq, prob not many veggies, and cookies galore.

BBQ my god. Been a hot minute since I had bbq and there's no new place in my town that's apparently bomb.com

My moms slow cooked ribs are one of my favorites though

love some good bbq. There's a place by me that has some incredible ribs and pulled pork that I had at another wedding rehearsal dinner. I think I ate my weight in meat that night.

Round 1: all homemade: snickerdoodles, cheesecake bites, black bottoms, cranberry white choc chip, choc oats, and some veggies for good measure ha

Yup Agree
it was not until i got to train with:

Tommy Jeffers, Kurt Weidner, Layne Norton, Brian Whitacre, Marc Lobliner, Doug Miller and a few others that really opened up my eyes to true intensity of weight training.
