HeLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOO. The fucking EAGLES are going to win. Did you watch the game on sunday against the (fudge) Packers. It's was destiny for them to win, well guess what not in my house bitch. Brett Favre had to take his corn fed grin back to the sticks. Panthers are going to get spanked then it's off to the pats or indy.

Who's saying pats vs indy real super bowl? Bullshit because the pats beat the eagles in preseason and in the second game regualar season. Who cares Eagles played like **** in begining besides the Bills and Redskins both beat the Pats and Eagles beat them so what does that tell ya. You know what, NOTHIN.
It sounds to me your saying the eagles are going to win because there your team, but you got to get real the NFC in general has been weak this year and the Eagles just don't got what it takes to be champions as they have proved the last 2 seasons. They only got to the NFC championship game because they faced a weak packers team last week. If they do get through the panther which I don't see happening, they will be embarrassed in the superbowl. So you should be pulling for a lose this weekend.

A weak packers team, how about the Eagles and all of their injuries. My god they are here despite those hurt right now and playing for a while early on without their starting QB. That's balls and talent bro.

I'll give you that, the eagles are pretty beat up, and if they were the team they were this time last year they might b able to walk away with a superbowl win. Mcnabb did have a great forth quater last week, but it's not going to be enough.

You have to remember that the Pats have also suffered many injurys this season, most of which, early on but none the less they played through them as well.

Only time will tell. But before the pats we have to focus on the Panthers. Whatever happens, there's going to be some great games on Sunday.

I'll be very surprised if the Pats don't pull it off. Of course I'm sure I just jynxed them with that statement.

You know, it's kind of funny how seriously some people take "their team". In here, no one seems to be getting too carried away with it. But the friends I mentioned earlier, the diehard packers fans .......... ?

My wife called them up this past Monday to see how they were doing. They even get their kids into the Packers "thing". They even made the trip one year to (is it) Lambau stadium, as if they were Muslims on a pilgrimage to mecca :D I suppose that's not a big deal.

But anyway, when Denise called her back, she said they "didn't want to talk about the game". It's not as if they bet $15K on the game, but emotionally, they mortgaged the family farm so to speak :D

Kind of funny when you think about all the fuss. Here we are kicking around how "our team" is going to win..... going to kick the snot out of "your team", and these are all players most of us, probably all of us, have never even met?! It's not as if we play on these teams, or our father is the coach, or our brother is the QB, or whatever.

It would be interesting to know some of the psychology behind what we're doing with all of this.... probably something like a projection of our mediocre selves unto these big, strong, dominating atheletes. And we want ours to be more so than yours, kind of a thing.

Not for nothing, because the games are really great. But it's comical how involved we get with something that in reality, we're completely disconnected from.

Go Pats..

HA!

To me it's funny how we can go as far to place faith in a team from week week even when on horrible losing streaks we honestly believe we are going to pull out it. Or even how like I just did refer to ourselves and our teams as we or our whats up with that. I even know guys who think that if the catch the game the can effect the outcome. (me) it's all kind crazy, but if you think about i've been watching and routing for my team for over 15 years thats not a long time but I'm only 22 years old.

Just going off on a rant

Well, I love football because it is a gladiator sport. I know hockey is a gladiator sport too. But i didnt grow up with hockey.

I will root for a team against you and anybody else. Just for fun.
If i lose big deal you know.

I think we all want to be gladiators. period. This is a mans website and we are all men here. Strong and fierce or atleast striving to be.

I decided to give my faith to Greenbay because of that monday night game, the day after favre's dad died. I thought, Man if he pulls it out in the playoffs it will be because his team carried him emotionally. I thought that sheer emotion would pull them through. I always try and pull for the most emotional and determined team. I like to see a good fight.

I love football and i love discussing (arguing) it with my friends.

One more thing,

If i had to choose between my wife and sunday afternoon. My wife's ass is outta here.

I hope she doesn't look at this when im in the shower.

DAMN....................Damien Woody was listed as doubtful for the colts game and the paper said he was out for the rest of the year. Antwain Smith was hurt in the last game which isn't good either.

Live in and around Philly. We're not passionate, we're violent.

And when they lose, we want to jump off the Ben Franklin.

Its a sickness...

Nope.

My picks:
I will take the Panthers and 4.5 pts. Also, I will take the over at 36.
I will take the Colts and 3 pts. I think the Pats win streak has to come to an end.

Well Size changes I would make
I'd tease the game Panthers up 10.5. And the over 30. EAGLES will win but it will be a close game just because it's playoffs. Eagles are winning by a touchdown.

From the sports analysts opinions I've been seeing and reading, the consensus seems to be as follows:

AFC: No consensus, some pick the Pats on D, others pick Colts because of Manning's HOT streak. Opinion seems to be fairly evenly split.

NFC: Most are predicting Eagles will win.

My picks (like THAT means anything, ha)

AFC: Pats will take an early lead. Colts will tie and then retake the lead. In the end, Pats will come from behind to tie the game because Brady is a cool cucumber under pressure. Vinatieri will either kick a game winning field goal, or the Pats D will force a turnover or an interception that creates a score, and the Pats will squeak by, with MANY viewers feeling they were outplayed by the Colts. But Pats get the W anyway just because thats what they do.

NFC: Except for some truly remarkable moments in the Eagles/Packers game by McNabb, I was completely underwhelmed watching them against GB. The cliche is they win ugly, and that about sums up that one. The Panthers on the other hand were impressive in how they hung in against the Rams. I think they're going to win by at least 3-7 points, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Eagles just appear to run out of gas entirely during the 2nd half, and the point spread be even greater. I'd like to see McNabb/Staley win this one together, because it sounds like Staley and others may be moving on post season, and they've come SO close the past 2 years. Fairness dictates it's their turn. But I'm lacking in faith, life isn't fair, and I think their victory over Green Bay was their Super Bowl this year.

But what the heck do I know :D

In any event, we're privileged to be only 2 days away from another GREAT day of NFL playoff season football.

LMFAO, I can certify that this statement is true since I have seen how an Eagles acted in Candlestick Park eventhough the game was between the 49ers and Bucs. The guy basically wanted to kill a kid who had a Cowboys jersey LOL.

Well Guy's it's game day..All the hype and all the speculation get's put to bed today...
The Football God's are looking down on us today (PC-1, I mean Belichek LOL)..It is snowing pretty good here @9:45 this morning..and the outlook is pain for Manning...
The Forecast is for 2-4" inches of snow today maybe more....Enjoy the games everyone, and hopefully PC-1 later on we can have some happy chat's about it.....

Manning nothing....Belechik Owns Payton...Like I said a good defense will beat a good offense anyday...TY Law MVP......We are going to the Superbowl....PC-1 we did it Bro....

I hope now that the PATRIOTS will receive some of the recognition they deserve.

The mighty, vaunted offense of the Colts was laid low today by the Patriots awesome D. And that's nothing against the colts, because they ARE an offensive machine. It was amazing to watch the Patriots take them apart today. Some of the hits they were putting on the Colts receivers were amazing. I'm surprised they were even able to get up?! Truly WICKED, PUNISHING hits you could ALMOST FEEL through the TV!

That my brothers, is Putting The Hammer Down.

Yes the Colts scored 14 points, a testament to Manning's staying power and determination. But he didn't look anything like the Payton Manning of the past 2 weeks did he? What was his QB rating today? Like, 39?! Did he throw 3 or 4 interceptions?

How awesome was Ty Law? How awesome was the whole secondary to tie up and clog the Colts receivers? The Patriots didn't blitz much, but Manning had no one open to throw to. How many sacks 3 or 4? Did you see the Colts offensive players uniforms? The Patriots D kicked the snot of them up and down the field. Whoever picks the pro bowl players can stick it right up their arses sideways, The Patriots ROCK!!

Antowain Smith had over 100 yards. Not bad for for a team with NO RUNNING GAME, huh? If I hear that STOOPID, IDIOTIC remark again from some know-it-all sports analyst I'm going to get up and biatch slap my TV.

Tom Brady, a couple of mistakes, but overall, another strong performance and got the job done........once again, marches his team downfield on the first possession for 6 points. Vinatieri comes through in the clutch.

Nothing against any of my fine bro's here at AM.COM, you guys all ROCK. But I am so DAMNED sick and tired of the lack of recognition the Patriots seem to get in football circles EVERYWHERE outside of New England, they're almost ALWAYS billed as the underdog against any other top team. These guys are tough, smart, atheletic, and very talented. Two superbowl appearances in the past 3 years in this age of the salary cap, that's shrewd, quality football. That's Bill Bilicheck & Co.

They just win !

OK, I'll shut up now.

:)

Don't do it Bobo. You're great, and we'd all miss you around here.

Disappointing loss for the Eagles. I DO think their superbowl was against the Packers though. They're just too beaten up at this point to go on.

Congrats to the Panthers. They've been impressively consistent right through the playoffs. The Patriots cannot afford to take them lightly.

Another year, same result. Pardon me why I put more holes in my wall. :D

All around ugly game. Once Mcnabb was hurt, it was over and everyone in that stadium new it.

It really doens't matter who is QB, the receivers can't catch the ball to begin with.

Unreal, we have receivers that can't catch, a QB that got hurt because of a late ass hit which no flag was thrown, and our sparkplug Dawkins being non existent in the game. We choke again damn it. We need weapons for our QB that weigh more then 174lbs simple as that. We blitz all year but playoff time we don't do it. What the hell is that. The frustration is beyond words.

Well guess what jminis, we just have another offseason to look forward to in which we will lose more players. Tayor gone. Vincent gone. Duce gone. Eagles?? Gone...Same ol' story...

McNabb is a really great QB. He'll get healthy in the offseason. They had a great run this season, even if they didn't go all the way. So what? So we all enjoy our teams as they progress to and through the playoffs. One way or another, a week after the final game and it's all behind us until next season anyway :) During the season, they inspire us and give an added dimension to our lives that isn't there during the offseason. That's all any of this is anyway!

The Eagle's management have some holes to patch in their team, some in the coaching staff itself. With the right team, McNabb will go all the way.

PC1, this might help you understand how passionate and sick we are about the Eagles here. They are our Red Sox.

We have never won a SuperBowl. THe only time we have been there we got beat by a wild card team. Our last championship was 1983 (in the 4 major sports). The Flyers have been to th finals twice since then and lost both times. The Phillies lost in 93 on a homerun by Joe Carter. The Sixers lost to the Lakers in the finals. We have lost 3 straight NFC Championship games. We are fans that are so damn frustrated we are going to burst. Your Red Sox have not won since 1918 but at least you have the Celtics of the 80's and the Pats that will probably win another SuperBowl. We have nothing to fall back on right now and it flat out sucks. If we ever win a SuperBOlw or Stnaley Cup or Wold Series or NBA FInals, this city will have the biggest parade in any city of any sport of any time peroid. Hopefully I will live to see that day. As it looks now, we are the Buffalo Bills of the NFC Championship game.

Pats looked good.

Eagles are the same old Eagles. I think they rely to heavily on McNabb who I think is overrated. ( I am going to get killed for that one)

Panthers are a solid team. They do not get much respect at all but they are solid all around. They win close gains and that is what counts. They have a winners attitude and swagger.

**** it, my two teams are out. props to the panthers for acting like priests and royally abusing the eagles like they were choir boys. I don't particularly mind philly, but in my opinion this season their record was not consistent with their talent. their D was ridiculous, looked like an amped up version of what the pats did to the colts. normally with two superbowl teams like this I wouldn't give a damn who wins as long as the game was good, but as well as the panthers are playing I'd like to see them win. would be a good thing for their recently bottom feeding organization. besides, pats have been there what, two out of the past three years and won already? blah.

I think it's safe to say that Payton Manning is Bellcheck's bitch. He is a defensive genius. He seems to dismantle every high powered offence that is supposed to beat them. Sometimes the freak me out with the play calling though. I don't know why when they were on the three yard line they didn't give it to Antwain at least once. Instead of coming away with a field goal the colts intercepted it. They seem to get throw happy some times. I am pretty sure I lost control of all bodily functions when it initially looked like Brady fumbled the ball with a minute and a half left. I swear I am either going to have a heart attack or my head is going to explode one of these days.
The panthers looked pretty damn good. Either that or someone forgot to eat his chunky soup.........sorry j/k couldn't resist. I haven't really seen any of their games at all but they look like some hard hitters. I hope the patriots don't under estimate them. It almost seems like the year that the patriots won in reverse. People are throwing around the term dynasty with the patriots and under stating the panthers. All the patriots games were really close, so the panthers have a shot. I thought the panthers sucked ...........what happened?

THe panthers are a great team...They are under the radar now just like New England was when no one gave them a chance against the Rams..Beleichek will never allow this team to get a big head, even though New England is a 7 point favorite this by no means is an easy win.....Go Pat's

I didn't realize you were so into all Philly pro sports Bobo. I feel your pain. The Ben Franklin IS calling and there's only 1 thing left for you to do now ............ heed the call.

Aw C'mon. And btw, NO ONE inflicts more emotional pain and suffering than the red sox. Aint no way...... Aint no how.

Try looking at it this way: It all comes back around again for another ride in 6 months from now. By then you'll have added 1" to your chest and thighs, 1/2" on your arms and calves, and 30 lbs on your bench/squatt. This year's winners will have lost some free agents/coaches and made some dubious trades. This year's losers will get healthy and acquire said agents/coaches and players.

You'll consider your own life in the light of the misery of any red sox fan who sinks to yet further depths of despair despite acquiring even greater talent in the off season....... but STILL loses the ALCS to the Yankees in spite of having the most talented roster in the major leagues...... and you'll then conclude life is good and worth living again :D

I think the Patriots model this year is one that other teams need to ingrain into their own team model if they're going to be successful.

There are no superstars, at least psychologically speaking. Every 2 players on their squad plays 3 positions very well. I didn't catch the guy's name who replaced Damien Woody at Center. Which is probably a good thing, there wasn't one miscue on a snap or blocking assignment as a result of the transition, so he wasn't even talked about during the game? In spite of a crippled roster midway through the season, the Patriots appeared to seamlessly shift personnel and not skip a beat. REMARKABLE resiliency. Although having said that, I hope Teddy Bruschi was not seriously hurt yesterday because he's an inspirational guy on D.

Also, you see very little celebration from them when they stepped out front of the AFC east, when they won the AFC East, nor homefield advantage, nor at any point right through the playoffs. They take the W, and the very next day look ahead to their opponent for the following week. No matter who it is they play, they take them seriously, even the teams with losing records. They seem to understand the new league parity better than any other team, and ignore opponents win/loss records. And in their case, they usually don't blow anyone out with a big point spread which no doubt has contributed to their lack of recognition as a great team. Week in and week out Belichick gets them to learn from what they did wrong the previous week and win the following week, because if they don't win and don't go back to the Super Bowl, none of their previous wins meant anything.

Crystal - clear - focus.

I can't recall one moment this season where any Patriot player shot their mouth off bragging, or badmouthed anyone else? You hear nothing but respect and admiration for whoever it is they're up against next week because they know if they don't play their BEST game they'll lose no matter who it is.

This all comes from the top, from Bill Belichick. And while people can debate who the best coach is in the NFL, there would be no real debate on the matter except that he comes across as such an unemotional guy during interviews...... he seems to almost have no pulse even. Right now, he's got the best phillosophy and executes it the best for his team's success.

The Panthers ARE the cinderella team of the season. They've stunned everyone, including themselves. Belichick knows the Patriots will need their very best game ONCE AGAIN to beat them, and has 2 weeks to prepare his team to take them apart.

That's what he does the best.

And they just win.

AHHH!!! The Redsox I love em...but you talk about pain....We need the Patriots to offset the Curse.Yes we have suffered a long time, years ago you could rely on the Celtics to win Championships..The Bruins had there run in the 70s with Bobby Orr IMO the greatest hockey player I have ever seen. But New England if they can win this Superbowl puts them up there with some of the great teams. No not a dynasty yet but getting there..This team is so well positioned for the future with money and draft picks and you combine that with Belichek at the helm this team should compete at a top level for quite some time...Did you see Bob Kraft at the end of the game going around the stands shaking hands showing his appreciation to the fans.Thank the football gods for Mr Kraft before wheh he came here this team was on it's way to ST.Louis,he built a championship team and the best stadium in all of football despite the liberal politicians that were against him.The reason IMO why he is such a great owner because he is a fan first.Tom Brady when he first came on the scene some were comparing him to Joe Montana high praise indeed but you know what he is alot like Montana it's he just wins, nothing flashy he is just the winningest active quarterback in all of football time he gets due....No pro bowl no problem Superbowl is what Brady is focused on and Superbowl he shall have...

Bob Kraft.... duh, how could I neglect the difference HE'S made?! Good catch.

No problem PC-1 but you covered all the other aspects of this team quite nicely if you ask me.....

Just kiddin', I only have one thing to say...AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGG!

GREAT reaction :)

Wow, anyone BUT the Patriots, huh?

Heh heh.

I can only surmise that the irrational, deep seated hatred of the Patriots stems from (1) having been really heartbroken by some chick who was a diehard Patriots fan, or (2) That or you continue to lose money every week betting against them?

I can't help you with (1), but on (2), stop betting against them and your fortunes will change bro !

LOL.....Good one PC-1, alot of people just hate the fact the Patriots are as good as they are with no superstars,no cell phones in the endzone and no showoffs...Npursuit that was a clinic on how to play physical football..Belichek defense 101.....

Bobo yes we are back to square one. We will lose many good players but I'm hoping we can get Owens. Crossing my fingers actually. We have McNabb a great quarterback with no weapons. It's like having a Corvette and putting 87 in the tank. Unless you give that Vette the good stuff it's performance will only be good and not great. Damn Damn Damn I can't believe it. SportsCenter made me want to do a swan dive off the roof of my house.

Bobo if a philly team wins the party would be unreal. And for all you other bro's that wouldn't be there, just watch the news, I'll be the drunk guy trying to jump on the floats.

I was pulling for Philly not because they would be easier to beat but I do like Mcnabb he has tremendous ability he just needs more people around him...
