If i had money, I would so be into this. Same thing with houses man. I wish I had just 10K to invest :(

I'm still digging the GM bonds. right now basically the bondholders want 50% of face value, gm has mentioned 30%. Face value is $25, so you are looking at $7.50 - $12.50 for when GM buys it back (with GM stock though). trading at $3.... My basic hopes are that GM makes the offer on a day when the GM stock is trading a little lower, as then it will be more GM shares per bond. Should be a nice profit play over the next 18-24 months.

Really thats half the question, when do you intend to pull out the $, or is this part of long term investment for retirement

Does anyone know if there is a minimum amount you can invest into stocks in a company, or does it differ from company to company, any insight would be appreciated.

it differs but alot of companies have a min and max order, say like a stocks price is $3 and itll say 3.00 x 100 min or 3.00 x 1000 max, you hafta look at the whole profile.

You can use a company like buyandhold.com which lets you buy fractional shares. Only problem is they generally dont let you buy anything under $5 a share either

Probably because they don't deal with penny stocks. OTCBB and pinksheets are for the gamblers.

GE will always rebound..always...also look into STX (Seagate Technologies)

yeah GE is a nice safe bet. I own that one too but i didnt post it cuz its not as exciting. I liek all of the stocks that i posted earlier cuz they are mostly small cap and hopefully growth stocks. A little more excitement.

Had you bought Delta stock (DAL) only a few weeks ago at around $3, you'd have doubled your $$ by now..
Buying it now, will probably have the same effect at around $6

There are a bunch of stocked that returned that and many times more even. I should have bought when the DOW was at 6000. Damn man I would be in the money big time right now, coulda woulda shoulda.

There is so many companies that are great buys right now though. 100% return in a few weeks is awesome but who knows how well it will do for the next few years, I haven't researched Delta. I puchased mainly growth stocks that I plan on holding onto for 2-3 years. While I would be very very happy with that kind of performance I am more of an investor than a trader. Hopefuly my stocks will bring me in excess of 1000% gains in the time frame I mentioned.

Did you pick up delta at it's low? I will check it out

yeah Dal is not my cup of tea at all. There is way too many variables that could screw that company big time and given their stats all it would take is the price of oil to go up or a crash or anything and you would see that stock tank. Plus i dont have high hopes for the entire industry in the near future. The recent rise in stock prices is just because people are buying them up at cheap prices not necessarily because the companies are healthy.

Some might love it and play that but like I said I am a 2-3 year guy, not a trader.
