Funny to see a big guy like you eating these small meals. That's why I could never make it with traditional dieting a meal like that would do nothing for my hunger and I felt like that all the time. I know everybody needs to just do what works for them. I know IF style eating helps me stay lean but now I see that I can make gains on it as well. I just have more control.

I think I should just go to your house and steal your meals. Looks awesome and much like some of mine. I haven't bought grapefruit in awhile...a shame and probably need to change that.

LOL everyone thinks my meals are small! :p
i guess when you employ IF, by comparison it is.
it is intentional that, for the most part, i keep my meals in the 500-650cal range, multiple feeding thruout the day (~every 2-3hrs) -- all in the name of keeping my blood sugar stabilized.
it works for me tremendously well.
(besides - i don't care to sit around feeling like a lump because i just mauled a gazillion cals at one time)

i'm glad IF works for you.

just brought back the gf recently, for my hardening time.
it will be in play now for awhile. :yup:

Yah big meals are generally later in the day and it's surprising how over time you learn how to metabolise them and the amount you can eat at one sitting actually increases. You should see tbe looks on some peoples faces when they see how much I eat and I am all lean :)

I too will be busting out the grapefruit and some blueberries too after the first of the year. For the most part that will be the only carbs I get in other than my pre-post workout nutrition.

I will keep close to maintenance cals but cut out all dairy and replace those with almonds, black beans and maybe some yams. Being that I start 1-alpha, 550 in five days this will likely have be burning some fat. Fruit is already a pretty big aspect of my diet but might add in some grapefruit as well.

WEEK #6 SUMMARY

okay well heading into the last 2 weeks of the cycle..
back pumps have increased, as has lethargy. stano hasn't kicked in yet. also my sleeping hasn't been the best.
on the plus side - diet seems to have caught up with product, as i can tell i'm a bit heavier now but w/o any fat accumulation.
my lean bulk has now turned into a recomp. which is fine, as 1-Alpha/M-Sten combo appears well-suited for that as well.
strength is still good. once i get rolling into workout, everything is fine. it's just getting going that has been an issue recently.

one oddity to note:
have had some skin irritation/itching issues going on, not pleasant at all.
i cannot trace the cause of it.

strange.

Some of the ingredients in pre-workouts do that to me when skin gets dry, might be BA or something.

no bro..not the BA tingles.
much different.
besides - using Ignite2. has never caused that issue.
if i had to self-diagnose, i'd say my liver is stressed.
alas - i am not a doc.

How is the color of your bowels, they will get lighter when your liver is getting kicked around. What are you taking for the liver? I like TUDCA and or Liv52 both work extremely well and don't interfere with methyls.

well bowels are never consistently the same color man. depends on what i been eating.

and yeah am using tudca.

True... but really light is one of the signs.

Yeah I bet, your new look is extremely impressive, full and beastly.

I would say that you turned things around nicely at the end of 2012 and that 2013 isn't looking too shabby big man. Keep the fight in you bubba!

thanks Joe.
yeah this last week been ruff but hell i am very pleased with end of year shape/progress.
the comparison between this offseason & last is, well literally there is no comparison.

final summary for this stack coming this w/e.

Yeah Major changes for certain you have done a lot of growing this year and gotten leaner over all in doing so.

If you guys are done talkin about the color of your bowels.... I have some bidness for yah .... Invalid Link Removed

FINAL SUMMARY:
was an interesting ride..a tale of two halves really.
just to refresh, i was using 1-Alpha for three weeks prior to starting the M-Sten, and ran 1-Alpha/M-Sten stack for addtl 4 weeks.
for the initial 3 weeks of isolated 1-Alpha, benefits came rapidly and potent -- all was uphill and building momentum..workouts went well, strength was on, recovery was good. as far as my outlook on things - wasn't overly aggressive, handled things well when i got stressed. about the only negative thing was some horrendous night sweats (which i seem to be susceptible to these, i am finding). these lasted longer than they usually do for me this time around..
body comp-wise, i made some great strides in size w/o adding the dreaded fat. dietary guide was very spot-on, and i ended up getting to 208ish at my peak, as i controlled comp by adding, then tightening, then adding again all the way thru.
at three weeks in, along came M-Sten added to the stack. it was like starting over again - i mean starting over on a fresh cycle, where all the benefits & effects are potent and brand new again. night sweats hit me again (briefly), everything went into overdrive..
it was almost like i could do what i wanted, at will. if i wanted to add size, boom! it was there.
if i wanted to cut a smidge, boom! and a day or two later the changes i wanted were there.
and then....
two weeks in on the stack (and 5 weeks in overall), things changed subtly. while week six wasn't that bad at all, week seven i felt like i was in quicksand.
recovery shot..sleep horrendous..mood not too swell. itchy patches of skin. i added some stano into the mix to combat initial lethargy entering week #6, and i sensed it helping - for a minute. then, nothing. i also went up to 30mg on M-Sten for the last 4 days -- noticed nothing at this point.
was really an unpleasant last few days..lost my appetite, couldn't eat my normal fare at the end..quite disappointing.

alas -- as the pictures show thruout, i made some great progress here at the end of the year. i am fairly pleased with the stack i chose, in hindsight - i should have kept it to 6 weeks in duration however. i think that extra week was just a lil too much for me, at this time.

anyway -
final thoughts on 1-Alpha/M-Sten products: solid compounds, fairly light on the sides.

what's next for snags? i'm not goin anywhere fellas, my offseason continues..
gonna rest and recoup, and come back still hittin hard..some new toys from Finaflex on the way to me to play with..schweet. :cool2:

moving right along....

okay so i broke out the first cardio session of the year..
(actually was first cardio session since i last played tennis in september/october)
did some LISS, 15min worth just to break myself in gently.
and - wth, my inner thighs are freakin raw after about 10 of those minutes.

Compression shorts...just saying lol

Good Run my Brotha, I like the final review!

Compression shorts...just saying lol
indeed.
it was a spur of the moment idea to do some cardio, as i was listening to my playlist and heard some Rocky IV music..got me all excited. i really dint think i'd need undergarment protection for such a short/light session.
oops.

Nice final summation...good luck with continuing the solid training and diet.

Great review and of course great run. So once I get a bit leaner I am thinking of doing 1 week hypo caloric and one week hyper caloric to slowly add lean mass. Is that pretty close to what you did on the calories?

mmm not really.
altho there was a pattern intended, i ended up breaking off and just going by feel/mirror.
the idea tho:
3 weeks gain, 1 week cut
2 weeks gain, 1 week cut
1 week gain, 1 week cut

not your typical 'gain' or 'cut' phases tho..just kept things clean, altered cals intelligently. 500-1000 over maintenance, then 0-500 below maintenance levels. on off days, i did maintenance level..of course moving carbs around steadily as well.

altho it was a seesaw protocol, the idea in a nutshell: to stay on the + side of caloric intake as much as possible.

Got ya, it definitely worked well for you.

Good review, I wonder if it was addin the Msten that made things go a little south at the end or too long on 1-alpha ?

I think probably the M-Sten we have had more than a few people take the 1-Alpha to 6-8 weeks at this point with no issues. On top of that M-Sten is a much harsher compound.

Good point ... I will be low balling it with heavy Osta use so I should be fine.

yeah i'm not gonna sit here and point the finger all at M-Sten.
that said - it was most definitely a contributing factor.
i think i would have been fine running one compound or the other, only.
also - methylated compounds seem to be a bit harsher on me i am finding, whereas all the non-methyls i've done i've handled extremely well.

back into the weights today.. busted out a nice lil chest/ab bb'ing session.
felt good.

Yeah I bet some of the lethargy had to do with 1-Alpha it is a pretty common side of 1-Alpha.

Nice how long will it be before you run the 550XD and EPI-V?

awhile yet.
i'm excited as hell to try them out, but it's not time.
March perhaps.

i did however dive into the G8 to check it out..
stuff's the real deal, first impressions are good. :yup:

Snags that G8 is so awesome. Incredible in fact. Can't wait to hit my epi-v.

Yah it's really fuggin strong, I still only take about 3/4 of a scoop.

Come guys damn, is it march yet so I can tap my 2 bottles.

I know. I already bought some back when NP was running the bogo with creatona.

Yeah, I will have to go with Stano, Green Tee, Methyl Synephrine and Uva Ursi to lean up for my show. I don't have any of it.
