SkRaw85 Training Log

This is a treat to hear! You have been working hard & working smart to realize this goal, and it’s great to see it come to fruition. Make sure you take the next few training weeks easy, and back the calories down. Joints, gut, organs all will appreciate the deload.

Thanks beother!
Going to bang out a max strict standing the next day or two, then wave down. Excited to not HAVE to eat huge constantly, that is welcomed. Blasting glutathione next week and detoxing

Didnt set my scaps proper for the 275 miss but I knew the problem instantly. Turned up the sound of truth and ripped the ammonia to double PR that biotch! I really, really, really wanted a 300 OHP and ground it out today. Bench and OHP PR days apart, i am satisfied (for the moment being lol) Thats a wrap gents. Back to the drawing boards for a November meet.

The Sound of Truth by As I Lay Dying? That one is a banger for sure! Listened to it last week.

This is really cool; that’s a fat Strictpress max!!!

crazy proud of you man, I've never seen a 300lb OHP in real life. but now all I can think about is how bad I want to see you hit 3 wheels 😂

what kind are you using? I haven't had any in stock for like over a year and have been thinking about it again lately.
Maybe 3 wheels by november. Actually, yes, 100% by november at latest 🤘🏻

Ive been huffing skull smash lately. Tasty.

Absolutely impressive….a 295 OHP followed by a 300…when you go for the 315 you need to see if someone can video that. That’s as impressive as some of your bench numbers to me.💪😎👍

Skull Smash is one of the best brands IMO. Quality strength, good smell, solid active life and actually priced realistically. Not like some of this boutique, overpriced garbage made for kids who fail to realize we’re just huffing chemicals to drive an adrenaline response.

next PR will come when you fire this up bro. if this doesn't send you straight to 3 wheels then I'm not sure what possibly could. the sax solo seals the deal.

ahhhh yeah that was the one you recommended to me, I need to reorder. so many 'flavors' though which is sorta confusing to me. I kept mine until it basically completely dried out and I was sticking my nose in the container like it was a line of blow in the end lol.

Just get the classic blue one, unless you want a particular scent added or need it extra strong or weak.

Also, the EliteFTS Summer Breeze is awesome; I don’t even like Lilac scent but it’s just a phenomenal ammonia product if you happen to be ordering from there for their 4th of July sale. Wrist wraps and such are stupid cheap right now.

at one point I couldn't figure out why my gym bag smelled like piss and then I realized some of the powder had spilled lol.

I can see it now, "Babe, did you happen to see a cat piss in my workout bag????"

Omg first real session after prep is brutal. 8x6 ftw. Been blasting out some bro pump sessions the past few weeks to keep blood moving. This was brutal. Let the phase one suffering ensue!!!!!

Nice work, so what are the current goals, are you gong to try to build more muscle now to push heavier weight easier, or are you going to slim down for a little bit while still focusing on strength?

Thanks Chris, leaning out (a “recomp” if you will), dropped the aggressive feeding. Running low dose test and 2iu GH for a bit before pulling bloods. This is a good time to shred up a little bit especially with this damn heat. When performance begins to take a hit ill slowly bump up cals.

Looks like your deload went well. How’s your body feeling? Still using good weight and looking strong.
Took 2 weeks off post meet and just had full body bro pump sessions without logging. Probably could have used another week tbh. Switching gears to these high volume sets was pure hell but got it done. Went to MT to visit fam the past few weeks and get some river floating and time away from the congestion of non-brained humans, that was much needed. Had to go to a commercial gym for the first time in a loooong while, man that was exciting! Have my first true deload of this block coming this week and it is welcomed. My body has made the transition at this point and looking/feeling swole 💪🏻

Yeah man getting away and enjoying nature does so much for the soul and body. My wife and I try at least once a month to just go to a river, a lake, or falls and just de-stress. It really is refreshing and rejuvenating.😎👍

If we don’t unplug we go crazy 🤯

Neat to see the difference in 3-board numbers between when you spent more energy on bench volume prior vs saving more for the 3-board after.

after enough years on here it seems like everyone is human and it always ebbs and flows. I've noticed everyone gets a bit of burnout (whether its CNS, just mental/boredom, both, etc) and just staying active for a brief stint makes it easier to come back to the barbell when the fire is lit again. I've always said that 9 out of 10 of my sessions are probably more out of discipline and internal drive than a desire to go beat myself up, but those 9 build into that 10th great session where everything aligns. I think its one of the reasons I like the cut/bulk or cut/strength approach, it lets me reset and change gears from time to time to fend off boredom or fatigue.

It’s in your longterm best interest after a meet to take it very easy for the first week, and typically 3-6 weeks with a lighter training plan. Give connective tissue a break & focus on things that you neglected during the peak.

Plenty of people are hungry as ever after a successful competition, but you should give the body a break after stressing it so much.

Pulling the plug on the meet that’s 13 weeks away. Way too soon for every aspect. Time to keep building 💪🏻
I think that’s a wise move. I don’t see how you would make a PR without a similar amount of gear exposure, or at least a substantial overall dosage for you, and it’s too soon for that.

But it is a perfect time to get back to hard base training to set up for that time a bit further down the line 💪

Yeah definitely understandable….give your entire system time to recover from gear, like Hyde said, and gives you time to keep adding to that foundation that you’ve built.💪😎👍

Exactly, no way in hell I was ready to jump back in to the deep end right now. Reps and cluster sets it is for a while

Good to hear, I thought that one was a bit soon.
