Sweet Christmas

So who has watched (or is still currently watching) Luke Cage (on Netflix)?

I'm swamped this semester with an EMT course that I picked up in addition to the billion other extras I took on in my life, but I did manage to carve out time for a few episodes the weekend it released and then quickly later finished the series. I don't have much time for tv right now, but I gave what time I had budgeted for it to that.

That has to be one of the best seasons of tv I've seen in a good long while. The cast is top notch (love seeing Remy from House of Cards, Sugar from Banshee, and Juice from SOA all over on here) and the plotline is just fantastic. It has a very 70's feel and almost a Tarantino-esque feel to it just simply from the filming and largely from the score (their use of music is great, IMO).

Just wanted to see what anyone else thought who saw it. I was thrilled with it.

I haven't heard of it. What's it about? I have been to caught up in AHS and Grey's Anatomy

Just starting it, looking good so far

Just wrapped up with Spartacus and Vikings. Jana on nights = Me watching something action packed

Dont know about the show, but I have an EMT pointer for you... when you take a test, and one of the options is oxygen or airway, THATS PROBABLY THE ANSWER!! TRUST ME

Part of the Marvel universe in Netflix's original programming, and IMO, the best of all so far.

I never read comics as a kid, but I can't say enough about this show.

I miss Spartacus. First season was the best, but I enjoyed all of it. Crixus (sp) is in Arrow, but I stopped watching that one because it for irritating lol.

Vikings started off stronger in the first seasons, too. Last season was meh for me. I want old Ragnar and Rollo back!!!

I miss Spartacus too. Watching the flash now and AHS.

Invalid Link Removed my mailbox key lmao

Also , AHS>>>> I've never missed an episode best show ever

I just finished it haha

I have to say that this and Jessica Jones surprised me, I tried watching Daredevil and AOS but couldn't get passed the first few episodes

Daredevil got better. The second season was crazy. Lot of good stuff going on.

Luke Cage is great

BUT

I LOVE NARCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Season 1 of Spartacus was epic. The rest was great but 1 was beyond good.

Daredevil and arrow both took some getting into but got real good late season 1 and into 2... arrow I love but the last season or so has gotten a bit slower.

Flash has been great but I haven't gotten to the current season yet (kinda just want to binge it ha)

Vikings I only saw like the first ep or two and it was ok. Need to give it a better chance.

AHS season 1 was so far and away th best... season 2 and beyond have gone down hill for me. Hotel was unwatchable. Gotta try out the new one tho cuz I've heard better things.

I've heard a lot of mixed things about Luke cage... some said great, some said awful, one buddy called it "Tyler perry's madea's Luke cage" haha

Luke Cage is SLOWWWWWWW in the start, if you're into Daredevil and the non stop action you'll be disappointed.

BUT it's still a great show

The Flash is my favorite show right on TV (outside of the Strain)

Really liked the strain too. The last season was slower/a little "cheesy" at times but still cool. Interested to see where they take it.

Gotham has been awesome too. I love seeing all the "young" characters and how they introduced and develop them

I love most of the shows mentioned, but to me, Luke Cage just felt superior (sounds kind of dumb, but what I mean is the way it was shot and the plotlines ran it felt like a cross between a solid 70's gangster movie mixed with Tarantino's fingerprints on it). I just can't get over how much I enjoyed it. The cast was phenomenal, too.

I watched the finale of the Strain Sunday night and man, without revealing spoilers, I"ll just say it's similar to TWD and other shows where now I just hate a child (Doc's son) lol.

First 2 seasons of the Strain were awesome, this past season (Season Finale was Sunday) wasn't the best. It felt rushed to me. Granted they just got renewed for a 4th season (hopefully getting their 5th and final season next) I just want the 4th season to be better AND they need to change the time when they broadcast it, past 2 episodes went against the Walking Dead and I know they got terrible ratings because of that

oh damn, i was thinking the new season was just about to START, not end!!! damn, i'll have to hope theyre on demand still...

TWD is still one of my fav shows but it has gone through some serious lulls the last few seasons. Nowhere near up to par with the first seasons as, for me, its too much "people focused" vs the original "zombie focused" theme... mostly the walkers are just in the way now, not the main issue.

TWD airs at 9, Strain airs at 10 (EST).

I know TWD running a few minutes past 10 messes that up, but it pairs pretty well with one into the other (and they only overlapped 2 weeks before the Strain's season ended).

I don't have an urge to watch TWD like I used to. I'll watch it, but by no means am I like "best part of my day!" lol. The only reason I bother with it on Sunday nights (still need to watch episode 2) is to avoid spoilers because it seems to be the one show that people won't leave alone on facebook even if you're trying to avoid it. But until they get picking back up, I'm at sort of "meh" with it.

I would LOVE a spin-off series of the Strain for an origin feature. The stuff on the half-breed back in Romania was amazing and I seriously would kill for a full series of just that stuff/WWII, etc.

You would think that, but a majority of the people that watch TWD also watching Talking Dead, I really wish The Strain would've started 2 week earlier giving it a cut off date a week prior till TWD started

I LOVE the Strain, it is a fantastic show, I love the WW II aspect of it, I love how it sticks super close to the comic AND I love that it's giving Guillermo del Toro something to do with his monster magic!!!!!

Totally forgot about TD.

I used to watch that last year when a few friends and I (in my old CST time zone lol) would chat on fb messenger while watching the episode and then TD. I think I'm just kind of "meh" with the show, so I don't care to watch the stuff after, but also, once I started lifting in the mornings, I'm trying to be in bed at 11 at the latest, but preferably by 10 lol. I'm up before 5 AM and with On Demand, Hulu, etc., I enjoy watching those shows earlier in the evenings instead of that "late" at night (never thought I'd see the day where I changed like this, but I love getting up earlier and wouldn't change back).
