Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad that you like Inhibit-P.
I wanted to reply to all of your points so I'm going to put the ones I'm replying to below in italics and then my replies in red so it doesn't get confusing for anyone reading and them think I'm replying to a different part.
I've got some Inhibit-P at the moment. Honestly a fantastic product tbh. You guys seem to source top quality ingredients. VERY trustworthy brand imo. Thank you.
Can I ask a question though? I've heard that supplementing L-Dopa a lot isn't a good option. Supposedly raising dopamine constantly down-regulates the receptors and then when you stop the L-Dopa and your dopamine drops that you hit a low mood/depression period while the receptors balance back out?
You know how every few years a topic comes up and then it gets vilified but then a couple years later it comes up and its regarded as the greatest thing ever? That's what this reminds me of with the comments around here on L-Dopa now days. A good example is NAC - I remember 2 years ago so many people were - oh, it might do this or hinder muscle growth like that (completely blown out of proportion) and now it's everyone's favorite ingredient and everyone's trying to stock up bc the FDA may pull it.
I think of it like this - when you take something to influence L-Dopa levels, of course you're looking to raise Dopamine levels. That's really the point of taking it - because raising Dopamine levels can have a variety of positive benefits. When you stop taking whatever product of choice you're taking for Dopamine, you may go through an adjustment period where your Dopamine drops a little lower than normal while it balances out. But this is more like a little drop below normal while it adjusts back to normal - basically for a large part you're getting back used to how you felt without being on something to increase your Dopamine. Kind of like - its not so much that coming off of it made you feel bad, its that you're getting back to how you felt before without it - which for a lot of people is of course worse than they felt on it (minus a little extra drop at first).
BUT I think the whole issue with it has been overplayed and overstated for the last while. People have been supplementing with supplements that increase L-Dopa for as long as I can remember and you don't see tons of terrible side effects or stories with it. Even companies like NOW Foods (the big boys that don't mess with anything iffy at all in terms of common side effects) make products to help increase Dopamine levels. Another example is Mucuna being in C4, the #1 selling pre-workout in the country forever with the mainstream customer base and you don't see their dopamine levels jumping around.
In my opinion, one would have to really take high doses of things to cause this effect at all; and I think it would be much more common with research chemicals and prescription drugs than supplements.
Take me for example, I think I'm pretty smart about things like this (I don't mean that in a cocky way, just that I do my research and am knowledgeable about it) and I use both M-Test and Inhibit-P, both of which that have Mucuna in them that can have positive effects on Dopamine levels and I have zero worries about negative effects from the stack of them.
I hope all of that makes sense.
For sex drive I've always known it to be the dopamine system and of course hormones. Testosterone/Lower prolactin levels etc
Agreed in the sense that its normally the dopamine system and hormone levels that are the culprit. Not necessarily just total testosterone, but also free testosterone, proper E levels (not too high nor too low), DHEA levels, and Prolactin levels. And Prolactin is a big one that gets overlooked. Medications and stress are also big overlooked factors as well.
Bromantane seems to have a good reputation for increasing sex drive. Bromantane boosts tyrosine hydroxylase and boosts dopamine and in turn improves sex drive. I've heard good experiences and horror stories of people using this. It's definitely a drug, not a supplement; so it also puts me in the position that I can't really comment on it much. I will say that for any ingredient that is a drug, consumers should always keep in mind that they never really know what they are getting for sure because now days companies can't send samples of their stuff like that to legit FDA DEA registered labs for testing without fear of getting in trouble. So its basically like these raws get ordered from overseas and the people selling them are just hoping for the best that they are what they're supposed to be. (Of course this excludes people that can get legit prescriptions for them).
9-mbc does the same as Bromantane. Same as above for Bromantane.
Inhibit-P for the prolactin issue.
Agreed. We get so many reports of people that aren't even fitness enthusiasts that experience great results with Inhibit-P and we also have a lot of people that use it that are on HRT as well. Normal feedback is improved mood and sense of well-being, enhanced libido, and better sleep quality.
Loads of good testosterone boosters on the market also. Just depends on your budget etc
We make a lot of great testosterone boosters - M-Test under CEL, Optimize-T under SNS, and then a lot of great single ingredient options that can increase testosterone such as Furosap XT, KSM-66 caps, Spilanthes XT, Bulbine Caps, and more. But I think in his particular case, its going to be something besides test since he's tried so many things to help in that avenue and they aren't helping him. But these are great options for others.
If your gonna use a PDE5 Inhibitor then for me personally Cialis has been by far the best. Other vasodilating drugs cause a lot of people bad headaches. I'm sure Horny Goat Weed is also a mild PDE5 Inhibitor. Horny Goat Weed can have PDE5 properties if the amount of Icariin (not Icariins) is high enough. Amentoflavone XT, which contains 40 mg. Amentoflavone per capsule also has had some great feedback for this purpose. We plan on doing a Horny Goat Weed XT product at some point in the coming months that will be very highly dosed Horny Goat Weed standardized for Icariin as well as doing a Libido Boost XT product that will likely blend some different sexual aid properties into it and attack it from different angles. The hardest part of formulating Libido Boost XT is that Optimize-T is already so good for libido, it was how to go a different angle and that's where we decided to go the direction of libido + volume + erection quality with it.
