Is it ok for strait people to work at gay clubs?

ditto on that. i just dont understand why so many people care about what the heck is going on behind there neighbors doors...its not like you are forced to join their party....

umm when they demand the right to hold a parade wearing assless chaps or any of the other hideous regalia, we are forced to see their party at least. Tampa was one of the few cities who refused to allow a gay pride parade, it was rather interesting all the debates in the paper.

Outside of the parade issue tho, I agree. One of my co-workers who I like the most is gay, and most of my mother in laws male friends are gay too (I think its because no hetero guy would put up with her) so sometimes we end up hanging out with them.

For some people it really is that "In your face" attitude, and its not specific to gays, its the same for any group who wants to say "we're special for some reason". If we're all created equal, and all deserve equal treatment, then none of us are in a "special" group, we're all equal. The episode of South park where Mr Garrison is trying to get fired illustrates the point very well :D Lemmiwinks where are you!

i agree... i had completely forgotten about their parades...

everyone should watch more south park. there are seriously great lessons that can be learned from that show. still the tolerance episode is my favorite
 
Because it's religion and they have their rules just you have yours as far what is right and wrong. Faulting someone else on what they consider wrong and not liking the fact people do it to you is a bit hypocritical. A lot is social too on what is or isn't acceptible. Lipstick lesbians are damn near mainstream now. I live my life by my standards and priorities and I let others live theirs as long as it doesn't cause others harm.
 
They all need to go BACK IN THE CLOSET. When I was in high school most of them were. No problem with that. No they are everywhere and want special rights. They are constantly on TV, and what now a GAY COWBOY MOVIE?. Come on now????. I have no problem with these people being who they are, I just don't like that now they are flaunting it!. I don't care what you do behind closed doors!. JUST DO IT BEHIND CLOSED DOORS!!!...Sorry but his lifestyle seems to being pushed on television and media today!...
 
I don't know man. I don't think people should have to hide who they are just to make others feel better. I'm not preaching acceptance. I'm preaching tolerance. The constitution of the US GUARANTEES us the pursuit of happiness. If some people believe that happiness to be in the arms of someone of the same sex, so be it.
As for religion, GOD-based ones preach that HE is the only judge and that we should all love one another as brothers and sisters. Judge not, lest ye be judged.
 
I imagine more money can be made by you at a gay bar than a straight bar. Males typically try to impress more by tipping better than females - or at least buy more drinks.

I'm more likely to tip a hot female bartender better than some dude. So go where the guys would want to tip you more. Does a stripper intend to sleep with everyone she dances for, or just give the illusion so she rakes in the dough?

Besides, lots of straight chicks go to gay bars - especially to get away from being hit on all night. You'll be like a beacon of masculinity for them in a sea of fags - much less competition for you at a gay bar to get the female interest. Plus you win the "sensitive" vote too - get ready for lots of pussy.

So what do you want to do? Make money or kiss ass to a bunch of homophobes? Unless those homophobes are paying your bills, I don't see the problem.

I'm not saying they should hide it. I just don't think they should be flaunting it as much as they are these days. Its is ridiculous. Keep it to yourself. I guess I didn't mean go back in the closet literally like that. I just meant it is getting out of control mostly with media. I don't watch MTV but I might stop channel surfing there for a moment and its like they are "making it cool to be gay" these days. Its way too over the top!. Go ahead a be yourself, but stop with the parades and all!. We know your here and we know your queer!.

What you may consider "flaunting" they may consider "expressing themselves." I think what you may perceive as the media "making it cool to be gay" is just them saying "you're gay, it's cool." I also think the parades are more for the fact that they can celebrate themselves w/o having to fear for their safety/lives. Theses parades generally take place in gay communities, anyway. I'm not Irish or Puerto Rican and their parades always end up blocking traffic where I have to go. I guess I'm of the belief that the more gay men there are, the more tang there is for me!

Exactly how I think of it too.

How many guys like go to a party or the bar and are happy when it's a "sausageFest" (ie: too many guys). None.

We don't like the extra competition. My perfect party has me being the only male there, surrounded by hot women.

2nd best thing would for me to be the only straight male there surrounded by hot women and some gay guys who aren't a "threat".

When you're as fugly as me, you need every advantage you can get, lol. ;)

I do agree with letting gays be gays. I just don't know why they want to get married so badly, most married people I know are divorced and they don't like each other any more.

I guess in a way it's similar to us who get stereotyped and outcasted to a degree for being BBers who chose to use steroids, it just sucks to have others assume things about you because many people judge what they don't understand or the things they fear.
 
I've seen some people get into serious trouble from co-workers and neighbors using their internet postings...It usually isn't a great idea but i've done it from time to time.

Gay bars pay more money to there staff, I think because less people want to work there. My mate did security at a gay bar cause it was better money. Apart from that despite what you would think, you'd pick up more hotter chicks at a gay bar than a straight bar, girls are a lot more friendly at a gay bar for some reason, and if you cant tell the diffrence between a tranny and a chick then theres something wrong.
 
I feel inclined to address a few things in this thread:

1. Gay people have the right to look, say and do whatever they wish as long as they are not hurting others. More power to them. Whether you admit it or not there is and will be for a long time a bias against them. It makes thier lives harder and if they want a parade, or they want to get married, kiss and hold hands in public, go right ahead.

That is not to say that I won't turn my head. I won't say something under my breathe about it being grosse or whatever, but that is my right. I have close friends who are very open about things and we get along great. So IMO, to each his own.

2. Did mrs. gimpy just call kwyck gay? HAHAHA...

3. I am not completely ambiguous on the internet. If you really want to see how damn hot I am jump to my profile and goto my myspace or head over to bb.com and check out my bodyspace page. I just feel that if every post I make is linked directly to my face might prove to be a bad thing.

3. Working at gay bars would probably be a great way to make moeny as gays traditional are better tippers and spend more money.

4. When did Chad's wife get on AM?

That doesn't exactly justify the moral validity of homosexuality. It's pretty well stated in very black and white words that in conclusion: homosexuality is not only unnatural but immoral as well. If you know that and you still commit yourself to it, you're no righter than the one that commits adultery and knows that is wrong as well.

Wrong is wrong and right is right - when people start trying to make "exceptions" or create different "degrees" or "levels" to right and wrong - that's where morality and things of that nature walk right out the door.

I'm sure some people are going to view you as...nothing positive but I completely see where you're coming from. Considering that this is just a passing life....I would think that it's a better idea to just...keep things in their place. Some things are meant to not be brought up or to "come out".

There's also Biblical scripture that some would argue condemns masturbation. It was definitely condemned for centuries by the Catholics and Protestants.
