Supps to relieve nervousness?

What are some good supplements that could help relieve anxiety but still promote concentration? I'm mainly gonna use it in social situations or when giving a speech for class. I've tried Yellow nEuphoria, but I would really like something stronger without resorting to marijuana or alchohol, as I am often the DD. I ordered some PEA + hordenine today, actually, so I'll see how effective that is, but I'm also looking for other suggestions.

Bump to this...I'm pretty laid back, but I really stress out when it's test time!

I have had anxiety probs for years. Used to be on meds for it but that sucked in other ways.

Here's what I currently use to keep the anxiety at bay.

- 1g magneisum, empty stomach, before bed.
- *Inositol* This is very effective used in split doses of 500mg at a time throughout the day. 1g before bed. Studies have shown this effective at treating depression & OCD - subjects used 18g/day doses but less works for me.
- Theanine - 200-500mg doses. Usually I would only use this in preps for an anxiety producing event like public speaking. Calms without hurting performance.
- Taurine can help keep your mind from over excitement.
- Rhodiola helps the body adapt to stress.
- 3 g's Vit C split throughout day.

Of these above, for me, the Inositol will have the most acute effects while the Vit C and Magnesium are more long term maintanence.

L-tryptophan --- works great

st john's wort --- kinda slows my brain down a bit

fish oils - mega dosed, e.g. 8g

:)

I would go with Inositol also, worked really good for my Anxiety/Stress/OCD, also helps me alot when cutting to control appetite. Hopefully nutraplanet will carry it soon...IP6 might work better, heard its suppossed to be a better form of Inositol...

Rhodiola, Maca, Alcar, Choco... Maca

My friend has some crazy anxiety and when he hits up my Maca, Shazam! He's chill.

Phenibut is definetly something to look at as well. I am not very stressed, and I took it before bed, my dad called me at 9:45 (I usually can't sleep anymore after 8:00) and I was angry as hell I thought it was 1:00 AM. I also tried it during the week (1.5g) and I was late at school, but didn't care.lol. The feeling is very weird. It's like if you don't have adrenaline anymore. Very bizarre, but worth taking a look at it :)

Phenibut is not for anything resembling chronic use. Chocamine is horrible for anxiety, it exacerbates it (or can in many people).

Kava kava relieves anxiety REALLY well, within 10-15 minutes of taking it. Tons of studies bear this out, look it up.

I recommend KavaKing brand, google will show the way.

It's funny that you mention that...my mind goes so many different ways that sometimes I don't know if I'm coming or going. My I try to do something and then before I can physcially start that my brain has me doing something else...sometimes I end up walking in circels :fool2:

I have some Avena Sativa products around the house for a non-hormonal stack that I wan to run, but I cannot find a single study that proves it's usefulness for freeing up bound test...the only things that I can find are from companies that have an AS product for sale...

who said chocamine! ? You bastard :) LOL

Try Rhodiola or for short term us phenibut

L-theanine and ashwagandha are also good
