Haha nose torc it is then. Ill have to man up and be able to sniff that sht like you guys. Herder sniffs it like a woman sniffing flowers

When I was your age, I was scraping the coating off of ephies (which were branded "Mini Thins") and snorting them before I lifted on occasion, lol. I discovered the ECA far before it went viral, LOL. But the chronic aspirin was for chronic hangover, lol.

Smoker, with regards to Nose Tork, look at the strong, silent example of Eric Spoto. Your other Nose Tork guru is Clint Darden. Honestly, I should email Clint about coaching me. Not for strength athletics, but for life. He's got it down.
 
Bench was no go. Had that shoulder blade pain again. Gonna have to up the mashing this week.

Did chest flies for the first time in 6-7 months, felt pretty good.

S tbar row 90. 3x10, 2x8, 2x6 ( was getting tired)

Cable row wide grip 100 3x10
Close grip 130. 3x10

Face pulls 30. 6x12
Tricep work.

Did sled work and **** that. Couldn't breathe, thougt I was having an asthma attack, brought back bad memories.
 
Something about opening a box in the mail filled with stuff you want.... Great feeling. Feel like a kid at Xmas
 
Get set up more. Get a bigger chest, flatter back. Take the slack out of that bar and then rip it up. You have a kind of hunch in your lumbar that I don't like. Take your time grabbing that bar because you want to be in a good position. What matters is what happens when you start pulling. Also once you are in position shift back a little bit so you are using your body weight to pull the bar a little, it will help you break the ground.
 
I appreciate the feedback brother. I guess I have to find my place. Usually when I pull the slack out and lean back my ass dips down to far. The lift felt good but I do see the lb round. Just gotta keep on truckin with it.
 
It was a lot better man you are improving. like I said just take time to set up, no rush. I take plenty of time prepping for my pulls. You just make sure your weight is on the middle/back of your feet, and pull the slack out while maintaining your starting position. Keep tight and your hips won't dip if you are truly tight.
 
Yea I think I took a step in the right direction by getting down lower to the bar before touching it. Next time Ill definitely pull the slack out and try and get that big chest. If I can do they better I think I'll be able to flatten out more.

Also gonna need to start using that belt to get comfortable with it. Digs into the stomach
 
Wear the belt higher and you'd be alright. Looks like you could go a notch tighter on it too. I get mine right under the bottom rib. Gives me support and a springing effect. I want more air in the stomach before you go. Always more air. Max air, all the fukking time.

Then do it. You'll get lots of practice before your next deadlift. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 hours of practice time, so no excuses if you don't have it down pat. Yes, the video is 20min long, but it's freaking important, so hunker down, get some popcorn, and learn how to lift more weight.
 
Ill watch when I get off work, thanks bro. And getting that belt a notch tighter would be tough. I had to get a trainer to help me get it where it was lol. And yes I've tried using the rack to help tighten it. But I'll see what I can do for sure.

If it ain't tight, you ain't powerlifting! Perhaps I'm full of shyt, that has happened in the past. Perhaps I'm spoiled with my lever belt. With that thing, I'll get it about as tight as I can with the lever open, then close it. Supa tight.
 
I feel like I can't get full of air if I over tighten and it hurts me but that's just me. I brace core, tighten, suck in and tighten a little more an lock it.
 
I'm with you there, Country. Too tight is just as bad as too loose. I just think he was too loose!

That said, smoker, if you're not comfortable with it one notch tighter, then don't do it. You have to work your way up to overtightened stuff. You'll see what I mean when you use knee wraps. ;)
 
Ill try a notch tighter. I'm very open to suggestions and comments on all my lifts so I can improve.

And I'm not there yet with the wraps but that will be a discussion come summer time hopefully

Go to Dick's and buy the cheap ones after the meet. They don't change your form, give you a little tiny bit of carryover and overload depending on how you wrap them, and they'll tell you if your the kind of sicko that wants to trade pain for pounds for the rest of his life, because wrapped tight those thin suckers hurt a lot.
 
Did arms, shoulders, and some light face pulls to get done blood flowing to rhomboid.

Gonna try and get it checked out by robs chiro. Maybe some stim therapy on that bish. Weight down to 173. Gonna maintain and do water the rest of the way now
 
I just followed the weight chart at lifting large. Same at most places. Only thing is they sold out a lot of places when I ordered.

Yeah. As far as buying a singlet you don't have much in the way of time. It's gonna take some time to get out there, especially with the holidays coming up. Hurry up and order before you have to borrow one from your old high school wrestling team.

I've been contemplating ordering some super heavy knee/elbow sleeves lol.

Lol go for it jimmy boy. I'm mad cause I coulda saved some money if I didn't order the other week and just waited. Gonna have to think more like a girl and think of sales like these ahead of time

Well I got the red 60 cm ones the other week and I'm diggin em ( wrist wraps). I paid 16, I think they're 8 now

I have their knee and wrist wraps. Both are just the basic ones. Wrist wraps are solid. Knee wraps are soft with a good amount of stretch. I don't really have anything to compare them to, but I like them.
