Super Bowl Champion Predictions

Congrats to the Pats !

Great win, so much for my 14 point spread though ;)

Either of these teams could have won. Had the titans another week's rest, it could have been a different result, even in Foxboro.

Tell you what, I'm a new Titans fan. They have no weaknesses in their game. All around greatness. Either of these teams are real superbowl contenders.

What a game and I have to agree the Titan's showed they are a great team.

New England 1 win away from the superbowl and it will be here next week and from what I hear it will be colder than this week.....

Yyyyyup. Heh, heh. That's what they all say. But somehow, the Pats manage to win,,,,,, they JUST WIN.

Don't hold your breath :D

Bump.
It was a good day all around. I cant wait till tomorrow.

Indy and the chiefs is a biggie. I predict colts by 25... final score 35 - 10

And Brett Favre will pull out another close one against the eagles. I predict 14-10 packers

We'll see tomorrow. Anybody got their own predictions for tomorrow?

Dawkins is back. Taylor is back. Its a different D than the one that beat them already at Green Bay. Ahman Green on the road is a different running back. The last 3 road games he hasn't gone over 50 yards. Eagles had a week off.

Eagles over Pack 31-14

For the love of God please let it happen.....

I had that one down. Rams almost always come up short against a stingy disciplined defense. Their magic is gone and Faulk isn't the same.

titans - rams...... well, there goes my superbowl predicition. Good games though. As a sports fan, really couldnt ask fore more

Brothers, look: Bobo's getting all religious now?! Can't you just envision him down on 1 knee, eyes closed, hands clasped together in prayer, fervently pleading our Lord for divine intervention:

"....PLEASE oh LORD, let YOUR mighty hand lovingly guide each pass Donovan releases directly into the outstretched hands of the Eagle receivers........"

Can't you hear the hallalujiah chorus in the background?

Can I hear an "AMEN, BROTHER" ?

Quick, someone pass him the collection basket :)

Your right what am I thinking.....My bad.....The only difference on the 7th day
Belichick said the hell with the rest let's play some football........LOL

Manning & Co. looked impressive rolling through KC. Somehow the game didn't feel as close as the final score indicated.

It will be interesting to see how he fares against a real defense in cold weather ;)

That game did not seem like a playoff game...No Punts by INDY...WTF....Im from the old school Defense wins championships.I rather watch a 6-3 game where every play was so magnified vs a shootout like we saw today....Indy is impressive no doubt and the combination of Manning,Harrison and James is by far the best 3 at those positions in all of football..Bill Belichek will have a plan ready for Mr.Manning,so far the record is Manning vs Belichek 1-4 ..Go Pat's

An impressive win for your Eagles. I was astonished at how flat they were for right up until they stopped Green Bay on first and goal before the half.

It looked like a blow out. How many passes did McNabb throw at his intended receivers feet?

In any event, he shook it off and it was an amazing turn around.

Still, I'm STUNNED that Favre threw that last pass he did. Almost a rookie mistake, and VERY uncharacteristic for him.

A great football weekend in any event...... my poor wife :)

Pats. Will destroy Colts in the bowl.

As much as I'd enjoy seeing that happen, I think it's going to be another tight game of the calibur of the Titans game, although higher scores by both sides.

Oh well pack loses in OT. Brett favre really screwed the pooch. He must feel like killing himself.

sigh...Ive still got the colts :D

But what a damn weekend!

Congrats bobo, phillies still got a shot at it!

It don't matter what happens in the NFC anyways because the AFC's got this one on lock. It would have been nice to see the pack make the big game though.

Not me, I can't believe it. The Rams were my pick to take it all. I based my decision to pick the Rams on the amount of playmakers they have. They should have scored 2 touchdowns instead of 2 field goals early in the game. That would have made it darn tough for the Panthers to come back. By the way, Carolina reminds me of the 2001 New England team except the Panthers have a better running game.

I now like Philly over N.E. in the Super Bowl. Only thing that concerns me is Philly's awful run defense, they're kinda lucky Stephen Davis got hurt and I don't think Foster can completely replace him. I also pick Philly over N.E. cause the Pats have no running game and Philly's secondary is just too damm good for N.E.'s receiving core. McNabb is also looking pretty damm dangerous.

While I sounded congratulatory on the Eagles win over GB, frankly I was pulling for them to win because some friends of mine are annoyingly loyal to GB :D They're SO into them, I should probably call them this AM because I suspect they've hung themselves from their rafters. Almost a Red Sox grade loss...... nah, strike that. No one looses like the Red Sox.

As a fairly unbiased observer to that game, GB beat them soundly up and down the field for most of it. Rather than the Eagles winning it, GB lost it on several bad decisions and their inability to finish the job last night. McNabb seemed to be half asleep for the better part of the first half. He DID eventually make several amazing run plays, and he undeniably does that better than ANYONE in the NFL right now. And in the second half, he was much better in his pass attack. Overall, very good protection from his offensive line. Defensively though, they were mediocre against the run. I think it was Chris Collins in the booth who mentioned that on several 3rd & 2 plays, had GB just stuck with running Green, they'd have made the conversions as he was averaging over 6 yards a carry.... and McNabb's great run plays wouldn't have occurred since he wouldn't have been on the field. He's right. Lastly on the Eagles, their receivers also looked very eh. On several replays, they almost seemed to be just going through the motions? McNabb had to run because his guys were so well covered by the GB secondary.

I think they definitely were the benefactors of some good luck in that game, although a win is a win nonetheless.

With respect the Pats, people mistakenly dismiss them as not having a running game. Their offense revolves around Brady's passing game. Between 6-7 downs out of every 10, Brady's throwing to someone. So how can someone expect either Antowain Smith or Kevin Faulk, sharing duties, to run 150 yards in a game?

But when (not if) their opponents gets too focused on Brady's passing, you find either Smith or Faulk busting a run. That's their success on offense, and their record this season speaks for itself.

I really doubt we're going to see a Pats-Eagles Superbowl. If it were to happen, I think you'd see the Pats putting up 28+ points offensively against the Eagle's defense (.......similar to the recent Buffalo game. And before anyone dismisses Buffalo, recall they had the #2 overall ranked defense in the NFL during the regular season, in spite of having nothing on offense), and McNabb & Co. would struggle to get a couple of touchdowns against the Pat's aggressive, stingy D, maybe only 1 touchdown and a field goal. The Pat's secondary takes a backseat to no one right now, so you could expect McNabb would have to be running the ball again......... think Washington & Bruschi, everyone.

Insofar as Philly's defensive secondary being so tough to throw against, I can only say: What ?!?!

For the most part, Favre had no problem whatsoever throwing against them yesterday? On a couple of plays, all he had to do was toss the ball up in the vicinity of one of his receivers and they usually got to it, save for that last horrible toss?

In any event, if the Eagles are going to beat the Panthers, they're going to need 4 quarters of outstanding play, not just the 1 or 2 output last night.

I'm practically drooling all over myself at the prospect of the Pats playing the Colts on Sunday. I know Manning is a talented hot quarterback right now, but he's so annoying to watch with all the audible calling he engages in. I relish the thought of McGinnest popping him........ several times, :D

As far as the Pats receivers are concerned, Brady has many fine targets and he finds them. Before anyone discounts their pass attack, just recall the pass Brady threw Saturday night in the bitter cold to Bethel Johnson as he blew past the Titans secondary, and into the end zone.

They just win :)

pRETTY GOOD HA....

All good stuff MaDmaN......

I do think the Pats - Eagles matchup would be the most popular choice. I think the Panthers will win though, barring Divine Intervention, and I think a Pats - Panthers game would be a closer contest.

But hey, like someone said, That's why they actually play the games. What we all say is irrelevant anyway, afterall :D

I have to balance my exuberrance for the Pats-Colts game on Sunday with a birthday party we're hosting for my daughter who's turning 13. I'm racking my brain trying to come up with activities for them that center around the game itself :D

I need help here guys :D

How bad is Mike Martz for letting the clock run down 30 seconds 1st down they had 3 shots at the endzone...He has got to be the worst coach in the history of Football...Did you see his reaction when the Carolina missed the field goal, totaly unprofessional......

Congratulations on All Fronts MaDmaN.

Pin the tail on the TV is pretty good. I have a decent TV though and don't want to risk damage/scratches. The kids afterall, if hurt, will heal

:D

Here's my list so far:

Which is lower, the onfield temperature or the Colts total score?
Count the grass stains on Manning's White uniform after each sack;
Which is higher, # of grass stains on Manning or # of sacks?
How many different Patriots does Brady score with;
How many field goals does Vinatieri kick?

I dunno.

I think you can second guess stuff like this until it drives you crazy. Had it worked he, again, would have been hailed for his genius.

And as ridiculous as Bret Favre's last toss of the Eagles game was, let's face it, it worked for him a couple of times earlier in the game. Had it worked on the last toss, his receivers would be hailed as tops in the game, and he a masterful quarterback still on the top of his game....... the team of destiny.

Instead, everyone will be speculating now in the post season if there's anything left in the tank. In his case, I think there's plenty :D

Ya I hear that, but in the playoffs you got to play for the win IMO....Remember 2 years ago John Madden saying just run out the clock go to overtime. The Rams had the momentum you just had that feeling if the got the coin toss they would have scored...

What you said about Peyton Manning calling all those audibles and how long it takes, I see your point. Personally, however, I think it's genius. He does all that because he CAN. He is able to read defenses like few other quarterbacks in the history of the league can (probably why we see so few other quarterbacks doing it as much as he does) and he changes the plays accordingly. I think its a BIG reason as to why the Colt's offense is so successful. I do not see it as annoying at all, I see it as quality football. Back to your point though, I could at least understand as to how someone would think his audibles are annoying. I'm not bashing you or trying to start an argument, just stating my two cents. All that being said, I think we may see a Colts-Panthers super bowl but it could just as well be any of the other combinations. One thing that can't be disputed is how great of a football weekend we all just saw....19 points separating 4 games...WOW. Let's hope it continues.

When Peyton Manning loses, all his bullshit looks plain silly.
But when he makes it work, it looks like pure genius.

I think Peyton Manning is finally doing what we all expected from him when he was drafted. He will win this weekend and use his silly antics to do it! The patriots dont have a shot. Marvin Harrison is one of the great ones in the making. I dont even have to mention the rest of the team, cause you all know who they are.

Dungee is a smart cookie! Colts going to the superbowl! HAHAHAHA

As far as the other game, I hate Philly, GO PANTHERS GO!!! YAY!!

Like I said before irregardless of who wins the NFC game the AFC will come out with a W at the superbowl. The interesting match up here is the colts, pats game in New England. Home field advantage definitely is a factor when your going into frigid NE. As much as I would like to see the Colts go all the way, I think NE will win 15 straight and the lambardi trophy.

I think that was a cowardly move. He has Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Looker is okay, and Marshall Faulk to throw to with 1 timeout. Reminds me of Super Bowl XXIII ( 49ers vs. Bengals ) cause Bill Walsh coulda just done the same thing trailing 16-13, he risked it and the 49ers won 20-16. I don't think 20 yards is too much to ask for. What shocked me the most was that Martz has this gambler attitude and he suddenly became a pussy.

The Pats. Don't have a shot? They beat them the last time they played and that was in Indy. Manning is 1 and 4 against Bellchick's Pats. While they looked good last week againsts KC, you have to agree that KC's defense is not even close to the patriots D.

This has the makings of a great game, don't get me wrong by no means is New England assured of winning this game it's gonna be their toughest game yet.I do believe Indy is more talented up front with Manning,James and Harrison and it could be a blowout.I just don't see that happening Bill Belichik will put this team in a position to win maybe by 3 points but he will negate the power of the Indy offense with different looks on defense...That's my story and im sticking to it......

PC1 said:

Remember all of those big plays were against a 3rd string cornerback. The one against Bobby Taylor was just a great play by the Ferguson. The throw wasn't good. I'm surprised they survived this far with the amount of injuries they have on defense. They almost don't even rotate players because they don't have them!

This is typical of the Eagles though. They look like **** for 3 quarters, hang around, then win in the 4th. Its nothing new when you wtch them every week. Right now they are missing 3 probowlers and their main D linemen for stopping the run (Thomas). Hangin on by a thread but I think they can beat Carolina since Davis isn't playing.

E... A..... G.... L..... E...... S....... EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After last game there should be no doubt. All the way baby. Now back to drinking honey to sooth the throat I so tortured on sunday afternoon. WOW 4th and 26 holy Sh@$

Amen to all of that. Manning has really hit his stride. My wanting to see him get popped by the Pats has more to do with his annoying success the past couple of weeks ;)

In any event, this playoff season has been really great even if one's "team" lost. The games have all been great with overall VERY low point spread. Great stuff.

It's a cliche, but it's also easy to see. Given the overall balance between the remaining teams, the games will be won by the team making the fewest mistakes, and who can capitalize on their opponents mistakes.

HeLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOO. The fucking EAGLES are going to win. Did you watch the game on sunday against the (fudge) Packers. It's was destiny for them to win, well guess what not in my house bitch. Brett Favre had to take his corn fed grin back to the sticks. Panthers are going to get spanked then it's off to the pats or indy.

Who's saying pats vs indy real super bowl? Bullshit because the pats beat the eagles in preseason and in the second game regualar season. Who cares Eagles played like **** in begining besides the Bills and Redskins both beat the Pats and Eagles beat them so what does that tell ya. You know what, NOTHIN.

I think the Key to the AFC championshipgame will be if Payton Manning is able to affectivly read Belichek's D. Belichek's plan is to not give manning any reads when his D line's up. Payton is a student of the game and studies extensivly if anyone can read the Pats D it's him.if payton is able to affectivly read the pat's D and make audibles at the l;ine i think the colts will have the game in lock. Otherwise it's going to be a long day for the colts in NE.
