Slim X and face tingles

Hello!

I love my Slim X but I have questions and maybe someone could help me to figure it out. I take one cap in the morning with my Lean X. Not an issue and I am really awake which is cool. After taking one cap of Slim X for 3 days straight, the left side of my face starts tingling. Very weird. So I stop taking the Slim X until it goes away in about a day or so. Any thougts about this? I don't drink any caffeine at all or eat chocolate. :wave2:

Thanks as always.

The light brown lady!

Howdy!

To be very honest with you, that's a new one! I'm stumped. There's always a few folks who have "different" side effects, but in your case, I'm really clueless. I'll try to ask around for you to see what it might be, but I'll bump the thread for now in hopes someone else on might be able to help more.

Until then, are you taking anything else - supplement or prescriptions at all? Has anything else changed recently, like your diet or any other physical ailments? Are you prone to any ailments, conditions, or other health concerns or have a history of such things?

I think i had every side with SX there is! But face tingles was not one of them im afriad.

Are you taking beta alaine?

I thought the same thing, as BA is the only thing I've used, or really heard of for that matter, that causes a tingling or flushing sensation. Certain stims can cause a bit of a rushing sensation, but those are usually highly caffeinated or the user is extremely sensitive and has heavily overdosed their first time out. SX doesn't have either of those, and the onset of it is gradual, time-released, and long lasting. Even a "stim sensitive" user would most likely react by feeling either a bit overstimulated or just having the feeling of being awake and alert for a lot longer than they are used to. But a tingling feeling? I'm still puzzled... Time to call in Dr. D on this one!

Thanks,

I can take Stimulant X without a problem. I am not on any other meds or stims. So I am confused also. I have alot left but I hesitate to take it...

I'm not 100% on whether or not this is it, but there is some modulation of histamine levels which seem to occur with one of the actives in SX.

Does your face start to flush/blush when you notice this?

The things that make me tingle are b-Alanine (as mentioned), GABA, and Niacin, but never this supp.

What else are you using (drugs and/or OTC), and how's you calcium intake these days?

Hi there!

Dr. D- I take calcuim supplements at night to prevent bone loss.

The Sinner- I don't flush or blush on this but I do think that I had a histimine issue. I broke out in itchy small pimples on my arms and chest. It is gone now.

I will try taking it with food. I have been taking it 30-45 minutes before eating. I'll let you know how it goes with food. Hopefully, the face stops the tingling madness.

Thanks for all your help guys!! I appreciate it!

Interesting on the hives breakout. Hopefully, it's a fluke.

Take with something light, and hopefully this will fix your face tingliness.

Hives are strange indeed. They are a type-1 immune reaction (aka: allergy) but many factors are involved. What kind of status are your mast cells in, what time of year is it, what has presensitized you and how long has the titer been circulating, are you on blood thinners like aspirin or anything that alters histamine levels or serotonergic function in platelets, etc, etc.. Hives can even have a psychosomatic component with no external trigger. Much like our thoughts can induce other physiological changes, like thinking about food and salivating, or contemplating a stressful event and that causing your pulse to be elevated. Interesting implications and a complicated clinical picture to say the least.

Titer shall be my word of the day today.

If histamine and serotonin have a role, SX might have a role, which could be potentiated by external influences. Ragweed Pollen! (lol, sorry, it was from a video I watched in high school. Imagine the voice of a lady who's smoked one too many Virginia Slims, essentially yelling "Ragweed Pollen!" with little regard to annunciation and slurring them together)

OMG, I just did imagine that and the visual was quite disturbing. I suspect what my mind extrapolated from your description may have been even worse than your original experience! Maybe you can laugh about it now my friend, but I'll surely be in counseling for years to come.

Did you imagine the lady or her (what's left of her) cooter?

It was like that seen in Happy Gilmore, with the big guy running after me in slow motion, except it was HER! That hideous lady you propelled into my consciousness. She was all sloppy drunk from excessive antihistamine intake, and trying to have her way with me too. It was horrible! Not cool B.

Hi All,

Well the hives may be from being under lots of stress and maybe pollen here in the Deep South. I got a case of sneezing today from cutting the lawn (yes, I cut my grass, still learning how to edge and use the weed eater, many times I want to just kill the grass with chemicals..sigh...). Anyhoo, taking SlimX with food helped a little but not enough I am afraid. With Stim X, I don't have a problem. Who knows maybe my body is going through a process or journey and SlimX will be just fine down the road.

Smiles

That's ok if you wanna cut the grass. It's a good workout! Women are allowed to do some stuff like that, lol. For example, I'm not ashamed to admit that my mom is a more advanced lopper than me, lol. I never thought she'd surpass me in the yard work department, but she has a passion for lopping! She has the fanciest ones I've ever seen too. haha

I think molds are high too this year. Something airborne has been messing with my allergies for sure. I don't notice that SX exaggerates my allergies when I take it, if anything it might help slightly.

I don't think I'd mow the grass without a 4mg Chlor-tab (OTC) or dust mask this time of year, just asking for a stuffy nose and possibly hives too. I use that topical 2% Benydryl spray (OTC) when I get a hive and find it reasonably effective.

Thanks again. Did I tell you that you all or y'all are marvelous? Being a tall lady at 5'9.5" losing some weight is pretty easy for me and I can hold alot of weigh without looking bad, so StimX plus the Lean FX are doing their jobs. I must bid a temporary "good bye" to SlimX. I do wish that Triac was still on the market, darn the FDA.

I'm glad to hear you are getting your great results. Sorry to hear you had to part ways with the SX for a while, but it's sometimes good to take a break from stimulants for a little bit.

Dude, I freaking hope not. That would be the end of the world as we know it.

lol

What are your thoughts on a calendar featuring that hookworm?
