Endurance was one of the first things most have noticed.

And with these clowns in here, it's bound to get derailed a few times.

Yeah we will see what happens in tomorrows workout. Will either be shoulders/traps or legs.

The increased recovery isn't there yet as I'm still sore as $hit from my workouts, but when it does get there I will probably add in an extra lift day.

That's kind of weird lol

Alright so I did some cheating over the weekend.....but surprisingly only woke up at 201 today. Happy with that. Going to a cycling class tonight with a girl that's a friend after I lift instead of doing my normal steady state cardio. Should give me more time to lift too. Going to see if the endurance i experienced sat was really there or just placebo.

I was going to do legs today....but since i'm cycling tonight I think i'm going to do shoulders/traps instead (cycling is one hour). Then again maybe I will do legs...my chest and shoulders are still sore from sat's lift. So i guess we'll see.

I'm also starting to mega dose bcaas in between meals when hungry. probably be around 20g while at work and 10g pre workout and 10g intra.

Digging the mega dosing of the BCAA!

Thanks man. Might up that even more. I work at a supplement store and get my Core ABC at a nice discount :)

5g leucine
2.5g valine
2.5g isoleucine
2.5g glutamine
2.5g beta alanine
2.5g citrulline malate

So basically 4 servings of this per day

10g BA/day??

I like everything else being dosed that high, but I don't know if I've heard of anyone mega-dosing BA that high (not saying it would be a problem; just not something I'd heard of).

And if adding this in is new, don't forget that your amino acids are extra calories you're taking in. It's nothing to scare you out of taking them, but just realize that's going to factor into your daily totals.

(figured I'd offer up something relevant since I attempted to derail this thing again)

Haha. Thanks Midwest. Yeah i understand that this is something to factor into my totals. But I talked with one of the best natural bbers in the world...and he said best thing I can do to stave off hunger in between meals is to just mega dose the branch chains.

I'm sure it's not going to be a deal breaker with the extra cals as I continue to slow cut cals away from the diet

I've never dosed BA that high either. I guess we'll see what happens.

I love it. I'm a freak.

Yeah guys I love the BA tingling. Makes me know the $hit ain't bunk.

So tonight I decided to lift quads and shoulders/traps and some abs.....and I think i'll go back to the gym tomorrow and hit hams and shoulders/traps again. I know most of you would say that's a horrible idea. But i'm totally seeing an increase in endurance with this stack so far. And honestly even though it goes again the rule of not enough rest....i think it could be beneficial to hypertrophy and growth. And i'm on anyways so who gives a $hit haha.

BB squats - 135x10, 225x10, 275x8, 275x6, 315x4 drop to 225x6 drop to 135x10 (last two drop sets were sloww)
BB Shrugs - 135x10, 225x10, 315x10, 365x8, x8 drop to 225x10 x10 (last two sets were slow and control with pauses)
Leg Extensions - 150x10, 165x10, 180x10, 195x8, 210x8, 225x8
One Arm DB Laterals - 30x10, x10, 35x10, x10
Various Weighted Ab Circuits
Leg Press - 4pps x10, 5pps x10, 6pps x8, 6pps x8
Machine Shoulder Press - 120x10, 130x10, 140x10

Cycling class for one hour! This will be my new monday night cardio. It kicked my ass AND there were lots of hotties in there. Yeah buddy.

Dosing goes up to 5 ML of each today - 2ML AM, 2ML Afternoon, 1ML Before Bed

Subbed and good luck!

The first time I got the BA tingles, I was incredibly unsettled and nervous. After that I liked them, but anymore, I prefer not dealing with them lol.

I always joked with a friend about spiking punch at a frat party with a ton of beta alanine and niacin (the funny thing is the niacin might actually be marginally beneficial to them).

Haha that would be hillarious....I absolutely hate niacin flush....love the BA tingles

Yeah switching things up can help things from becoming stale.

Just remember that's 220+ extra calories your taking in a day. Doesn't seem like much, but if your cutting it will add up.

Some people drink hard liquor in the winter to keep them warm, others take a couple scoops of Poseidon and let the "flush" do it's thing ;)

Can I ask how you calculate that number?

Yes, it will add up. On off days I won't be using the pre and intra dosing. But in my mind these cals are going to help me hold on to muscle tissue and stay anabolic and maybe even recomp some since i'm on. I can easily balance out those 200 cals by cutting out the natty pb i've been eating before bed or switching my two whole eggs for egg whites or even cutting out my oats. Plenty of options :)

Four cals/gram on the aminos(though in reality it's probably a little higher)

lol I hadn't thought about that. Not a bad idea. I think we must keep bulk BA and niacin in our emergency preparedness kits, then ;)

Nice man! I've always wondered how to calculate those numbers...

I'd actually created a thread on here several months back asking about this, before I knew.

For some odd reason, I was naive and thought they were free of calories (which obviously makes no sense). When you start mega-dosing stuff and you're cutting, it certainly makes a difference. Obviously if it's kept constant, then it's not a big deal, but when it comes to the point of removing some extra mega-dosed amino acids or some whole food, I'll be getting rid of the aminos, first.

I think it's a Catch 22. I know there is an obvious value to whole food.....but i've also seen where guys have leaned up big time utilizing BCAAs while in a caloric deficit. And lets not forget I am on cycle :D

Oh no doubt, man. I'm referring more to the very late stages of a properly set up diet/cut. I know some people are down to 1900 cal/day and nonsense like that (or lower) and they're not tiny guys. I'm just saying at low levels of caloric intake like that, I'd certainly prefer (and mentally need) those sources coming from true food. BCAAs are certainly nice, but that would be where I'd be cutting down on the huge dose of beta alanine, glutamine, etc.

I have a difficult time doing cardio even with some good tunes! I need to start hitting the heavy bag for some good cardio instead.

Yeah I actually used to train jiu-jitsu and tae kwon do so I will do this like once a week....usually on sat. Lots of kicks and punching combos with some jump rope thrown in between to keep it interesting

Guys I might cheat tonight I usually try to save it for the weekends but it's free pancakes at IHOP.......decisions decisions lol

Since you are in a calorie deficit bcaas is very important on keeping your muscles while cutting up. I have mega doses bcaas while cutting calories. The calories in bcaas will be soaked up like a sponge because of the low calories You are consuming. Jus my 2 cents :)

Alright so I stuck to my guns and didn't go to IHOP

Here's how tonight's workout went...endurance is still very apparent

DB Shrugs - 100x10, 105x10, 110x10, 115x10, 120x8, 130x8
Seated Leg Curls - 110x10, 115x10, 120x10, 125x8, 130x8, x8
Stiff Legged DLs - 185x10, 225x10, 225x8, 225x8 (my quads hurt sooo bad from yesterday)
HS Should Press - 2p x10, 2p25 x8, x8, 3p x4 drop to 2p x8
Lying Leg Curls - 100 x10 4-5 sets don't remember
Some quick weighted ab exercises

5 min on the jacob's ladder.....10 min incline treadmill walking.....10 min HIIT on treadmill

also had some jump rope thrown in here and there....

Man you had some endurance today! That's a lot of substance in that workout

Yeah man I hear you there. I've got some more dietary changes coming. I'm thinking about moving my oats to PWO and leaving those out on the days I don't need them (like shoulders and chest day or something). Maybe to just get more of a carb rotation. 25g on off days, 50g on my smaller muscle groups and stronger muscle groups, 75g on legs and back day.

Nice numbers dude!

Late but in.

Thanks guys! I'm only at the beginning of week two so i'm sure those numbers will improve.

Woke up at 197 today. Kinda surprised. Did about 30 min of cardio last night. Dinner was 8oz gound beef and 1 cup rice. Had two tablespoons of natty pb right before bed. I was at 200 yesterday morning. Guess the carbs stoked the fire a bit.
