Depends. The comic books are constantly reinventing themselves so the battles are actually intelligent; they can't keep giving random world ending powers to characters every year.

The basic DBZ formula:
1)Strong good character
2)Stronger evil character shows up
3)"WE MUST TRAIN"
4)Cut to training and talking montage
5)"WE MUST FIGHT BUT SPEND MOST OUR TIME STATIONARY AND TALKING"
6)"I AM NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO WIN"
7)Creator pulls out some **** to make the good guys magically stronger
8)EPIC WIN
9)go back to #1

Rinse and repeat so long as you can keep the attention of sugar crazed latch key kids that don't know better.

Short story? Superman would win because he's not retarded.

no man, the cartoon came out like every day, but the manga came out once a week.
Or the manga came out once a month, but the cartoon was once a week, something like that...

So in order to not get ahead of the manga they had to add filler.


ie, talking, powering up, building up the enemy...etc....

But like I said they are re releasing all of the dbz series with all the extra stuff removed.

I read plenty of manga. I have no interest in DBZ.

Bleach does fine on not adding too many fillers (or just making new arcs while the manga develops the main arc at a slower pace). Other shows do fine with releasing a manga and doing a show at the same time.

There shouldn't need to be excuses as to why a show sucks.

DBZ episodes with all the filler gone will be 5 minutes long..

1: Battle Angel Alita

2: Naussica of the valley of the wind

Both of them are older, from the early 90's. Still revered to this day by alot of people. Amazing.

BTW did anyone every watch My Neighbor Totoro. I still love that movie....it made me warm inside as a kid, so its got sentimental value. So does Ronin Warriors
 
OMG lol those pictures were amazing.. And someone got to it before me, but in a fight between Goku and Superman, Chuck Norris would win.
