gotsta have my greens TG.. :cool2:
:D

They are fer damn shure anti-catabolic aren't they???!!! :bigok:
Nothing de-stresses me more quickly or enjoyably as the magic greens!!!

It's a little self reward I grant myself after a grueling battle with the iron foe!!! :439:

gearing up for some shoulder smash this morning, ETA about 1.5hrs..feeling great! :yup:

I'm the same time frame out for an all-out arm blasting session. Tri's then Bi's. Follow up with some forearm work.
I'm stoked to the freakin' gills too!!!!
Gonna Kill With Power!!!!!!:aargh:  :yup:

haha, old school recuperation.. :smoker:

Good to know cuz I will be eating buckets of greens when I get down this winter. Gonna be expensvie though, during the winter the cost of greens is steep. :grumpy:

Guten Morgen DW!!!! I'll bet the greens get really expensive up your way when they're out of season. They don't grow very well in ass deep snow!!
I live in the deep south of the U.S. so the friendly Mexicans keep a nice crop of "veggies" coming over the border during the winter months.

Seeing a head of lettuce for $2 makes me cry inside :( I miss then 2 for 1$ deals during the summer glory days. I stocked up on powdered greens (Wheatgrass, SPirullina, Chlorella, Barley Grass) and might use that to supplant the lettuce but they taste terrible and don't make a chicken ceasar worth a damn.

Romaine was 3 bucks on the weekend where I am. I did ok on brocolli though, that won't last.

I like the pre-packaged stuff myself, romaine, mediterranean and seven lettuce blends..usually have a sale on those things, but when I gotta pay regular price $2.98 for 10oz I'm not a happy camper! :rasp:
(especially when I buy 6/week for me and the wife!)

We have the big packages of field greens and their like 5 bucks. I can get that stuff free as they serve it at our lunch at work, so one or two will last us a week, for dinners.

another solid session.. :dunno:
3x14 BB shoulder press (alt front/behind neck)
3x12/10/8 BB seated military
3x12 leaning 45degree DB lateral
3x10 trap raises w/ EZ curl bar
1 set to failure alt-arm DB speed front raises
5 different exercises for abs (3 weighted/2 bodyweight)

lil leg pic from this morning..like everything else, need to bust the mower out..will be soon.

haha! not on par with my upper body (never has been my strength as you know), but for coming back from injury I'll take it. :pirate:
of course, it would look better w/o all the hair, that's kinda unprofessional of me but I'm shaving soon enough, and I've been enjoying taking my break from that tedious task. eh, the wife likes it, and it goes good with the beard..it's winter time, wth.. :D

man, you and DW are role models for me as i get older. I hope I'm in half as good shape as you at 38 and especially DW at 51!

keep up the gnarlyness

That was my dinner last night but I had a nice ribeye steak instead... still woke up a pound lighter than the day before. Nice food porn Snag, as always!

You make dieting look delicious Chef Snag!!!! :food:

haven't changed the diet much up to this point; TUE night had some unexpected additions to my diet, none of it good, so I ran fasted training upon rising yesterday and dialed back the carbs & cals for the day..
usually, day after a cheat day, I'm rocking the workout and feeling like Hercules. not so yesterday, for some reason I just felt like I was in neutral the whole time, missing the focus and intensity I been thriving on. just a blip on the radar I'm sure; and actually, it wasn't a bad workout, still got some decent poundages going on, just wasn't locked in. after another off day today I'm looking to crush some wheels tomorrow! :D
just focused on chest yesterday:
5x15/12/10/8/6 flat BB bench
4x10/8/6 incline DB bench
3 sets incline DB flyes ss w/ decline DB press
had the option of doing tri's, abs, or some cardio as well..did none of them, like I said it just wasn't on this day.
diet will be undergoing some changes as I try to get a lil hardened up before the 2-day Christmas fest I'll be having - dinner at mom's the day of, mom-in-laws the day after. think I'll pull out some semi-keto'ish schematics for the next week.

you know TG, it's not a glamorous meal by any means, but I could seriously eat that 3x/day or more if need be. as we've talked about before, I love da red meat! :yup:

I've got to remind myself to have some red meat. I eat so much friggin' fish and chicken these days. I think I'm gonna grow some gills and start flying. LOL

Speaking of all you can eat, the girls and I celebrate the end of our year with a feast at our favourite brazillian restaurant. All the meat you can eat!! This saturday I can't wait!! :bigok:

alternative spin on my beef & greens meal..
8oz sirloin
4oz salad w/ cherry tomatoes
2 TBS olive oil vinaigrette, w/ ground peppercorn

decided to have a smidgen of ketchup with my mustard tonight. :p

all right, like that ol' Aerosmith tune, "i'm back in the saddle again"..okay, not quite the same thing they were talking about, but you get the drift..the workout was on! :D
5 sets DB jump squats, 5 sets BB Romanian DL, 2 sets each of 3 different bw ab exercises. went all out - I'm exhausted! :dead:
feel great tho..mixing things up a bit here in my last week thru this rotation; calves will be done w/ back & arms on SUN.

Love that song! I actually have it playing in my head at times during a good workout.

this is how I roll..
gotta work 11hrs today, so I need 5 of my 7 planned meals during that time - 2 solid and 3 liquid today.

That reminds me of my meals I bring to work Snag, good to see others share passion for tupperware, lol!

so the food mix for the day is 2 servings of 10oz meat portions (3oz turkey breast + 7oz sirloin), one eaten with broccoli and one with a salad.
one shake is 400cals, 48g P and 28g C
the other 2 shakes are 310cals, 40g P and 13g C
breakfast was majority of my carbs for the day - 1/2 cup oats and 1 ginormous grapefruit..I'm leaning out already!

holiday recipe of the day..
dig this with some Wheat Thins, as a lil snack. :approve:
you need a food processor to make this, but oh man..
ooooooooooo mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......................... :food:

Holiday appetizer: Smoked Salmon Spread
A splash of pepper-flavored vodka gives this salmon spread a sophisticated flair. If you like, use plain vodka instead but be sure to season generously with freshly cracked pepper before serving. Smoothly puréed nonfat cottage cheese replaces cream cheese and sour cream to cut the fat by about 80%.

Serves: 16
Preparation time: 45 minutes

Ingredients
8 ounces smoked salmon
1-1/2 cups nonfat cottage cheese
3 tablespoons pepper-flavored vodka, such as Absolut Peppar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish

Preparation
1. Cut half the salmon into chunks. Dice the remaining salmon. Place cottage cheese in a fine-mesh sieve and press on it to remove excess moisture. Transfer the cottage cheese to a food processor. Add the salmon chunks, vodka, lemon juice, mustard and horseradish. Process until smooth.

2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and fold in the diced salmon. Refrigerate until chilled.

Enjoy!

Got it will be making this during the holidays.. thanks. This sounds fantastic.

ahh si amigo, I think you'll groove on this one. :yup:

couple odds & ends (I'm bored here at work)..
man, my hammies are baked from yesterday! really digging the slight variation I've adopted on my RDL form - legs slightly bent (as usual), but all thru the movement now, keeping tension on the hams thruout, constant motion (no pausing), really wears 'em out..
also, forgot to mention that I added OEP couple days ago, stacking w/ my RC (2 RC + 1 OEP, 2x daily, before breakfast & midafternoon meal; Jack3d is used away from these dosings, my only preWO energy boost)..I used this earlier in the summer when we were beta testing it, but not on a regular basis..looking forward to see what this can do as I try to get my lean on.
I'm close to dropping the dosing on my A-Stack as well. decided to ramp up to CEO Stack for 2 weeks, then descend to the '69 Protocol' for final 7-10 days (PF still at 9 daily), at which time I will break from everything again for 4 weeks or so.

Is this your first time with OEP ?

We were talking about this very subject in Mr. Kleen's thread just the other day.
We described these knees-bent variation of SLDL's as "Dorian Yates SLDL's". LOL
I feel the contraction in my hammies MUCH better than the true stiff-legged variety.
I know that you were referring to Romanian Deads, but the principle still applies.
Glad to know that you're back in the saddle again, cowboy!!! :clap2:

Yah my method to a tee...I can't straighten out my hams cuz they're just so stiff all the time, no matter how much I stretch them, as long as I push my butt out when I'm coming down I still get a very good stretch. My glues and hams are always on fire.

Why is it that some bodyparts are just easier to get DOMS on? My hamstrings and triceps are the 2 easiest muscle groups to get majorly sore on. Is it the mind/muscle connection being activated to a greater degree subconsciously? I wonder......

Hamstrings are always the first thing to tighten.. on most people anyway. Also if you do squats the hamstrings get worked, then most of us turn around and do SLDL's on top of that, or leg curl.

another solid workout, altho I decided to forego direct bicep work today (will devote a day solely to arms later this week, as I go into a rest period)..so back and calves: bent BB rows, Perfect PullUps, and seated D-grip cable rows, 4 sets standing calf raises (toes str/in/out/str). ended with 20min moderate cardio.
feeling swole! hammies are a bit better today, not as sore as I figured, helped that I stretched profusely last night, more than usual.

all right, officially at the end of this rotation, but like I said I'll do some arms and abs WED, probably some chest work THUR, and some legs SAT before I break for the last week of the yr. (about 10 days of rest coming - I'll be in a couple Indianapolis GNC's the 2nd & 3rd of JAN talking to ppl about USP products).
busted out a different scheme for shoulders: after warming up, did push press, seated lateral raise, and bent laterals with 3 different contraction points (slightly angled back, out to sides, outstretched to front). followed w/ 20min moderate cardio.

Have a recuperative break and a great holiday season there Dee-Dubya!!! :clap2:
And I sure hope that you decide to log that new routine. :veryhappy:

I'll be on the edge of my chair until January.
Consider me old arse........pre-subbed. :deal:
